    Got one in 300 WIN MAG in Sage Green and I love it, this video is a good demonstration in how easy it is to change the barrel. I am British, but wish I was an American citizen with the choice of firearms you gents are able to purchase. God bless America and I wish Donald Trump was our Prime Minister here in the UK.

    For all those watching, Rex took 3rd in his first match precision shooting match with this rifle. All position shooting, almost nothing from prone. Needless to say that is an amazing testament to Rex's skills and the capability of the AXMC.

    I am confused, the clock shows 48 seconds from allen key to barrel removal. Cool system, but longer than you stated. What is the complete time to change bolt, mag and barrel?

    • @MaxEffective
      @MaxEffective  Před 2 lety

      Yeah, not terribly scientific back in the day... 🤣
      Can always go a bit quicker off-camera.
      Not sure on the timing for the bolt, mag, and barrel swap - sold the rifle years ago.

    You can get it in more Cal like 6.5 creedmoor with adapters

    • @MaxEffective
      @MaxEffective  Před 4 lety

      You sure can! It is an awesomely versatile platform. I shot my AXMC in matches for years with a 6.5 Creedmoor kit.

    Most people do'nt hang stuff on the forend tube. So removing that forend tube will shorten the rifle WAAAY more when taking apart that barrel. Now it gets compact!

    • @MaxEffective
      @MaxEffective  Před 4 lety

      True. But where to mount the bipod? Or are you talking about just shortening the package for transit?

    Before you picked up the AXMC did you compare the bolt throw between the AXMC and the AX308? I'm just really torn between the 2. I really want to use it as my everything rifle. I think it's my biggest hold up ( besides the cash). Any advice would be a huge help! Thanks!

    • @Tw-fi3nq
      @Tw-fi3nq Před 8 lety +1

      That's awesome!!!! Seriously thank you! I really want one of these. The only way this rifle could be better is if someone could make a .223 conversion like the DTA. Enjoy

    I'm about to buy my first AI AXMC 300 Win Mag rifle, now... you are showing the 22 inch Barrel...Is that just preference or is there a Big dif. with the 24 or 26 inch barrel option that AI offers? Thanks!

    • @jcarlosgomez2030
      @jcarlosgomez2030 Před 7 lety +1

      yeah I figured that. Ordered my 300 Win Mag AI in 26 inch. I just got my Mcmillan Tac 308, in a 24 inch barrel. can't wait to take it out. Thanks for the reply. good shooting!

    Did you end up getting rid of this rifle?? I saw pictures posted of a rifle with your paint job posted for sale. Were there any issues with this system that led to you selling it?? Did you feel handicapped running this in competitions??

    • @MaxEffective
      @MaxEffective  Před 4 lety

      Yeah, we got rid of this one. We've got AI ADD of sorts... Go back and forth between AXMC, AT, AX, AXSR all the time... Keeps it fresh! :)

  • @YuanMizzle
    @YuanMizzle Před 9 lety +1

    You have me sorely tempted to get a 338 axmc with a 308 bolt and 6.5 creedmoor barrel. How's the return to zero with the barrel removal and install? Any poi shift?

    • @YuanMizzle
      @YuanMizzle Před 9 lety +1

      +High Desert Precision Got a 338 AXMC! Now up to AI to come out with the .308 mag adapter so I can get the 6.5 Creedmoor barrel going as well.
      I've always shot .308 before, but I'm wondering why you shoot 4 different calibers for your AXMC. I can understand using the 6.5 Creedmoor over the 338 Lapua due to ammo costs, recoil reduction, and even less noise when shooting suppressed. But wondering why the 300 Norma or 300 Win Mag. (Haven't tried either of those 2 calibers yet)

    • @Tw-fi3nq
      @Tw-fi3nq Před 8 lety +1

      Did you ever do the return to zero testing? Also I noticed you run the gen II razor. How is the zero between calibers? I was thinking with the way the vortex zeros it would be perfect for a multicaliber rifle system. The thought is just write down your zero for each barrel and when you change calibers just change your zero accordingly. Is that sound logic?

    • @Tw-fi3nq
      @Tw-fi3nq Před 8 lety +1

      Ok I just pickup a an AXMC .338 today. What sphur mount are you running? It comes with a SP4006. Will a gen II razor work in this mount? I'm guessing it's too low.

    • @Tw-fi3nq

      What do you think about the SP 4902?

    • @wirthfamily3023
      @wirthfamily3023 Před 8 lety +1

      Shit I'm sorry I typed the wrong model. I'm amateur status but, not that bad! I meant the 4302 with 10 MOA. So a total of 40 MOA. Is that pushing the limits of the gen II razor? Or will that work? Thanks for the help!

    22in?

  • @michaelfarley2710
    @michaelfarley2710 Před 3 lety +2

    It’s not a sniper rifle

    • @MaxEffective
      @MaxEffective  Před 3 lety

      Michael Farley - From Accuracy International, “We have become one of the foremost suppliers of high accuracy, robust and reliable sniper rifles in the world, with customers in more than 60 countries that include many of the most prestigious and influential military and law enforcement agencies on the globe.”
      For numerous years, the PSR/AXMC (now replaced by the ASR/AXSR rifles) was the flagship rifle in AI’s line of sniper rifles.
      While the particular rifle in this video is certainly not a sniper’s rifle, being that it is civilian owned and in civilian circulation, the AXMC most certainly is a sniper rifle.

    • @michaelfarley2710
      @michaelfarley2710 Před 3 lety +2

      Max Effective I understand this and meant no offence. I own an AXMC in .300 winmag. They are some of the most fantastic rifles I have ever come across (the new Desert techs are a close second imo)
      What I mean is that no rifle is in itself a ‘sniper rifle’ unless it is being wielded by a trained Sniper. By this definition any rifle CAN be a ‘Sniper’s rifle’ yet no rifle being wielded by a civilian can technically be called a ‘Sniper rifle’

    • @michaelfarley2710
      @michaelfarley2710 Před 3 lety +1

      The reason Accuracy international refer to their rifles as ‘Sniper rifles’ is because, despite being available to the public such as myself, are intended for Military use in the hands of trained Snipers, in which case they are by definition: Sniper rifles.

    • @MaxEffective
      @MaxEffective  Před 3 lety +1

      Michael Farley - Semantics... :) No offense taken brother!
      How about a “rifle designed for sniping applications?”
      I’m just over here wishing that the AI rifles would have won the US PSR/ASR contracts... But no... So I guess, to this day, the AI is definitely not a US Military Sniper Rifle. 🤣

    • @MaxEffective
      @MaxEffective  Před 3 lety +1

      Michael Farley ...beat me to it. :)
