    Don't let appearances be deceiving. The Geo Court III are a stylish and extremely comfortable trainer that, in my opinion, look fantastic in black (obsidian) and white with improved design in how they're put together.

    I bought a pair about a month ago and use them as my dress shoes with suits. They pair very well with them- as that's the new style these day. I also stand at a desk all day and they are phenomenally comfortable. I figured the leather "creases" from factory are part of their natural hide look. I highly recommend these shoes and I'm sure they'll last many years for office usage.

    I just bought a pair and I must say these are by far the most comfortable Vivobarefoot shoes I have ever bought. Also, they look better in reality than on pictures :) I also like the fact that you can wear them on casual ocassions but they are well suited for more formal occassions too. Overall, it was great purchase!

    Hi Harrison, ive been wearing a xero shoes for the last few months, first just for training in leg day at the gym, but now i use them too to walk with the dog and i start to feel them much better than my old adidas. I was looking to buy a barefoot shoe to be able to go with it to the university or to dinner/drink smthing with my friends. And this looks like a good option. Thanks for the review, so good in my opinion. I probably gonna give them a try

    Great video! Useful information.
    I have a question: how do they behave in wet/rainy weather?
    I'm looking for vivo pair of shoes for rainy days (to wear on the way to and at the office), so I don't need to worry, my feet will be wet. I'm deciding between this, decon fg2, ra 3.. any advice?☺️

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před rokem

      Thanks mate, glad I could help.
      Good question. I guess it depends on what you’re allowed to wear in the office. I don’t own a pair of the Decon but checking them out online I’d say these GC 3 and the RA 3 would look lower key and would tie in to a smart casual look.
      The Decon look a bit more hardcore hiking snow boots, so may not ‘look’ right in an office environment.
      But if your office is cross country to some extent then the docon could be ideal 😅
      And again, style wise, the Ra and Geo Court may go with more of your wardrobe so if you’re trying to get the most bang for your buck id go with one of those.
      If I had to commit to one, go for the Geo Court 👌🏻

    Honestly, i have the exact same issue with the insole slipping back in my left shoe too. When I switch to the thermal insole I don't have the issue.

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před rokem

      Yeah it’s a bit frustrating isn’t it. I keep the thermal insole in my magna and my trackers and they’ve never really shifted since the dang I got them. They’re the thermal insole that’s red on the bit your foot goes on.
      All the other cork and foam ones have shifted for me after a long day of walking.
      Always on once side, not both 😅🤷🏼‍♂️
      I usually don’t have an insole in for the majority of the time so it’s never a massive issue but it would be extremely frustrating if I wanted them in for longer.
      I think I’d end up gluing them in!

    Usually higher quality leather is less uniform looking. Natural scars and flaws are a benchmark for premium a less processed product. Doesn't sound right but that's the way it goes.!

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před rokem +2

      Interesting you say that. My assumption is the perspective people have is 'premium' leather is flawless / smooth / more processed.
      The Geo Court III have definitely changed my perspective on things. It's definitely jarring at first, but that's because we're so used to what 'normal' leather looks like. The same way we have a perception of what a 'normal' shape of a shoe is.

  • @gregaustin8114

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před 4 měsíci +1

      yeah I love them! Got them in black and a new pair in white. They look great and feel great!
      The Primus lite has changed a bit since I've had them so can't compare directly. It's also challenging as some people have different 'fit preferences' which is something I'm also learning. But I'd say these are similar around the heel to mid foot area but as you get to the toe box there's less length but still enough, if that makes sense.
      I'll have to do a more in depth video of how my fee t fit across the range and build some sort of standard so people know when I say snug or loose there's an actual reference point 😅

    Hello!! I’m about to start my adventure on barefoot shoes and i found vivo designs are pretty nice and probably better ones, I really liked these GC III because of their casual look, but I want to get used to barefooting and the other options I’ve seen are Primus Lite III and Primus Lite Knit, which one would u go for?

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před rokem

      Hey mate 👋🏻 it all depends on how you want to begin your transition. In my opinion the Primus lite and Knit are more of a ‘trainer’ style shoe so a bit more sporty, gym type. The Geo court on the other hand can look a bit ‘smarter’ or ‘formal’ meaning you can were them with a pair of jeans for a smart casual look.
      So it’s down to personal preference but if I was to suggest one, I’d go for the Geo court in black (obsidian) as they’ll go with more combinations of clothes you may wear. They look smart enough for jeans, but casual enough for shorts. 👌🏻

  • @rexieli
    @rexieli Před rokem

    Would you recommend these or the geo court knits for an everyday casual shoe that I could also use at the gym? Also, do the geo court knits have a leather sole?

