Ford Ranger WildTrak Virtual Reality Crash Test Drive

This incredibly immersive VR experience was designed for use with the Oculus Go device and used during the launch of the Ford Ranger Wildtrak in 2018.
Developing an effective VR experience requires replicating reality. The viewer is immersed in a virtual environment that starts in a futuristic Ford showroom and takes the viewer out on a simulated test drive. With the Oculus Go device, we orchestrated a sequence of events with visual and spatial audio cues that dictated the driver’s actions. When his focus was back on the road, the accident happens!
Ford took these experiences across the country, creating exciting buzz with more than 350 test drives within 2 days and 90% of customers opt for the real test drive after their VR experience.
