A tearful Harrison Ford receives honorary Palme d'Or at 'Indiana Jones' premiere in Cannes

- Harrison Ford said he was “deeply moved and humbled” as he received an honorary Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
The veteran US actor, 80, was presented with the accolade on Thursday ahead of the world debut screening of his new film Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny.
The film sees Ford return as the globe-trotting archaeologist more than 40 years after his first stint in Raiders Of The Lost Ark in 1981. - Zábava
I grew up with Harrison Ford movies. He will always have a special place in my heart. This was a well-deserved award for an absolute gem.
Dude has only one Oscar nomination in his legendary movie career. Give him the Lifetime Oscar. He deserves it...

Harrison has always been his own man and kept his feet on the ground while also being an actor. There are not many who have been able to do that.

I've just been to see that movie..... and it's fantastic and emotional, as I literally grew up with Indiana Jones. The world loves you Mr. Ford, and would like to say Thank You for the Memories.
Harrison Ford is a legend , a living legend. He's one of a kind. He's very subtle about certain stuff. He very much deserves the honour. But Indiana Jones, is not Cannes's kind of film. I feel that they're using it as a way to really Honor this man , for his career and body of works, which he deserves, of course. Much respect. Still love Indy. No matter what. And we all kind know now , that Harrison loves Indy.

Ford is actually capable of acting whereas the other guys in that group not so much (Ok , Stallone is legit but his real talent is writing) .. Ford has played many different roles, not just action heros.

I wonder if Ford is the last of the true movie stars. The Humphrey Bogarts, Cary Grants, Katherine Hepburns etc. Hollywood has changed so much due to all the different options now that no one actor can dominate the industry the way he did for 20 years.
And maybe that's a good thing. Ford has handled fame well, but such a ridiculous level of fame, to where you become like a mini god to people (which Ford has avoided by leading a very private life - he is beloved, but he doesn't pretend he's someone he's not for anyone), and the fame, the money and the lifestyle just drive a lot of people crazy or they fall apart.

He's not but he's a revered star and has played character's more iconic than almost all revered actor's, Schwarzenegger and Stallone aren't so revered for their acting either but they're massive icons, all three deserve a lot more reverence for their acting anyway.

Well I'm boycotting his new IJ film. I live in the NE of England and last summer Ford was here filming. A group of fans asked for autographs and he told them to F*** off. He is a nasty person. These big film stars should remember it's the fans who make them rich. He then flew to London and after his "advisers" spoke with him was shown laughing and getting his photo taken with fans. He is not popular here now. He needs to issue an apology.
