Aaliyah was _the_ blueprint for some of y'all's faves in R&B. 20 years later she _still_ continues to make an impact.
She left way way to early she was still a baby but a solidified Legend already imagine what she would be today how her kids would’ve looked how her music would sound just imagine Herself and how she would’ve looked today and how huge her following would be and how different this planet would’ve been. She was a forward thinker which means she was a trendsetter so everyone would’ve been on a far better Path than what they are left with today which is trash no class having ratchet disgusting women who idolize devils and disgusting characteristics and gold digging and brain washed sheep’s. Aaliyah is the coolest girl who ever this planet the most beautiful to ever step foot on earth by light years no one even comes close to her in any category’s her talent was something else she was so diverse and so real so humble so pure inside and out just everything about her defined a beautiful real down to earth humble soul, also believe she would’ve been a billionaire long long time ago maybe by the late 2000s or early 2010s I could go on and on and on forever with Aaliyah but the few people that aren’t blinded by these knock off trash versions who display a bad influence for the younger generations, we know how much of a powerhouse Aaliyah would be she would’ve been what drake is times a thousand on both movies and music and modelling and she would own her own brands and company’s as she was getting started with Kidada Jones shortly before her death which was a Japanese inspired clothing brand called “Dolly Pop”. She had INFINITELY AMOUNT OF INFINITE POTENTIAL That we were robbed of which is why we could and should not ever get over her death and remember her every chance we get. REST IN ETERNAL BLISS AND HAPPINESS BABY GIRL LOVE ALWAYS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thats freakin right!!
Absolutely I feel like she created the industries dance moves today. I loved her...
@@vinny3136 You worded that so perfectly!!!!! I do believe once her third album came out and after Rock The Boat that her career would have took off to levels that we can’t even imagine especially with acting!!!! She was truely 1 of 1 and after she left this Earth the shift of energy and the bad things that happened after especially with 9/11 . I haven’t felt that kind of energy in a music artist again!!!’ Like you said Aaliyah was a very forward thinker and a trendsetter!!!! Not to have to mention her but Rihanna’s career didn’t take off till her third album and look where she is now. Aaliyah would have definitely been miles ahead especially with Films , music and fashion if she was still here. This planet would be a completely different place if she was here!!!!
@@wameezy That’s a fact it’s so obvious and I’m glad you are able to see that.
The energy in music did shift and I’ve also noticed that a lot of people gained a tremendous amount of confidence after Aaliyahs passing. People like Ashanti and Beyoncé and a bunch of others displayed an attitude that they didn’t have when Aaliyah was living not that they could compete with Aaliyah anyways but it’s like them saying ,Now that Aaliyah is out the picture let me try something new and use Aaliyahs sounds. Which a lot of artists did and they never show any type of recognition especially this new generation
He’s so right, no Ashanti, kehlani, H.E.R etc she opened doors for them.
Although I like Aaliyah music..Her is way different & does instruments as well.I think Aaliyah even admitted not wanting to apart of producing or songwriters part much
Her beauty was otherworldly
Mesmerizing
Timeless
Mind blowing
Absolutely stunning
I screamed when she said "Aaliyah... 20 years latuhh, LATER" LMAO
Lol. That was the Black coming out right quick. We serious about Aaliyah
😂😂😂 she forgot where she was for a second
Right 😂
Bill spoke nothing but FACTS! Aaliyah is absolutely legendary and once in a lifetime phenom. She was just special and she had it.
That Aaliyah album/era was whew 🔥🔥🔥🔥. He’s right! She was literally about to go to another level as a entertainer
Exquisite BEAUTY IS WHAT Aaliyah RESONATED.....*******!!!!!
Her Skills INFLUENCED ALL THE Women....Such As Ciara,Ashanti, Beyonce' & 702 & A lot OF OTHER Female Talented YOUNG Women*****!!!!!
I loved his analogy with the flower! So accurate. Aaliyah was a gem. Rest peacefully Babygirl 💖💖💖
I ❤️ this interview. I remember when Bill use to interview Aaliyah it was so fun to see them on MTV having fun 🤩 I miss those days! Aaliyah we miss you Babygirl 🙏🏽😇

Bill Bellamy first interviewed Aaliyah with R. Kelly in 1994. It's been almost 30 years, he should post that interview.

