- This is how I made two wheeled carts, one for my new table saw and one to act as an outfeed table or workbench. They were cheap and easy to build.

I love how a table saw is not needed for building a table saw table. Brilliant!
Awesome! This is simple, easy and cheap. Most other videos on CZcams have people making carts with hundreds of dollars in tools: miter saws, planers, complex joints, huge workbenches to lay the material on, etc...
two of those tables for infeed/outfeed would be great addition for that saw, clamped with quick release clamps
Thank you so much for this wonderful video! As a 51 year old female who’s just getting into woodworking, this is the most doable cart making video that I’ve found. I just bought a new Dewalt miter saw and have nothing to put it on. Your video and instructions are great and I love the way you show close up video so that I can see what you’re doing. Congratulations on your new saw. That one is on my wish list. Keep the videos coming. New subscriber here!
Thanks for the kind words and for subscribing. I appreciate it! Good luck with the miter saw. I don't have one but I hear that they are quite handy to have.
Well made vid, you clearly explained each step, I appreciate the detailed measurement call-outs, and the color-coded thumbnails off to the side were very helpful in visualizing the progress of the project. As a former schoolteacher I give you an A+ !! Consider me a new subscriber.
I love how simple, easy, and cheap this design is! Definitely works for my shop. Thanks for sharing!
Great video, many thanks. I have one comment though (sorry)- when you push wide pieces of sheet goods through the table saw using a push stick, keep it closer to the blade. If you push on the other side of the sheet it will tend to rotate towards the blade and if you ever do that when for whatever reason you have the riving knife removed, you will learn all about kickback! Stay safe and keep right on making good videos please.
Yes to this good lord I'm surprised that you've been lucky so far
I just finished the smaller box, cutting all 2x4's to 23-1/2 inches. Need to put on a topper and bottom and wheels, but I love your plan and how detailed the PDF cut instructions are - love it, and love your videos!
Used your video and plans last weekend to make a cart for my new tablesaw. Only had two issues: from originally watching this video until standing in Lowe’s with the parts list was about 1 weeks time. In that time I forgot you’d built two carts. I only needed to build one. I blindly bought everything on the parts list. Only realized I had twice as many 2x4s as I needed when I got home and started unloading . Second thing, I was trying to match my overall height of my cart + saw to an existing workbench. Came up about 1/4 inch short. Plan is to grab a 2 foot by 2 foot piece of 1/4 plywood today and slap it on top. So a couple goofs on my part but ended up with a solid little cart. Thanks for helping me kickoff my first project.
I'm glad it worked out in the end! Thanks for the comment.
This is EXACTLY what I need: a mobile table for a new saw without a stand. I figured I could find plans on CZcams for a simple, inexpensive but sturdy DIY table, and this fits the bill perfectly. I'll only make the small cart because it's all I need. It's so simple that even a newbie like me should be able to make it in a single day. You could use it for a drill press, tabletop router, or just about any stationary power tool.
Thank you, and keep up the good work.
Excellent use of high speed video. It shows everything and doesn’t waste time. These are strong, quick to make, and functional.
Dude this was exactly what I was looking for. Inexpensive, quick to build, nothing fancy. I know what the 10-year-old and I are doing this weekend....
Your video editing is to be commended. Succinct. Clear. And easy to follow. Well done.
I like the animated illustrations highlighting the legs & tops. Very simple and efficient design. I have bought a similar saw and will use your design. Thanks
A couple days ago I commented below on how I'd like to make one of these tables. Well, I was so impressed with what I learned from the video that I went out that day to buy the materials I needed, and this afternoon I built it all by myself (about 4 hours total). I'm a small woman and I was able to do it without hollering for my wife to come help. Its simplicity and ease of building was nothing short of amazing, it's practical usefulness more than I expected by a country mile. I made a couple of modifications: I chose not to use wheels because I intend for the table saw to be essentially stationary; instead of having it sit on a plywood base, I decided to use the plywood (actually MDF) as a shelf resting on the 2x4 bracing. It's incredibly sturdy. It's not pretty, but it's a tool! Who cares about pretty? As long as it's square and plumb, that's all that matters.
Thank you again for posting this video and offering the free plans. You are a star when it comes to designing and building simple and useful projects not needing $2,000 tools. Your projects are a novice's dream! Keep up the great work!
I built this with different dimensions to suit my table saw and workbench, but kept the basic design the same. It's great and just what I needed! I love the bloopers at the end, too! :-)
I just ordered the table saw! It was sold out for close to a month then popped up for $279 at HD. These carts will be perfect for my small garage space.
you're so lucky to get awesome table saw as a gift...thanks for your hardwork..time...knowledge to make us be a better woodworker
Wow, thanks! I appreciate the kind words.
Bought my Craftsman table saw--this was exactly what I needed ! Simple and fast ! Adjusted leg size for my larger casters.🙂
Great and simple design. The only modification I'll make is the height for my Makita is 12" between the 2 tables.
Also with 16' lengths of 2"X4", three lengths will do all the frames and legs.
