First impressions on another MMO. I had a decent time playing this but more than anything it made me want to play RuneScape. Discord you can find me in: / discord Support me on Patreon: / petesmells
There's mastery and spec in the weapon tree. Mastery allows you to use higher tier items and spells while spec lets you do more dmg with that specified weapon. You'll earn fame for bow mastery and spec for normal bow when using the normal bow. If you switch another type of bow say a warbow, you keep your mastery for bow which means you can use higher tier warbows and its skills but your spec for warbow will start at 0. Also, banking is tied to the city because transporting stuff is a big part of the game. There are different resources in different biomes and many areas that are pvp enabled hence, transporting items from one city to another is also something players can do. And these will open up for players who want to gank the transporters and players offering their service to protect them
Most abilities are unlocked at tier 4, then more at/around 80 mastery for each weapon line. To get a good feel for combat you will want a couple more item tiers, which you can purchase tomes for for around 20000 silver and instantly level to when wearing the correct gear.
Very solid video. About the local banking : it opens up the game for eco players (one of the richest people in the game has never took part in any PvP). Oh and have no worries about your skills falling out. The very first "Q" spell on your bow that you've used to kill mobs at the very start is used by top tier rangers to bust the balls of mele players while competing for late game content.
Please dive deeper. i like your take on this game. Most new people that make videos on this game have the mindset of "ive played all good mmos". Then proceed to bich around without even reaching like 10 % of the available content.
@PeteSmells Not sure if you have the list online where people can see it but I have watched a few of your videos and like the way you look at things. So thought I would mention New World to you to add to the list. I would love to hear your take on it :-) Keep up the great videos!
You got the gist of it...mostly. It's a grindy game where without premium it isn't worth unless you are a casual player. One thing you got wrong and that is that you can master multiple classes faster than making more characters because after you maxed one and can use higher tier item from that class you can farm in better spots and make more fame(that goes to combat fame) and use that extra fame to easy upgrade other classes/ you can use all maxed items but one and just farm fame for that item(and still get some combat fame from those already maxed out). Overall it's a grindy game like many mmo games, but if you invest time and/or money in it you can get everything on only one character(but not worth it). Overall you can say it's pay2win since you can buy gold with real money that converts to silver and basically you can open anything in-game with that.
no one seems to have mentioned that premium is not needed in Albion. its only have 2 points. a 50% fame buff. note its not a flat buff but 50% so its added to what ever buff the zone is giving like red zones 125% or black zones 200% the other part of premium is making money, it will give you more loot from gathering and dungeon loot, a privet island, lower sell tax and 10000 focus a day. if you are paying with money thasts great but the price right now is so high with in-game money that it's mostly not worth it. unless you are a really active player. with some time you can get good enough skills that it can mostly pay for itself but its a lot of work.
This was a great watch mate, cynicism or not I think you have very straightforward direct opinions and thoughts which are balanced and fair with little If any hint of bias views Long and short. Great work dude looking forward to seeing your other videos
You can get a weapon from 1 to 100 in about 8 to 14 hours from just grinding mobs in blackzones might not be the smartest idea for new players as its a full loot zone.
@@PeteSmells thats fair, i got it on sale for $10 US. you could also try G2A if you want 🤫 it was also compared to runescape in some gameplay aspects which i thought you might like. thoroughly enjoying these videos by the way. i myself am trying to find a MMO i like. new world and GW2 have stood out to me mainly for not forcing a sub
"The land is supposed to be unoccupied" No it's not. If you took even 3 seconds to look at the lore section on Albion's website you would know that's not true.

Will you try New World?
It is on the list but I'm afraid of the price tag for something I might only touch for a 15 minute video

As this game's biggest youtuber and someone who has played the game almost daily since launch, avoid this one at all costs.
Ignore this comment, SwoleBenji is infamous for being the biggest troll in the Albion community
1. Install Albion Online
2. Realize how slow the characters walk
