Can you just build any new game into a mainstream sport if you have the will and the money?

I think the barrier to entry is too high. If you're not already great at soccer this seems way too difficult.
Seems cool tho.
Yeah exactly. It is never going to be as popular as other sports because it will basically be impossible to have competition at the k-12 level.
The people making up these teams were all top tier soccer players already, as you mention. The limited number of players isn't apparent now because it's such a small sport with so few teams. As the sport tries to expand, the extremely limited player base will become increasingly apparent.

One big long AD, lol
The thing with the most popular sports like football (F soccer, we ain't american) is that you only need a ball.. that's it. So no matter if you're rich or poor, everyone can play it immediatly. Such a sport like teqball needs that table, and so you can't just play teqball anywhere.
The succes/popularity of a sport highly depends on its accessibility
Bring back BASEketball!
Nice
Yes 100 times over
If this gets into the summer Olympics before sepak takraw, we're rioting.
Table tennis and soccer had a baby.
Fascinating, I didnt know about the Hungarian soft power implications of this sport having seen tables popping up everywhere. Will be interesting to see if it takes hold in the coming years
Great job covering different angles of this Story
i am looking for help .how can i register a new sport ?
This is yet another great sports of the future. I am an ambassador.
If TeqBall wants a Fighting chance like UFC, absolutely zero woke politics! That WILL make it just as rapid in acceptance
Great wee recreational for the middle class offspring. It's essentially an extension of the Winter Olympics looool
Any body part she said...... Except an American man's favorite body part to use........

Sepak takraw copycat

I've been watching this without trying to comment first
Cricket is the most popular sport in the world.
soccer is BY FAR bro
LOL, Cricket is by far not the most popular sport in the world. You could always judge the popularity of a sport by seeing if there is a video game of that sport which comes out every year. Theres a Cricket video game created every 5-7 years which says a lot about its popularity.
@@SpaceLikeAwarenessand there is 2 to 3 big soccer game coming every year