21 years later she still looks and Sounds like the future. That is true star power. Out of sight but never out of mind. There is only 11111111111111 one Aaliyah. No one can ever fuffil her SPOT. One in a million indeed.
Out of any artists existence to walk the earth Aaliyah was always #1 for me her music gave me some of the best memories and her soul was just so pure and beautiful she truly was one of a kind will never get another Aaliyah , rest in peace baby girl ❤️
Aaliyah was her own brand! She didn’t copy anyone. She had her own style. Smooth vocals, smooth-fluid dance moves, laidback-humble personality, sexy-tom boy style with a level of grace and sophistication.
Aaliyah is my all time favorite Singer ever, Got the /.\ symbol tatted on my chest, It still sometimes saddens me she’s no longer here but happy she’s not dealing with none of the bs of the world today #RiPAaliyah #Queen

I miss this woman so much. Aaliyah was humble, mature and it transcended to the masses . She was a 1 of 1 artist. I just cannot believe she’s no longer here. It’s so hard to think about knowing what her career would be like now….
MY BROTHER WOKE ME UP OUT OF MY SLEEP 😴 IN I WAS LIKE IF U WANT TO WAKE ME UP JUST WAKE ME UP BUT DONT PLAY LIKE THAT NAH HE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH 🕊🕊🕊🕊✊🏾💪🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾R .I.P. AALIYAH
Wow same! My older brother woke me up and told me the news as well. I thought I was dreaming. I got up like “no way did he just say this” I turned on the tv and saw the news and burst into tears. I actually met her right around when “OIAM” dropped, just a bunch of girls laughing at the zoo and she was so down to earth and fun. I still have the autograph she signed for me.
Rip Aaliyah one of the best
I miss Aaliyah I wish I met her I wish I have her autographs. I'm an proud fan. I love all her songs

R.I. P. Aaliyah Dana Haughton A.K.A. Baby Girl A.K.A. Princess of R&B 1/16/1979 - 8/ 25/ 2001 🙏 👼
God Bless Aaliyah's family
Sadly, Hype Williams looks like a very shady character. Why was he not investigated for
his shady actions?
JZ and Beyonce certainly have benefited after Aaliyah mysterious sudden passing along with 8 members of her crew that lost their lives too in fatal plane crash!
FyI Damon said Hype Williams recieved call from Lenny Kravitz he offered his Comercial plane to Aaliyah and her crew so they would be able to fly home in safe Comercial plane which they could take their luggage & equipment on. Why did Hyper Walker not offer this to Aaliyah? What happened? Why is he not being investigated for his shady dealings?
Thank you!!
Someone finally said it! Yes how do we get this investigated?
@@vinny3136 This is so tragic! I pray Hype Williams and all the people who were involved in this horrific crime setting up Aaliyah and her crew are brought to justice now🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏼❤💚💖
um, shut yo dumb ass up. Hype was never a shady person. Dame is a liar. Yo colonizer ass needs to stfu. You don’t know wtf you’re talking about.
Dame said FUCK him he knows what he did 😧
Shed still be making movies & music 🎶 RIP...
🙌🏾🕊🕊🕊✊🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🎧🎤🔥🔥🔥EXACTLY SHE WAS STREET BUT SWEET IN THEY SAID IT BEST .SHE WAS NOT TRYING TO COMPETE WITH BETTER SINGERS HER RANGE WAS JUST RIGHT FOR HER PERSONALITY EVERY THING WAS IN A LANE OF HER OWN AS SHE SAID HER SELF SHE WAS ONLY COMPETING WITH HER SELF
And Rihanna.
And Sevyn Streeter, she's very Aaliyah-esque too. 💯
I remember that interview he’s talking bout
I was completely devastated 😢when I heard the news, it was the first thing I heard when I woke up. I balled my eyes out 😥
Thank you for this Aaliyah will forever be timeless she was so versatile smart and a beautiful person inside and out
I was 12 at home on a Saturday night. Definitely was after 10 est. Because my mom came in and asked my sister and I if we knew who Aaliyah was? Of course that was a duh moment but her tone automatically made us sit up straight like yea.... Why? "Turn on the news" then she just walked out. Nothing was the same after that. At 32 y/o it still hurts. The more we learn that comes to light I just get madder and madder. This didn't have to be. 🕊️🕊️🕊️✝️✝️✝️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. I'm gonna step out on a limb here. 9/11 happened the next month but to the Black community. Her passing was 9/11 to us.
RIP Princess
She look like frome us in north afrika marocco
❤️
Greatest tragedy in music history
Agree..
Aaliyah is.the only celebrity that I remember where I was and what I was doing. All the other high profile celebrities I honestly Don't remember..

