I have a Gardner rolling table too. I enjoyed your tutorial and appreciate the time you took to share your method. Seems like a simple and effective recipe. I’ll have to try this!
I really enjoyed your video and recipe, I will use the next fishing carp, thanks for sharing, a big hug!
looks easy to do might give this ago!
I fish with bread and sweet corn a lot never thought of making a boilie out of them.
Great video
These are the best boilies ever. TRUST ME ON THAT !!! It catches Crap / Drum / Buffalo like a hot cake. I am really impressed with this bait and appricate its maker to sharing this secrete recipe with all of us.
Excellent video. I fish for Carp in the north Georgia mountains.
Great vid by the way. Just made my own. Will try them out this weekend. Thanx for sharing
I made these a while back, works great thanks for a simple video
ever tried mixing the corn puree to the egg wet mix first, it may make things easier. great simple boilie bait, thanks
hi.im from south africa and i think your demo was really informative.
2 Eggs, 2 tsp corn oil, 2 tsp sugar, 1/2 cup can corn (smashed), 1 cup corn flour & 6 slices of white bread.
Can u use vegetable oil as a substitute and corn starch instead of corn flower
@@holy_seagull vegetable oil would be fine but I'm not sure about cornstarch, I would say use a different kind of flour if you have some
cheers for the advice caught a 20 pound common
thank you for sharing great stuff.
thanks for the response mate always keen to hear from other fisherman and what they encounter in their systems " tight lines "
Awesome bait we used in our video of Carp and catfish on boilies.
Exellent movie, good job,i like it that way, keep it simple!:)
I made these tonight. But I used hemp oil and put vanilla extract in the egg mix. They smell and look great.
Thanks for the reply, I put the oil in to make it easy to roll (best rolling dough I’ve ever made) and to breakdown in the bread for a (cheap $1 pound) hint of corn flavor. I fish large lakes and the more scent the better, fish can taste scents in the water and come to you. This is good for example if your fishing from the bank, you can position yourself so the current goes into an area you can’t cast to that you believe fish are at, this will pull the fish to you once they catch the scent.
very informative vid, thanks very much Carperama you have saved me alot of ££££££
Thank you very much! :) I didn't know if I would have to put a small weight beside the hook to keep the boilie down. I will try out the Hair Rig to see if it works, if not I will use the bread and try corn as well. Thank you again!
Thanks for the nice video . I'm from Iraqi i used a sweet corn and nothing ruched the hook but I will try to make bait on your way and I hope it works . once again thank a lot
Awesome video and tutorial on how to make carp bait. Also we just subscribe to your channel. As always happy fishing and tight lines. Fish On!
Thank you from England
Great job! I thought I put effort into my carp bait! Cant beat it though.
I have made these boilies according to your formula... awsome nd great m feeling happy..nd after two days m going for carp fishing nd test these magical balls...
+Zaigham Hunter I usually chum the area a little to attract the fish and keep them in the area. I'll throw a half quart bag were my hook bait will be when I first get to my fishing spot, I also use PVA mesh on my hook bait with 4 additional boilies. I'll also chum another spot somewhere else on the lake in case I have no luck in my first spot I'll move around until I find them. Good luck.
Awesome video. Great bait I'll try it some Common Carp. how about a video on how you rig those balls???
they will work very well as a hook bait too( specimen ). Made them like you showed but added hemp oil, liquid sweetener, some soya flour. Went to my local dam, threw 6 boillies at two different spots in margins, water clear and about 50cm deep. came back after 40 min and they gone!!! Will be fishing them next week sum time!
great video
realy nice vid pal im going to make some thanks
Very good boilies
these look awesome, so much cheaper than store boilies
Tried this bait for couple weeks with no luck. So i added 3tsps of vanilla extract i also did 3 tsps of sugar and corn oil instead of 2. And it worked amazingly. I landed a 22 pound, and 12 pound carp, and also a 10 pound channel cat today. Had a monster carp hit and just ran like a city bus eventually braking my line had to be 40+. Great bait once again thanks for sharing this my new favorite boilie
Btw this was in a river not a lake. Just used as a hook bait. Didnt do any chumming
what do you mean corn oil instead of 2 do you mean you only used 1 Tbs of corn oil or you switched corn oil for the ingredients listed
1999ZackCiolino I'm not sure if you have to boil it, I do. Anyone else know if you can use it as a raw dough bait?
can you please make a video or tell me how you converted your calking gun to make boilies
If you want a very buoyant boilie or pop up only use the whites because the yolk has lots of fat which is heavy which makes the boilie sink
Yes.
