    Thanks for putting out all this great information to support the Kawasaki community! I never realized there was a snout on the stock 310 impeller and the not on the Solas. Definitely don’t want my threads exposed like that in a salt water environment!

      Agreed 100%. This is informative and honest content. I've ordered parts from Kawi performance in the past and will continue to do so!

      Not many people notice this until its too late, that's why the stock prop is the best. Too bad Solas hasn't joined the band wagon.

    Good stuff. Ask a Seadoo owner about replacing driveshafts. I’d stick with the OEM as well. Plus with the OEM you don’t have to worry about a blade breaking off and destroying your pump as much.

    I bought a solas 14/21 but didn’t install yet.
    So it came with the short rubber boots and a blue one which is metal and longer.
    Even with the longer blue one will have problems overtime??
    thank you

      The blue aluminum caps usually get lodged in-between the hull and drive shaft, we recommend using the rubber if anything. However, the blue alu boot is still not long enough. You need an addition 1.5 inches to clear the splines.

    I was considering ordering a Solas 14/21 for my 310 as part of my annual maintenance items purchase from Kawi performance. My ski has the KSpeed intake grate, KS1 ride plate, and ECU tune. I'm getting a slight bit of cavitation on launch and thought that the 14/21 might fix the issue. Instead I'll be checking the impeller/housing clearance when I pull the pump for rebuild and I'll order stock parts to replace if needed. Any thoughts on other things I should check or consider to resolve the issue? The ski is a 2017 with around 95 hours.

      Most likely it is a clearance issue. You can do the 14/21 but in salt water the drive shaft splines do get destroyed. Glen at impros can also reweld and repair your stock one which is the best option.

    I have a 2023 STX 160lx. I saw video about the wedge. Doesn't Kawasaki set the jet pump at optimum performance? How would the wedge improve performance?

    • @kawiperformance
      @kawiperformance  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Kawasaki does an excellent job from the factory, but everyone has different preferences. A wedge will help keep the nose up more and keep you drier. You can increase speed, but depends on the conditions.

    is the standard pitch 14/21 ?

  • @stuartpeck26
    @stuartpeck26 Před 5 měsíci

    So what would be the best prop for the STX-12F and STX-15F/160? I prefer acceleration over top speed. I want my 160 to hook and go.
    Also, what about the props for the 155mm pumps?
    Will you do a video on all this too at some point?

    • @kawiperformance
      @kawiperformance  Před 5 měsíci +1

      12f you should use a 13/19. 15F/160 the best is the 14/21. That will be the best for you. 155 varies depending on machine.

      @@kawiperformance I ran a solas repitched to 12/21 on my 2004 12F for a little while. Very interesting feel but definitely preferred the 13/19 which is why I swapped back to stock impeller for when I sold it.

    • @stuartpeck26

      @@kawiperformance but is the stock impeller on the 15F/160 the best or aftermarket solas?

    Any other options, other than oem, for 160lx?

    • @kawiperformance
      @kawiperformance  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I assume you mean the Ultra 160 LX, if so the Solas 10/16 is a direct replacement. It is really the same as stock.

      @@kawiperformance I will be more descriptive in the future. Yes, ultra 160lx. Thanks for reply, I haven’t seen other videos talking about prop options.