I Miss this beautiful young lady that I thought was my daughter from a distance, yeah my 4 daughters said I was to funny. I was in the house the tv was in another room, when I heard the news I jumped across the bed start crying, I said Nooo Not Aaliyah Rest in Heaven babygirl Love You Still😢❤️❤️
❤️
I was on a party cruise on the spirit of Philadelphia. 😔🙏
People still can't pronounce her name🤦
Ikr. Its not Uleeya.
Ima underground music artist in Germany i have tribute song about Aaliyah. The name of these song is Aaliyah ft Aatif pleas guys enjoy the song.
And your akasha cronic waking up
Aaliyah also would not want to see what going on with r Kelly right now either 😭😭😭😩😩😩🤦🤦🤦🤦
I don’t believe that she really feared him and wanted nothing to do with, him, I really feel that in Damon Dash interview he loved her and she told him her true feelings!!
@@mesheleephriam5671 please use full stops ✋ your comment doesn't appear to make sense
I found out from my little sister boyfriend at the time I didn't believe it at first
💙💙💙💙💙 💙💙 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
H.e.r is the closest thing to Aaliyah. They are both chill laid back talented singers. Can't believe it's been 20 years. I was 11 when she passed. That was a very sad day. Then a couple of days later 9/11. 2001 was crazy.
Plz 🛑 the disrespect HER is shy and shit unable to perform AALIYAH says give me th mic cause I’m bout to ROCK
It’s,, AH LI YAH
Yeah, of all the lines to quote to remember Aaliyah by, choosing one sung by R. Kelly describing a 14 year old girl as “baby” is probably as inappropriate as it gets.
HYPE WILLIAMS KILLED HER. He is the one who booked the small plane and filled it with equipments and tell Aaliyah she was done for the shoot. Him jayz and Beyoncé planned it all… they want Aaliyah out and they succeeded !!!!
Smh
Seeing Damon interview with E has sent me down a rabbit hole. I never understood why she left with hype Williams equipment anyways.
More people were involved, but her death was definitely orchestrated. It's so sad and so unfair 😢
Now it all makes sense. I never knew about Hype Beyonce was jealous of her. Jay wanted her but she choose Dammin
ITS 2021 it’s all coming out soon!
Remember your wife
7:10 That's when I'll have to disagree with him. Even though I love Aaliyah we would still have Ashanti, Ciara and many other artists. They would still came about.
Aaliyah is overrated. So is Beyonce, Mariah and Rihanna. Best singers of all time are still Whitney Houston and Céline Dion.
Lmao Whitney is more overrated then Aaliyah duh fuq you mean? Your opinion is wrong.
No Beyonsatin is overrated. Definitely. Aaliyah was a talented person beautiful humble and just down to earth 🌍. RIP to Babygirl 💞. 1979-2001.
Lol if it was up to you every singer would sound the same. When it comes to vocals Whitney is the GOAT, however there is room in music for different tones and styles of singing.
Aaliyah overrated? A lot of the younger generation don’t even know who she is (unfortunately)
Okay Boomer