Really neat method. Where do you get the empty caulking tubes with a 16 mil head like that? I can find the Ryobi gun but not an empty tube like that. Thanks!
I bought mine from bigcarptackle.com it's a Gardner Standard Sausage Gun. Had to do a little mod work on the plunger top to get it to work with the Ryobi shaft but not hard.
I bought my roller table on-line at Big Carp Tackle.
nice video man
Is corn bread much different to normal white sliced loaves we have in the UK? Any idea - love the video btw and gonna have a go if I sought the bread
Also think flaked chillis will go well - carp love the chillI
Nice mate thanks
2 part corn flour 1 part normal flour mix it dry than add 1 egg and small wather until you can form them. put the water to boil and add the balls into the the boiling water for 8-9 minutes. very cheap boilies. you can add vanilla or what I like to add before forming is shreded chicken liver that catfish love.
I mostly fish West Point Lake in Georgia, never seen a fish larger than 20lb pulled out, most fish average form 3 - 10lbs (common carp). I use them as chum and on my hair rig. I might put some other recipes on line later, to busy for now. Later.
Thank you very much for your interest.👍🏻
Wat is the measurements for a whole loaf of bread? Looks really nice but would like to do a whole loaf. thanks Greenfield carper
I used a load of Sunbeam Giant 24oz (1lb-8oz) Bread from my local store. Every loaf might weight different so it's hard to tell you how much. Your best using a scale, I gave the recipe in the video using 6 slices of bread or 6oz, so for a 24oz loaf of bread I times (x) everything by 4, so 6 slices x 4= 24 slices, 2 eggs x 4 = 8 eggs and so on. If you don't have a scale than try finding sliced bread that measures roughly 3-3/4"W x 4"L x 1/2"Thick - and use my recipe in the video times (x) everything by 4.
Nice. How does it roll, Is it sticky? What color is the finished boilie?
Flippin Brilliant! but why cook?
Looking a lot on how to hook set up so it sets off bottom inch or so. Will these set above bottom of lake bed.
What is the best way to make them hard for hair rig? I would like to use them soft boiles only for lure.
Thanks 👋👋👋
what is that table you are using? wanna learn a lot more about this.... thanks great video
this works good for me
I bought the caulking gun at Home Depot (Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ Caulk Gun). I already had a (Gardner Standard Sausage Gun) so I decided to modify the two together. The Gardner sausage tube fits the Ryobi Gun perfect. I had to modify the plunger on the Ryobi which didn't fit into the tube with the correct diameter. I took off the plunger tip from the Gardner Gun and put it on the Ryobi plunger rod, added a washer (spacer) and a different bolt to hold the plunger on the rod.
The longest that I ever kept a line in the water was for 2 hours, I had a line in 1' of water near the bank just in case a catfish was in the hole under the bank, and the boilie was still good. I would say they would last for several hours as long as no critter is peeking at it and your not in a river with swift current.
sure, you can use a rolling pin and cut in pieces with a knife. I either use one of the boilies on a hair rig or just put some moist white bread on the hook it self.
So are they just like normal boilies you get from shops?
Do boilies work on all carps? just wondering how many species of em are gonna eat these corn boilies. And what about catfish?
Now that's nice. How much do these bread rollers run?
The large Rolaball will run from $50-$60 or you buy a much smaller size that rolls the same size boilies but I think only 10 at a time for around $25, I would recommend the larger table if you plan on doing a lot.
I used regular plain white bread from the store. (Corn Bread Boilie) just refers to the use of corn and bread. I think any bread the carp like would work with this recipe, you might just have to add more eggs or flour. Corn bread in the USA is more gritty (corn mill), heavier than white bread and usually crumbles when you try to roll it in a ball and it has a lot of air pockets.
How u doing?Quick question, have u ever caught big carp off of these?Do u use these as your boilies on your hair rig or just for chum.U know any ther boilie recipes? Thanks a lot man.