Just made this table. Simply perfect. Used three screws on corners. This thing is solid. Also used a square to set the legs to ensure 90 degrees and it eliminated the wobble even before fixing the bottom plywood.
Great video! I wish the PDF link still worked. Thank you for sharing.
It just worked for me.
Love your outfeed table. Great use of a Dewalt box. Seriously love the easy build. I will use it because of lack of space in my shop. Thanks.
Everything I was looking at to make was too complex. This is perfect. Thanks!
Totally agree. Beginner-friendly. Thank you!
Nice simple project. There are far better and more complex, but in fact for what I need I think I’ll copy this one. Thank you!
Great project. I am considering a new DWE7485 compact 8 1/4 table saw with no stand because the stands prove to be pretty unstable. It will replace my old 1951 Cast Iron Craftsman. This cart is just what I need for the new saw. And I love the idea of the outfeed table/cart as well. Since I have the BoraMate castors from the base I built for the old craftsman, I will use them for this cart. I would definitely recommend them or something similar over regular locking castors. My BoraMates were spendy at $50 per set they were needed for the heavy old craftsman. And when you set them down they STAY! Great video. Subbed you! Looking forward to seeing some more of your stuff.
Excellent design. Simple and strong .
I kind of did the same thing although mine wasn't near as nice looking as yours. I also made a makeshift type of French cleat to easily connect the 2 carts together. Cut a 2x4 down the middle at a 45degree angle and attach each half onto each cart. Now simply lift one side of one cart and set it into the corresponding cleat on the other cart. Presto! Connected, although you'll still need to lock the casters.
Marcus Marrs ~That’s an awesome idea. Thanks for that tip. I’ll definitely incorporate into my table. I want it to rip lengths or widths so I can do this on the side as well as the back. Fantastic 👍🏼
Was looking for nice and simple to do. Thanks for the video. This is my next project because so far I've been having to use my table saw on the floor. Will be safer to put it at waist level with an outfeed.
An improvement could be making some latches that will secure them together to avoid the outfeed from moving away when cutting larger pieces.
I love you using your table saw on the floor, next to the new box, to make a cart for the saw. 😄
Your directions were awesome thanks for sharing
Using the box as an outfeed table is just perfect!!
Thanks for showing an easy, but perfectly adequate way to make tool stands. A lot of videos here show fully jointed stands that take hours to make, and to be honest, it's unnecessary. My bandsaw is a trade model, so weighs in heavy, but has been perfectly secure on a similar design, albeit with a bit of glue for extra strength. Rather than bolt the castors directly onto the bandsaw table's base I constructed a mdf dolly from 2 x 18mm mdf, with a removable frame on top that the table locates within. I can then borrow the dolly to (occasionally) move heavy stuff round my barn.
You made a great video. I followed your super easy instructions and made a cart for my mobile saw this after noon! It was amazingly simple.
Simple and functional. I love it. And using screws and no glue will allow it to be broken down later (when I build that super saw cart I don’t have time to build now.)
Great design! The only modification I made was to make the top about 18" wider on the right side; it gives me a place to put stuff (rip fence, safety guards, various setup tools) while I'm using the saw.
Vinney - this is exactly the type of easy, inexpensive table saw stand I was looking for. I would love to see your design and build for similar tables for a miter saw and a band saw (if you’re looking for new video ideas!).
Inexpensive, practical, and versatile, I love it. I'll definitely be basing my plans off of yours. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! -- built the short one for my daughter's Dewalt 7485 saw; expanded the top a bit to 22" x 26.5" so that I was able to feed four BOLTS up from underneath and through the cart top, into the feet of the saw.
(FYI: those hold-down bolts are METRIC M8x1.25, 45-50mm -- and nowhere do they give that info in the Dewalt instructions!)
A little glue wouldn’t hurt in the joints. Tremenous holding power and makes it less proon to having to retighten the screws once a year. Nice project otherwise.
Dolko71 I agree. I Always use glue in addition to screws. It makes it that much stronger. The wood will break before a tight bond glue joint.
I just put the small cart together for the same table saw. Very happy with it, my shop vac even fits inside :-) thanks for the inspiration Vinnie!
I think I will make one for my miter saw. This looks easy to follow. It will be my first wood project. TY
You could make several modular carts and add drawbolt latches to connect them as needed. I'm thinking about building a table saw cart like this, but I need to use it in my basement. I was thinking that some kind of modular bench would be good...designing each section to be able to fit through a standard doorway, but then they can all be latched together to make one, larger table when in use.
I really like how you did the numbers on each piece of wood AND the dimensions 👍
First video I watch and I'm now a subscriber ▶️
Thanks for the outtakes as well 🤣
This is amazing and what I was looking for. I made it following your plans but there is a minor error, on the quarter Sheets Plywood, reads 21" (51cm), should be 20" (51cm).
Overall fits perfect for my Dewalt 7485. Thank you again,
Heads up! I purchased the lumber at home depot the other day and had your plans with me. I will start the project tomorrow morning as all the lumber is cut and all that is needed is to screw it together. I love your video. It explains things really simple. Can't wait to put it together. Keep up the GREAT work, and again Thank You!!!
