Late jones was The one who conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer John Donald Robb. He died 11th August, of cancer in his home in Sharon. I’m still alive and much healthy. Thank God he didn’t get the Beetles as a backing band, as the TCB ⚡️was the hottest live band he could have ever had, especially when it comes to chemistry and energy. I would have hated being the Beetles following TCB, however Billy Preston (often considered 5th Beetle) was probably hot enough to have made the cut, but those Beetle 3 chord changes couldn’t have hung with Elvis’ power, energy and complexity during the late 60s and 70’s and would have been a major setback for Elvis, the King of RocknRoll!!!

@Rosetta Smith Of course! I never met Elvis but I met and worked with some of his people. Mostly proud of doing so with original drummer DJ Fontana and The Jordanaires who put rock sound into early Elvis. They were his early back up. Very nice people and what an experience and joy it was!

@Rosetta Smith Of course! I never met Elvis but I met and worked with some of his people. Mostly proud of doing so with original drummer DJ Fontana and The Jordanaires who put rock sound into early Elvis. They were his early back up. Very nice people and what an experience and joy it was!