Best vid on youtube :D
Hello there I was wondering what rig you use these baits with? I am participating in a tournament on Sunday. Thank you
how long do they stay on hair rig when in water
I want to get started fishing for carp and was wondering what type of hair rig and boilies I should buy to start? Thanks and great Video.
Hard question, I just use my corn boilies because its really cheep ($1.50lb) to make vs buying boilies on line ($7lb up) plus I like to make them. I also fish in lakes that people rarely ever fish for carp so the carp aren't that hard to catch. I would do some research on local carp fishing in you area and look at what the carp like to eat during different seasons and that would help with the flavor decision, here in Georgia corn and bread always work.
If no one else is really fishing for carp in your lakes keep it simple, here its harder to find them that's why I like to chum different areas so I don't have to stay in 1 spot all day with no bite.
The rig: I fish a lake bottom with no weeds so I use large PVA mesh with my boilies and sinking catfish pellets I get from the local feed store. I use a regular hair rig sometimes with a plastic corn tipped on top.
great
I fish it on a hair rig, it will stay on all day no problem unless you have crawfish or minnows. The two eggs keep it together. I use them in PVA bags and particle mix. I use a PVA friendly corn flavor liquid or dip on the hook bait and in my PVA bags only. Since the boilies don’t have an over whelming scent when they will find your hook bait faster when you use the corm flavor only on you hook bait. I might put some more of my recipes on line later; I got a lot of work going on now. Good luck.
I bought the boilie rolling table from bigcarptackle on-line which is in the USA but most all carp tackle site should sell them, just look for the best price with shipping.
u cant leave them to air dry over night right?
good vid btw
Brian Tran I don't, only about 2 hours, try a couple over night and see, I think they will crack.
Can You subsitute the corn oil for any other oils around the house?
I figured it once here in Georgia (USA) it's about $1.50 lb once you have all the ingredients, which is really cheep here. Is £12 expensive? I'm not familiar with that currency. Thanks.
Use peanut butter it makes it firm and the oil makes it stay on for areally long time and the catfish and carp love it Simon
tnx
I'm sure this works great. But when I see videos like this and expensive Carp bait in this stores I have to ask why why why? I and everyone I know who fishes carp have amazing success with just corn from a can?
I've tried corn a lot and got nothing. Only carp I've caught was on a worm 🤷♂️
@@patrickbrand1319 Patience Patrick it will happen. And the fun fight the put up makes it worth the wait..
Did you put boiles to cook when water boiling ?
The yellow ingredients are: 2 teaspoons of corn oil which I add to the eggs and in the small glass bowl is 3 oz of smashed sweet corn out of a can.
The fish oil pills will work, I usually use it in my fish boilies with salt instead of sugar but I think it would work just fine if you substitute the corn oil with fish oil. Fish can sense flavors far more intensely than human and they will favor the fish flavor over canola or vegetable oil. Catfish and carp both eat a lot of the same stuff. Insects, water fleas, fish eggs, plants, algae, small dead fish, small fry, algae, freshwater shrimps, worms, maggots and tiny crustaceans to list some.
I was only able to find the rolaball baitmaster from the UK. Did you order it from a U.S location?
Luis Zepeda Yes I bought it from a site in the U.S. I think it was Big Carp Tackle?
What do you call the black rolling table? I too might not want to roll lots of bread balls. I can't buy that black rolling bait thing if I don't know what it is called.
Look up videos on CZcams how to tie a Hair Rig, this is the method using a boilie for a hook bait. If you don't want to use a Hair Rig you can smash the center of a piece of white bread around the shaft of the hook and be sure that the tip of the hook is showing. You can use the boilies still to chum and make the smashed bread on the hook shaft look round.
What is the gaget that you used to roll the mix into balls. I've never seen anything like it. Would sure like to buy one.
This boilies it's good or not ??
Bought the caulking gun at Home Depot (Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ Caulk Gun). I had a (Gardner Standard Sausage Gun) so I modify them together. The Gardner sausage tube fit the Ryobi Gun perfect. I had to modify the plunger on the Ryobi which didn't fit into the tube with the correct diameter. I took off the plunger tip from the Gardner Gun and put it on the Ryobi plunger rod, added a washer (spacer) and a different bolt to hold the plunger on the rod. I would think any battery caulking gun would work.
