    As someone living in Europe, they claim Christianity is not important, yet i use to pay church tax when i lived in east Germany, my husband swore on bible when signing his work contract. All public holidays are related to Christian religion and not even a single holiday attributed to other religions. Expect UK, will any other European country accept a non-Christian person as a president or PM??. I highly doubt it. Europeans might not go to church, but Christianity is deeply rooted in their culture..

      Lived and worked in Germany for more than 10 years.I find people here are more deeply rooted in their faith than people in India. They believe in the superiority of their culture and religion but because society has not as raw as it is in India they tend to mask their faith better. What I mean is they will not openly discuss their religion especially the missionary aspects of Christianity but make no mistake they stand 100% behind it.

    Matthew 24
    3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
    4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
    9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

    This topic and questions are really interesting, because in Norway (and the other Nordic countries) it is being seriously considered whether or not there exists a spirituality centered around experiences in nature. It's often a joke here in Norway that we go out for walks a lot and are obsessed with nature, but as a secular and quite irreligious country, I think this is genuinely a form of spirituality for many Norwegians, even if we don't necessarily call it that. Going out for a walk in a quiet forest and sitting down without distractions easily turns into a form of meditation, for example, and it's been scientifically proven that you lose your sense of ego/self when you do this, as well.
    So, while people do leave religion, that doesn't necessarily mean they are not spiritual. Again, in the Nordic countries, this typically manifests in appreciation of and experiencing nature.

    • @neempatta6771
      @neempatta6771 Před 25 dny +1

      Then Nordic countries would not have brought misery to humanity and non whites, what a crap to say nords go for nature walk so they are spiritual, in Bharat whole area is spiritual and nature we live with, called DHARMA.

    • @madhukarmurthi9064
      @madhukarmurthi9064 Před 25 dny +3

      Nature is indeed a part of the greater consciousness and way things work (sanatana dharma) and and is replenishing for the body but more importantly also for the soul. Flora and fauna, when uninterrupted by man's unspiritual quest for power and assets, are at more peace than the humans struggling in the unanchored confusing and stormy ocean of samsara. In western religion the "you" is the body, but in sanatana dharma the "you" is the soul - it was there before the body, and will be there after the body, on this same earth (not heaven or hell). As such, it is imperative not to live life as if you have no connection to the past, or responsibility for the future after your body has died and deceased. It is not rigid and prescriptive like Abrahmanic religions, but based on one's individual meditative experience whether in nature, in a temple, or sitting on the pavement in a busy city street. Sanatan dharma is non-exclusivist, so intolerance as practised in western religions is not applicable. We recognise that my truth is limited by my perspective, as yours is by yours, and neither are complete. Rather we meditate to get as close to the truth and define our duties (dharma) by our understanding. And because of karma, we accept what life gives us based on past, and our current actions....if they were aligned with the greater consciousness, we will progress spiritually and the soul will be less dissatisfied. If they were not, we'll pay the price in spiritual suffering. Enjoy your walks in nature and breathe it all in deeply! Best wishes to you anbd your country from India that is Bharat.

    • @Motivation-qf5gg
      @Motivation-qf5gg Před 25 dny +4

      Totally true that you can have the beginning of a meditative experience by being immersed in nature. So while nature can take you from beta brainwave state to alpha brainwave state i think you get stuck there. As a meditator on the other hand you go from beta to alpha then to theta then delta and finally gamma brainwaves.

    • @Sunj7
      @Sunj7 Před 25 dny +1

      I agree with you. Meditation and yoga are actually ways you align yourself with the universal energy. The universal energy can have forms as expressed in hinduism or be formless. When you seek the company of nature and lose the distractions related to yourself, it is indeed a form of meditation. You realise that you are a part of something much bigger than your inner boundaries. In fact, even hinduism includes concepts where you empty your thoughts.

    religion and dharma are different things.
    First of all calling dharma a region is misnomer, dharmā and religion are two starkly different things, with totally different world view.
    Secondly, Hinduism/dharma is innately secular by it's core teachings because it doesn't says about only my way is true and other's ways are false/wrong. Dharma says all ways are true, so dharma is inclusive.
    Dharma/Hinduism has no concept of blasphemy there even if you believe there's no god you aren't damned to hell or anything, the only important thing in dharma is the concept of karma and karma has nothing to do with believing in a god or not.

Coz let’s face it if we minus that from our lives what are we left with Jesus, Krishna etc. very few ppl thru bhajans or carols can really bond with god ( those who can its good for them) & neither one of us get time or can understand holy books till a certain age especially. But most of us feel calm, peaceful thru meditation. So the anchoring ranveer is talking about he got it thru these practices not religion per se. So even I wanted to understand why atheism is so much especially among abhramic religions ( these days even among non Abrahamic religions too , coz just coz you find yoga healthy or meditation peaceful you can say that you belief in god). Religion was not about bhakti and idealisation of gods, but to think about the stories. This has changed now. Although rules r such that some part of church or sharia will be injected into daily lives but there is no desire to do so by people apart from rules or fear. A Sanatani or even a Judaism follower has that sense of attachment built in his/her genes after a long association thru understanding of that religion. I might be wrong but this what I infer.

    The Bible warns about this tendency. Maybe churches need to guide their people properly. Everything is individualistic these days. Church is community centred, sharing and caring both spiritually and in other ways. Salvation is in no other name but Jesus. Even in a changing world, He is needed. He takes away the emptiness in the soul, guards the soul from damnation and Holy Spirit is the Counselor who convicts, leads the person on the right path. Yes, discipline is essential. East German culture of communism seems to have infiltrated into West Germany which is sad. This is pushing a more prosperous part of Germany away from the true faith. God give you wisdom to discern what to do.
