When I saw the pieces separately I was like “they’re cute on their own but I’m not so sure about the combinations” but when I saw her clips I was just amazed by how good the outfits looked. In the video in which Mia thrifts a capsule wardrobe, which came out like 10 months later, her Mom is briefly talking about how much she loves the idea of a capsule wardrobes and is also wearing an outfit out of the items from this video. Not sure when that video was filmed, but since they are wearing masks and stuff there should at least be a few months inbetween the videos

Also don’t forget, when creating a capsule wardrobe it’s worth it to: 1. Get things altered. Especially when you’ll be circulating those pieces often. 2. Try jackets/sweaters etc OVER other pieces if you’ll be layering like that in order to make sure everything fits right!

Usually when doing a capsule wardrobe people will go through their clothes to decide what they need to get rid of and what they need to add, and put aside everything they are getting rid of for a bit. I think this method of just starting from 0 worked for your mom though

I donate stuff all the time, like several big trash bags full of stuff every few months... but I get most of it from thrift stores (I find a lot of cute stuff in thrift stores!) and clearance racks! 😂 I would be so upset if someone got rid of everything I have and left me with the new stuff. I’m weird about my clothes.

Sophie Rice I actually got these pants this past August in store so maybe they no longer sell them or you can only find it in the store I’m not really sure
So unfortunately because they’re trying to get rid of most of the winter stuff to make space for warmer weather clothes, that specific pattern is no longer available. They do have those exact pants in two other patterns (my favorite is the green/black but they do have a gray one). I used to work at hollister and I’m still friends with my bosses and I really wanted those pants in the green/black color so they’ve been giving me updates lol here’s the link to the other patterned pants:

Really the idea is to build up a staple wardrobe over time. To get the essentials whilst still keeping your favourite pieces which you love and will work with a one or a few of the staple items
Ask your self "Does this bring Joy?" Or not ? when you clean your wardrobe. Marie Kondo claims that it helps lol
I’d try to make a blanket out of those clothes so they still have the memories but it’s not taking up space but you’re also getting use out of it