If your only fishing for a day throw the chum in a 10' radius in your spot and put your hook bait in the middle of the chum (50 boilies or so) and be sure to let the bait sit, the hand smashed bread around the hook or boilie will last for hours on the hook. You might try adding a little vanilla extract in a baggie with the initial boilies you chum to add the scent to the water faster but I wouldn’t over due it. The longer the bait sits the better it gets.
No semolina to make the boilies firm?
No, just corn flour since I usually have it for cooking, firm enough for me to use over the weekend, It stays on the hair rig really good and last for hours in the water, you could easily use semolina or other type flour if that's what you have. Just need some flour to help bind the bread crumbs together since I was trying to make a boilie out of a loaf of bread and not the usual flour way (I get my bread on sale, cheap boilie, $1.50 lb).
Put the eggs complete with shells into the liquidiser. The eggshell will be ground up and provides additional minerals that benefit the fish.
And also does this boilie float?
I have some corn that's been soaking in some hot cinnamon/xxx strawberry flavoring for about a week now. Would there be too much liquid in them to use as the corn ingredient in the recipe? They will also turn the bollies blood red, would this be a disadvantage since the color red supposedly disappears within a few feet of water?
Carperama, the lake where I fish has carp and bullheads, but no channel cats. Would these work for the bullheads too or only for channel cats?
This is ideal for carp. That's what a "boilie" was originally designed for bud. Then, people realized with a little tweaking, that it made a fantastic catfish bait as well. Take for instance the "plum boilie" from dynamite baits..GREAT channel snack man.
sir i try to this formula after boiling 2,3,4 hours there was lot of cracks in piceses what a resion
+atif khan I boil mine for 2 minutes. Then let them sit and cool for 1 or 2 hours and then put them in plastic bag so they don't dry out, them them cool as well.
when we pack it in plastic bag so for how long we can use this , i mean for how many months or days we can use it.
Their not preserved so they will start to go bad, I really don't know how long they will last fresh I always use mine the week I go fishing and freeze what I have left over for chum the next time I go fishing (once frozen their not good to put on the hair rig). Keep them in the fridge and they might last a couple weeks if I had to guess or keep them in a cooler.
Can you hair rig em ?
how many lbs boilies does this recipe result in?
Hello :) Is there a possibility to freeze those boiles? If not, how long after you should consume? Sorry for my English and Thanks :)
a little more floor?
Your flavored corn (hot cinnamon/xxx strawberry) should be fine in the mix, just drain the corn to get rid of most of the liquid and save it. When kneading the dough if it seems to wet just add a little corn flour, if the dough gets to dry add a little of the drained liquid from the corn. You can dip your bait in the drained corn liquid before you cast, this will give a nice scent in the water around you bait.
In closing, I believe red can be a great bait as long as it has a nice smell and a nice taste, the fish will find it, if they want to eat it is the bigger question and only testing your waters will answer that question. I always have at least two different colors and flavors of bait to try.
did you cut off the bread crust ?
corn oil is necessary or we can use any other oil??
+Zaigham Hunter I really put the oil in to help with the dough not sticking to the plastic rolling table, you can try to make it without any oil at all, I never tried. I thought about trying walnut oil next time my self.
+Zaigham Hunter Yes, I put them in a zip lock bag in the fridge a couple of days before I go fishing and keep them in my drink cooler over the weekend when I fish, they do better when in a bag since they are basically bread, you leave bread out in the air and it tries out.
I followed the instructions how to make this and I can say a successfully made it half of them I have boiled half of them I froze in the refrigerator can you please tell me the difference between boilied and not boilied BTW thank you so much for the video very useful and helpful
You want to boil all of them for chum or hook baits. The only time I don't boil them is when I want to make a paste to form around a cork ball for a popup.
If you want to try a popup with this bait check out my other video "Carp Bait - Corn Bread Boilie #4 - Popup"
Only put them in the refrigerator for the 1st week , this will keep them fresh. After a week if you still have them freeze them so they won't mold and use them for your next trip. Once you freeze them they make great chum but don't stay on the hair rig very well.
@@Carperama thank you so much for your advice I shall kepp that in mind again thanks for the videos they are very much appreciated and helpful
Thanks for this , I do make my own and would say that I always add the dry to the wet
