How to Connect Switch JOYCONS to Steam & Windows - June 2023 Update

- Quick guide on how to connect your Switch Joycon Controllers to your Windows 10 PC using Steam as the Driver. Just go to your steam settings are, find the controller tab, and then enable full Joycon Controller Support. Then pair your joycons and you should be good to go. You can also do things like fix Deadzone using Steam for all controllers, and test to see if they are working with a diagnostics panel.

Bro this helped me soooo much. I was getting stumped until I found this guide. Wanted to pair a JoyCon L + Ragnok 2 mouse, but couldn't get the JoyCon detected on the PC. Your guide finally got me the breakthrough I needed, so this is awesome!
If anyone is having the issue were once you connect the 2nd controller it starts an endless loop of Pairing/connected
Try pressing the sync button on the working joycon to turn it off, and then press any botton (On Both) joycons at the same time, for me atleast, this fixed the issue and made em both connect.

I have a problem, When I connect both of my joycons steam doesnt detect it but if i connect 1 joycon only steam detects it then when i connect my other one while its detected it says not detected

It managed to connect both joycons even though there wasn't option on steam that said "combine joycons" and when I attempted to play a game controller were acting random pushing jump button and acted like I pushed switch weapon and moved camera when I actually moved move joycon and I noticed one joycon lights were flashing nonstop when at first both joycons were in sync with only one light on.

I dont think epic has any drivers of their own. You'd have to investigate betterjoy or DS4 Windows for use on Epic Games.

the gyro icon in the steam controller settings. The settings are on the right hand side of the screen on the steam game page where you normally click "Play". the controller settings button looks like a controller

what do i do if it is not detecting in ryujinx the buttons are all mixed up and it only detects a xbox controller
add ryujinx to your steam library and run it throught steam, that worked for me.

When i connect one joycon it's working,but when i connect second i see "No Controllers Detected",i have turned on "Combine Joy-Con Pairs" and not working...

I connected my joycons but the problem is the left joystick doesnt work properly. Its not the joycon issue cuz it still works fine on the switch. Can you help me solve this?

What happens if your joycons are connected to the pc but steam cant detect them?
They are kinda fickle. To get mine to behave the first time I did a video about them, I had to pair them a couple of times. Alternatively if you have the charging grip so they charge while you play, it lets them talk to the computer.
Like let the gyro controls act as the mouse

no matter what i do i can't get the joycon R to show up, and no, i cannot buy the docking charger.
About all I can say is the joycons used on PC are not particularly reliable.
i have a problem where one would connect and when i connect the other one it would say try re connecting again like i connect left and right won’t work and i connect right and left won’t work
When testing my own joycons. It could be iffy sometimes and I was never able to nail down a way to make them work more reliably when connected wirelessly. I did have a charging grip holder from when I bought my switch, it allows me to plug them both into my computer. You could try that.

have an older Bluetooth installed that don't support joycons, somein with frequency or w/e

you need to turn on switch pro input option then the option to combine joy cons appears, a bit counterintuitive, yeah, but it is what it is
