Me too I just finished reading and I had to find her and I’m not really excited that thesis a movie. I could not stop crying at the end of her story in the book.

I watched this movie in theaters yesterday, and it was amazing! It is such a beautiful story and they have very talented actors. I'm so thankful for this movie! I'm only 12, so this is a good reminder for me to remember to forgive! And I just figured out that Richard Wurmbrand founded Voice of the Martyrs! That's so cool! Check out the first movie to this called Tortured for Christ- which is mostly about Richard this time, not Sabina.

Our fellow Romanian brother and sister in the Lord, Fratele Richard and Sora Sabina. I’ve read her book and many of their books. My mother had met and talked to the Wurmbrand’s as Fratele Richard and Sora came back to visit in Romania and to Biserici Romane in SUA. I wish I would’ve met them as well. What a life of total surrender and dedication to Christ! Especially in those hard communist years. Those years of communism in our country, Romania. And yet the nation is still socialist as is all of Europe, just with a little looser grip, sadly it hasn’t left.
Saw this movie yesterday. Does anyone know the name of the book Richard was reading while being treated for TB. The book he snuck in Sabinas purse when she visited him. Thanks.

I just read the book called Hearts of Fire and her story was in that book I could not stop crying at the end of her story and I had to search them. I did not know Themis a movie about their life I’m going to watch it.
I hope a follow-up film is done reflecting their years under Romanian Communism (which Richard said made nazi occupation seem easy by comparison). Both are timely, important messages, but with more people pushing socialism these days, it would be good for everyone to see exactly what communism is truly capable of.

@@MyMmann Yes, Socialism is prior to Communism. Socialism is the path to full Communism (which no Socialist country has achieved). One may call himself a Communist and another may call himself a Socialist, but the mindset and goal is the same. The USSR was the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" but the party was named the Communist Party because Communism was the goal. Richard Wurmbrand and so many others were imprisoned and mercilessly tortured by those holding to this mindset.
Some label the Scandanavian countries as 'Socialist' but they are not. They are market economies that also tax the crap out of their people :) Bernie Sanders once claimed these countries were socialist and the president of...iirc, it was Denmark...pointedly corrected him on this :)
Nobody pushing for "socialist" policies do so in an effort to make a communist dictatorship. State parks and interstates exist because of "socialist" policies don't be led astray

Maybe, maybe not, but OTOH, over 100 million have perished in socialist regimes since 1917. Poverty, mass murder, deprivation, injustice, 'hey, the store will have sugar next week!', death camps, lack of freedom, political prisoners, show trials, etc... are sad hallmarks of socialism.

What is that Christian book Richard in the film is reading. Christina names it but didn’t catch it because of the thick accent. It sounded like “The Brothers Strettenborn” but Google does not recohnise that.

I just bought it on blu ray and dvd from christian book store $24.75 i wanted to have Blu ray and dvd that was the cheapest i found it online for both formats.

The movie looks so glamorous , so american like, of course has sth to do with the reality but not everything. There is lots of romance which is not true, like their meeting. I remember he used to say in his preachings that he saw her on the street sitting in his home balcony( no fancy house for sure), he liked her peace on her face, he went down appologized for his daring but told her he likes her, and invited her to meet his mother. Without many words he asked her to marry. The thing is Mihai his son, didn't aproved this movie, as he wasn't even been announced or asked about the making of this film, even if he was portrayed in it. The foundation is also dubious at this point in time, says Mihai Wumbrand- his son,in the press releases he gave in roumanian, german and maybe english ( not sure about english but I suppose as he is living in Us).
