Nicollet's redesign included movable seats and tables, but think they remove them for the winter, but I also think they have been hesitant to put them out in nicer weather because of vandalism, broken windows, etc.
Yeah, hopefully they can find a way to have welcoming places for people to congregate along the mall while keeping anyone causes issues away
Used to hang out at First Avenue in my 20's. Seen and met the bands Danzig, Testament and Korn their before they got big back in he early 90's. I am 54 years oldnow and hardly recognize any of those streets any more.
Bunkers is a legendary music venue. The Combo plays there weekly. They are not a Prince cover band, they were started by members of his NPG band and play a wide variety of funk classics. ❤

I can’t seem to find any specific information on when or why they did it. It was pretty recent iirc. Most news orgs are still calling it Nicollet mall it looks like. Meet Minneapolis says “Nicollet (formally Nicollet mall)” but many others aren’t calling it that. Who knows 🤷

It’s being played out of speakers on the street. I think it’s between 7th and 8th. I’m not a fan of it
