I've used Face Transfer and find that in profile the characters face is a bit flat (much less in version 2). This can be fixed using an add-on from DAZ marketplave called Face Transfer Shapes (original for Genisis 8 and version 2 for Genesis 9).
i have fitted midjourny to face gen, it was ok. i need a profile and a massive upscale though
Very interesting. Thanks.
Amazing tutorial ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video!
Thank you!!
Solid tutorial I didn't think to use Photoshop to make headshots!
Do you have any suggestions for good normal clothes packs for Character Creator? Seems like the T-shirts and Jeans that come with it never look right
Thank you so much brother!! Have you looked at the Polygon Miniatures collection? They have both Low and high Poly marketplace.reallusion.com/character-creator/author/Polygonal%20Miniatures
@@SolomonJagwe oh nice I'll check it out thanks!
Also do you think the Face Transfer in Daz gives better results than Headshot? I've never used Daz but the results you got here I feel look better than what I usually get with Headshot.
@@JonathanWinbush out of the box, the initial result is definitely closer to the original photo in terms of the head shape in FACE Transfer2, but you get more control in in CC4, which makes combining these workflows worth trying, because, you can continue to use the CC4 controls to make the character look like the photo, and in CC4 you can send the model directly to Zbrush for more refinement using the Character Creator Face Control Tools for Zbrush: czcams.com/video/lZvnpQNZr6o/video.html
Great Tutorial, Thank you .
Glad it was helpful!
Could you make a video but now with cartoonish PIXAR-type characters?
Followed your tutorial and Wow. An amazing difference. Comparing Headshot 2 to Face Transfer 2. Headshot made the character look more cartoonish and smeared. Only thing I cant figure out is how to replace the black tshirt and shorts inside of CC. Seems its baked in. Im a total newb lol
hahah Figured it out, I didn't see the Scene section on the left. I was unchecking the clothing on the right under modify and that does nothing SMH 🫢 But then her torso disappears hahah I guess Im suppose to import her without clothing, then dress her in CC completely
Great video as usual. Question. Why not just use headshot plugin? Is the face transfer from daz better? I’d love to know the reasoning.
Thank you 🙌🏾 this way, you get the option to use the character either in Daz or CC4/iClone. If you wish to stay in Daz, you can do so, or opt to send to CC4.
daz tends to morph eyes a bit more than headshot but has cleaner textures. I hate that headshot keeps some parts of eyelashes as texture. I prefer Daz, then morph it in CC.
