- We took a trip down to cork to visit McCarthys Plant & Agri Sales and see their Claas 970 at Tony O'Mahony Agri, Plant & Haulage, while we were there we got a chance to speak to Der O'Mahony about the business and their impressive fleet of machinery!

Where are we going , all this rushing around , getting bigger and bigger for what ... more stress and pressure on contractors and farmers , less profit ... all for the Agri industry ... No farmer , No food , no future ....
Well in some cases you need to work fast to beat the rain
Yes I agree but the pain and heart break we go through to produce our milk , grain , meat and veg and the Agri industry keeps rising the costs of our inputs and giving less for what we produce for example a reduction in milk prices by one cent has huge impact to the farmer and that effects the contractor when they get paid ... sorry for the rant ... it’s a great video and a credit to the O’Mahony’s for services they offer ...

I’m sorry to hear that , but to be honest contractors and even machinery dealers are just been used by the Agri industry , the problem is higher then this it’s our Research and development association , the processors , the machinery manufacturers , the fert and chemical manufactures and our government , these are the ones that make up the Agri Industry , there is one thing we need everyday is food , the ones that produce that are farmers (the most important job in the world ) just give us some respect please ...

Wow, You believe that triple axle trailers in the North have a serious accessibility issue, You have looked at the Ktwo trailers, so why not look at Irelands Hi-Spec Kompactor trailers. Talk to Mr Kennedy or Ion kEANAN
All these massive tractors and plant running around like blue arsed flies and for what. I guarantee that the farmers and contractors and no better of than they were 25-30 years ago. And under so much stress. Completely pointless. I'm sure the farmer who did his own grass with a bit of help from his neighbours with a trail and a 100hp tractor was as happy then as he is now. Another perfect example of things not changing for the better. Very fee things do change for the better IMO.
Shorter weather windows large amount of customers and downtime with old machines is why contractors need the big new machines

I see no need for these new massive outfits... It looks like ..Hey the next lad has 2 triple mowers, well we will get 3 so... And ya cant be sayin its because we only have a short window and the lads need to get in and get out,onto the net job... That's a farce..

Also this massive up scaling done the small contractors who couldn't afford a big jump in Machinery off the road effectively..

The fields never got bigger but the farms did and less farms but bigger operations came around along with short windows and downtime with breakdowns is why new machines are bought and used