I made this set using your plans. I absolutely love them! I made them to match the height of my existing workbench. Thanks for posting the free plans. Great job!!
Great build!! Strong, sturdy and simple stand.... This is what I need for my"new" 13" Delta planer I just got. Thanks 👍!!
Love the video. I have made 3 of these now. modified the height and length as needed for my table saw, router table, and miter saw.
Hello Thomas after watching your video I went home and made 2 carts but I did something different and want to share
Great video! I have a Milwaukee m18 saw made the legs 16 inches and with the plywood it worked to where I can use my folding tables as the extra tables thank you soo Much
Brilliant. Just what I was thinking of doing too for my as-yet-to-be-purchased table saw. Thank you!
omg, this is exactly what I was looking for. I already have a huge workbench and I needed this kind of design to use for my DW745. I'm gonna make these asap. but i'm gonna attach the two tables together and only use 6 castors iso 8. Thanks so much for sharing this :)
Your instructions are appreciated. A novice needs all the help he can get.
Dude love it , not also that, I love the way you put the dimension . It's really easy to follow. 3 thumbs up.👍👍👍
Your facial expressions when driving in the screws is amusing! Great demonstration video!
Love the metric conversions, thank you!
Great Video mate. I love seeing diyers/youtubers starting out with barely a pot to piss in so to speak and coming out with decent usable home projects at the end of it. And trying out their own style of youtube channel along the way. We all had to start somewhere and its great seeing results with very basic tools.
Great job! I made a similar one earlier this week for my miter saw. Only problem I have is that using 2x4's really makes the cart heavy but I guess it needs to be so that it remains sturdy. Thanks for the post.
Nice work my friend! I only disagree with the casters. I think with the table saw it's best if it is really sturdy! Even locking casters always provide a little movement! But that's my opinion, you will see how it works for you in future I guess! Thanks for sharing! :)
I have the same concerns but I don't have a good, permanent spot for the table saw right now. We'll see how it works out.
In an instance like this you could always get or make some wheel chocks to add some extra stability.
That's a good idea.
@@Makify1 I used adjustable table legs from Amazon. A 4 pack was like $13. With the casters raised up a little, I'm able to adjust my table to be level, then move it back away after. I have a small garage that needs to make a home for my car still. I admit though, a drill hex bit for the drill makes adjusting legs go faster.
Great video! I have a HFT Hercules saw I need to build something for. I like the idea of two independent carts.
Great build. Simple enough for just about anyone yet fully functional. A+
I really enjoyed all of the outtakes at the end of your post! Very informative, great job!
Great video nice & simple to follow instructions nothing too technical straightforward 👍
Love this video I just bought a table saw and this is exactly what I need..thanks
I was just going to move on to the next video until I saw the bloopers at the end. Good stuff.
:)
Thanks for the video! I built on today and it works just very stout like you said.
Really cool video, I watch loads of these and this is great, however...what's the purposes of placing the base board on the bottom rather than on top so it can be useful as a shelf?
Thousands of lifetime projects with Woodglut plans.
Making this tomorrow first thing in the morning !!
Got the plans in this week. Simple but a great mobile stand
You are so productive :( .
I wish I had a friend like you man my friends are slackers. Hahaha
Im a tattoo artist and printmaker. This channel works wonders
Very simple design Just the way I LOVE IT!! Great video thank you for sharing!
I made three of these. I enclosed one and added a shelf. Then I put a hasp and a lock on for storage.
Love❤ your video.perfect, for simple DYI people like me.
love your vids. its good to see you enjoying the new shop and getting new tools for the new space.
Thanks! The new shop is definitely an upgrade.
You did a very nice job. I have the same table saw. And I love it. Keep up the good work
This is a well made video. No time wasting. Thank you.
]
Simple effective, strong and certainly pleasant to look at tables...
That bottom storage will be great for collecting saw dust
This will be perfect for my situation! Simple and inexpensive. Thanks.
I have the same table saw on MY garage floor, so I'm gonna make these too! Thank you!
This build is perfect for my small shop 👍
I completed my cart, it turned out nice!
super! Very different approach to the workbench design and it will do the job with a way smaller effort than many differrent constructions :)
Thanks! I made these and they are great. Easy to build and very handy.
Best project video I have seen yet!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your plans. Very kind.
Just ordered this table saw! Gonna build one of these carts!
Grest vid. Well shot, great audio instructions and pic inserts. Keep up the great work. Nice out takes too at the end, good to see.
This is a good video. Thanks
Awesome little table saw
Good job friend
Very simple, and repeatable if you wanted to knock out a bunch of them. I like that you don't have to notch the shelf for the legs. I can't see it getting simpler than this. I don't see the point in getting too fancy with utility carts.
Thanks for making this video. I made one similar although a lot shorter to match a 29" folding table.
Friend, you are a genius, I have subscribed to your channel, we appreciate your wonderful videos, they are very useful, thank you ...
Great idea! Thanks for the free plans.
This is just what I need,,,, I just got my first table saw, and it has no stand
Súper awesome dude, I loved this video because of the way you explained things.
Easy and nice clear presentation.
