Just got this board and I'm loving it stock. Thanks to your indepth video I'm going to have no problem doing the mod. I personally don't like your switches so I will be using the Wuque browns 🙂
just gotta start off and say you've got great production value!
i built my own LK67 a few weeks back and it turned out really great ! (typing on it right now) foam took FOREVER for me but it was really worth it.
keep up the great work; you've gained yourself a new supporter :)
Thank you! Well you’re gonna like the video coming up soon-ish. I bought an entire foam sample kit and it gonna figure out which one delivers the deepest sound using some detailed analysis. (Also it’ll be using the gamakay) Thanks for subscribing!
@@LuckyStrikeTech That'll be perfect! I felt like researching foam was one of the more tedious parts that I spent on this build so I'm excited to see a put together review of different types!
Just saw this video, I have the same exact board and same exact switches
I just recently bought a LK67 and I didn't know that the switches are North facing and all my keycaps had friction issues because of their profile. I am using Cherry MX pink (very silent) switches. So I had to but some keycaps with OEM profile to avoid the interference with the North facing mounting of the switches. Keep up the good work!
you can get cherry profile keycaps but just put a peice of paper in the stem so that the key interface does not happen. u can check if its gonna happen by pressing the key on the switch but putting a peice of paper between and if it gets stuck they keycap is gonna cause interfereance u should try it
There are switches out there that won’t have interference. Typically you’ll find videos on them.
this board is so good i might actually have to buy all the colors if it, 1 IS NOT ENOUGH
It has begun
I have one in translucent green and just got my glittery blue one in about a week and a half ago. Two is not enough.
Wait for the next couple videos. I might make you spend more money lol
Do I need to relube these ever stock or could I just live off of how it is? Thanks
this video was very helpful, thank you! I've never bought a diy keyboard before and from what I've seen I thought the keyboards came disassembled, but it seems like thats not the case with this keyboard, or is this the case with most diy keyboards and I've just got the wrong impression? I know I need caps and switches but do most diy keyboards come assembled?
Most keyboards come assembled. The more expensive group buy keyboards do not come assembled.
Hiya, great video! I just did a build in this but I’m having some trouble getting the connection mode selector switch to stay attached when reassembling. Any advice? Did you run into this issue? Cheers.
I did yes. I found a really good
Guide on it. You have to put it on the little black knob (in the correct orientation). Then put it in switch first at an angle and go down. Be very gentle as it can break it if you apply pressure. If you did it correctly it should be very smooth
WARNING WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO MOD THIS KEYBOARD: If you are planning to take the pcb out of the housing there is a switch (2,4 wireless, Wired, Bluetooth). This is a very fragile switch and if you are not careful you will break the switch and you are permanently stuck in one of the modes. Unless you know how to solder a new switch on the PCB.
How do you make sure not to break it?
What was the problem you had with the blue tape? Did you cover the PCB with that tape, or what are you doing there. (I just got this bare board and I'm getting ready to assemble it with some Kalih whites and HyperX pudding caps.)
There is RGB underglow. You have to make sure if you do the tape mod, not to cover up those bottom LEDs
@@LuckyStrikeTech Ah, so I don't know what "tape mod" is?
Look it up! Changes the sound of your board. Really it comes down to the modding at that point. If you want to know all the mods let me know
Maybe I can do a short on it or an entire video
U should try the akko starfish too. 👍
I’ve heard those are pretty nice! I’ll give it a look
how did ypu get the static color? i cant seem to find out how to do it, everything is rainbow
Go on banggood website. They have a software you can download.
Does this come with the space bar metal stabilizers?
Yes
what does it sound like without the mod??
Clacky, loud, high pitched and a little rattle on the stabilizers
does it come with its own stabs?
It does. And pretty good ones to be honest for such a cheap board.
@@LuckyStrikeTech Thanks man! I appreciate the fast reply. I've been eyeing this for a while now lol. Might get them soon
does it have soft?
Software? Yes it does. You can find it on the website for banggood
