    Great job man! Could it be possible to continue to fix a camera on the pedalbox for next driving videos please? :)

    did you reprogram the ECU as turning off sport “rev match” downgrades your power throttle response

    want to get a GT3 sometime this year, unsure whether to pick manual or auto though....

      Hey @evdge, if you want speed and are shooting for track records, go with PDK, if you’d like to enjoy the car of casual drives (which some will hate on and say you should be taking to track), get manual.
      That’s my opinion though. I loved the manual!

    I still have my first to second gear shifts a little jerky, is that normal. I have a 718 Spyder

    • @finegears
      @finegears  Před 7 měsíci +2

      The 718 spyder is a beautiful car, congratulations! My assumption is that you’re not giving it enough gas before letting out on the clutch, which is causing the jerkiness. To help rule some things out, try this and let me know how it worked so we can troubleshoot:
      Get the car moving in first gear to about 15 mph. Step on the clutch and hold the clutch in while applying the gas to get the engine speed to roughly 2200 RPMs. Let out the clutch in a smooth motion and proceed as normal.
      Let me know how this works for you and we can continue to discuss to get you driving the spyder extremely smooth

      Thank you so much for the quick reply! I’m very appreciative of your tips 🤝 I’m super smooth from second gear onwards, and I’ll try what you just mentioned for sure. Btw, I noticed a very positive difference between my old 1990’s manuals and this one. If I let her idle in first she never stalls or shuts off. That’s so helpful in stop and go traffic. In my old cars the car would shut off unless I had my foot in the clutch. Is this normal and won’t it hurt the car? I use this a lot in parking garages and slow driving as well, where I just let her roll with no gas or clutch input

      @@SC-xy7cn having the car in neutral idling should not hurt the car. You're totally fine to do this. In fact, I've had older cars as well and they didn't stall when idling so there was probably something wrong with your 90's car which caused the engine to idle too slowly or some sort of friction when the clutch was out. In any event, let me know if your shifts are getting smoother!