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před rokem +2

      My opinion is the knit are a very loose fit in comparison so it depends if you need them to be a tighter fit. They also don’t have the leather sole like the GC 3 do.
      So probably go for the GC 3 if you’re looking for more of a ‘hybrid’ type of shoe.
      I’d personally go for the Geo Racer for gym stuff though.

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před 6 měsíci

      If you keep the cork insole in they’ll fair better in very cold conditions but without the insole they’re ok, a think sock would help.
      I personally take the insoles out and with these they also have a leather lining on the bottom too so they do a bit better than say a Primus lite. Ultimately it will depend on just how cold it is and how long you’d be exposed to the cold in one sitting.
      If it’s cold but not freezing and say you’re doing a lot of urban walking, shopping, sight seeing etc then the walk would certainly keep your feet warm and you may even find it a nice balance to keep them a little cooler. 😅

    Hi! Hoping for a newbie advice. Thinking of buying a pair of Geo Court III and I need more infor.
    1. How comfortable are they for a beginner?
    2. How do you take care of the bio leather?
    3. Do I need to treat it with any spray before using? How often do I reapply? And which brands do you recommend?
    4. How is the sizing? Does it get too loose over time?
    5. Do you use it for everyday walking or just an occasional thing?
    Thanks in advance!

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před 3 měsíci

      Hey, no worries I’ll try to answer best I can:
      1. IMO this is one of their best fitting shoes. For a beginner I’d recommend keeping in the insole, at least initially, as going straight to fully bare can be a shock to the system. I did this though so not impossible but be aware it can be brutal if you plan to do a lot of walking multiple days in a row. The muscles in your feet will get a real workout.
      2. You can treat the leather how you typically would. It’s pretty rugged on its own and wipes down easy with water if it gets dirty. If you want to look after it then regular polish would work or you can use a natural wax to freshen it up and keep supple. Link for a natural bees wax in my description.
      3. As above you don’t NEED to treat them as they’re a decent leather but you can use something like Liquiproof labs so they’re more resistant to dirt and other stuff. They need a very liberal application and In my opinion I’d re apply once a month but depends how much you wear them. It also gets a bit annoying keep doing it so sometimes it’s easier to clean.
      4. Sizing IMO is good. Decent width and about the right length. The leather on these can vary a little but they’re usually pretty supple already. If they do arrive a little stiffer they soften up pretty quick. I’d say they either arrive loose or get loose almost straight away so what you buy is pretty much what you get. No need to break in, in the traditional sense.
      5. I have a couple of pairs and will wear these quite a lot. They’re ideal for a full day and night in a city or other urban type of environments. If you’re looking for more ‘off road’ walk then these will work still but for someone fresh to barefoot they’ll be a challenge till your feet get used to them so a thicker sole would be preferred there.
      If you do get a pair check out links in the description for discounts etc 👌🏻👌🏻

    The Geo Court II you showed off is a phenomenal shoe - one of my favourites from Vivo. You’re right that the leather is a little stiffer but it definitely breaks in nicely. They’re super comfortable and they’re incredibly easy to clean as well.

      Completely agree mate. The Geo Court II have been a great summer shoe and like you said, very easy to clean. They look close to brand new when you give them a good scrub.
      I just had to get the III’s to see if they really were as ‘bad’ as I thought and, while I can’t speak for all pairs, the ones I had really weren’t that bad. And especially when they’re on your feet, you can’t even see the creases in there, and if you do they tend to look like natural creases from wearing them anyway.

      I’d say the 3 is better than the two. Just because the upper leather is softer and more flexible from the very first wear. They’re souped comfortable.
      They have an insole too which helps with the cold but also, while you’re transitioning it’s good as it will add a little cushion too. They were always OK for comfort, but nothing special. A pair of Merrell Life Gloves blew me away for comfort, and started a long period of many years of Merrells. But they are now losing the plot, and I'm back looking at Vivos. So I bought these Geo Court III's and a pair of Primus Trail II FG's. Like you, I couldn't believe how comfortable the GC III's are. Extraordinary, the most comfortable I've worn in years. I use them to go to work or for leisure, not really for sports. Very pleased with them though. Light, comfortable, good looking, and I hope the soles will be reasonably durable. Let's see. @harrisonmudge what do you think now, a year after posting the video?

      I still love these bud. Even bought myself a fresh pair in white!
      I often look at other brands and would like to give them a try but most of the time they rarely have my size in stock or even make them big enough at all!
      Have you tried any other brands that you liked?

      Hey@@harrisonmudge, the only other barefoots I have tried were Merrell of which I've had several models because the fit was perfect for me, and Five Fingers. They were funny and intriguing to wear as you feel so much, they really are very close to being barefoot and they are the only shoes I've ever had that drew comments in the street from strangers. But... the size I had was a little tight, so they were a bit uncomfortable to wear for long periods, and my feet weren't ready for them. By that I mean that they are so totally articulated that there's no overall support of the front of your foot like you have in more normal shoes. So for me Vivos or Merrells were a far better solution. The Spousal Unit reckons I have far too many shoes already, so there's some resistance to trying other brands. My current pair of Merrell Trail Gloves, the 7th version of this shoe and I've had every one so far, will sadly be the last I think because the sole is almost worn through after very little use.

      @ipsfryt haha this made me laugh as I can certainly relate! My collection is getting a little out of control too! Had to tuck them in a corner out the way! Yeah I keep looking at others but Ignoring the fact they rarely have my size in stock I find the styles to be a bit disappointing. Yes it’s more about function over style but I believe you need both in mind when it comes to something you’re going to wear. And that’s coming from someone who isn’t really that fashion conscious.

      @@harrisonmudge you're right, there needs to be at least a nod to reasonable style. That's what I like about the Geo Court III, they don't announce from afar that I'm a barefoot weirdo like the Five Fingers do. I actually only got into barefoot because I got shin splints from running, and converted to barefoot/forefoot style. I chose Merrells by chance because there was a pair available in a sale, and they happened to have reasonable looking shoes. Now, though, I'll also be on the lookout for other brands if Vivos aren't able to supply decent shoes for running. I need something that is able to be clamped to my ankle because the huge toe boxes of these shoes become a nightmare if you're running down a hill and your foot can move to the front of the shoe. My Primus Trail II FGs don't meet this requirement unfortunately, I'll need to look at other models. More shoes, who would have thought? :)

      @ipsfryt yeah I don’t run but can certainly see how the space can become an issue if your foot moves forward. I find some of their styles that have a sock like upper to be better at keeping your foot fixed in position in the shoe but they tent to have a thinner sole such as the Primus lite knit. Great trainer with a good balance of snugness and space. But if you’re running and need a little more sole like the trail models have then these may not have an adequate tread on them.
      😅 yep we’ll just have to keep trying more 🤭

      Honestly depends on the weather but for me I usually remove insoles most of the time. I only use then in the winter time mostly. But I really enjoy the looser feel and flexibility without the insole

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před rokem +1

      Yeah it definitely adds a little bit of cushion which you will definitely notice on asphalt, concrete pavements etc. but again, it’s all down to personal preference. A solid flat surface can be a little tiring on your feet if you’re not used to it that’s for sure so if you’re transitioning then they’ll be a good idea

      To be honest mate, no specific recommendations. I currently wear an old pair of regular flip flops I got from Thailand over 10 years ago 😅. I’ve not really looked for any ‘farefoot’ alternatives as I feel a normal flip flop will do. I know there’s some that strap to the ankle and stuff but I’ve never been that sort of person.
      I’d usually literally go barefoot if that’s the case

    These look kinda ok. The other ones I saw make you look like a clown cause of the wide toebox. The ladies version is even narrower.

      @@harrisonmudge which have the widest toe box so far? Some of us need that width in the front and tight in the middle. Feels more like a sock.

    • @harrisonmudge
      @harrisonmudge  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeah that’s a tough combo to be honest. I’d say the RA. Have a wider overall fit but that continues down to the mid foot so has a generally looser feel.
      The Primus lite knit have good length and reasonable fit in the width due to the knit sock style so would be the better option if you prefer the snugger feel. But it does depend on your fit preference.
      I’d say I’m similar in wanting the snug but loose feel. The Primus knit is ideal for that but my feet aren’t super super wide so your mileage may vary
