EarthBound Remix. My Orchestral Remix of Eight Melodies from Earthbound Zero/MOTHER. I always loved the kind "Earth Anthem" sound the original Eight Melodies had and worked very hard to bring it out as much as i could in my version.
This is probably the most complicated song i've ever worked on using about 700 layered Instruments and huge amount of self composed parts including very complex harmonies. The remix is inspired by Vangelis, Christopher Tin and Pachelbel's Canon. It also got a few references to various soundbits from Earthbound(1994)/MOTHER2. It's taking me literally forever to finish it. It's quite a change from the original version but I really hope you will enjoy this song. Feel free to link and share!

The 3rd... Well, what does the title say? A kid trying to make his mother proud by saving his town

When I was seven years old, I got bullied in my school, shoved around and whitewashed during recess, picked on in almost all of my classes. It was every day, almost nonstop. I asked my parents one day if we kids (I grew up with four siblings) could have internet access. Eventually, they agreed, but all of us kids were only allowed forty-five minutes a day. I myself would play games, but I'd also sometimes search for music. For a seven-year-old, my tastes were odd. I listened to R&B (what was popular in 2005) usually, but I also had an interest in classical music. The composer's name in particular I cannot remember, nor can I remember the sites where I found, but the songs always took my mind off of school and the kids who were mean to me. They made my imagination run wild; I daydreamed at the amazing orchestral pieces. While I know this is not the exact music, it very much reminds me of the songs I listened to for my forty-five minutes of real world escape each day. The feelings it elicits in me are nostalgic. Thank you for this song.

Hello there.
This makes me think of almost an alternate ending to Earthbound. One where Ness uses the strength given by everyone praying and... heals Giygas. Makes him Giegue instead, gives him a second chance. I dunno, I think that would've been a great ending. I mean, what we got is fantastic, but it's fun to think about what would've happened if Ness had found a way to give Giygas another chance at a happy life.
as great as that sounds it would be anti climatic, also Giygas's backstory is pretty sad.

Hear hear, I don't comment on remixes or game music videos mostly, but this has to be the most beautiful rendition I've ever heard of the already great soundtrack from EarthBound. This is seriously amazing stuff that belongs with the original sources of inspiration.

I discovered this by sheer accident. And I am glad I did. This is flapjacking gorgeous! The added nods to Smiles and Tear and Pachabel's Canon, the choir from the lyrical Eight Melodies, what more can I say? It's beautiful!
Now that you mention it Canon is in there.
The original was based around the chord progression from Canon, this remix just improvises a little over it.
I havent even played this game, but i dont know what it is; this brought me to tears. This is something you should be extremely proud of, it's a phenomenal work of art
at the end of this magnificent remix, i imagine ninten, and ness returning to their homes after their long heroic journeys. hugging their mothers and telling them all their lovely stories they encountered, while the poor lucas return to his empty home, with little pain, but smelling the omelets his father made him to welcome him back

never actually played Earthbound, but still deep touched by the music. What I heard from the music is the re-entry of a spacecraft lights up the sky above scattered white clouds, exactly what I would read from the title “Earthbound”...
It's people who do things like this that make the internet a tolerable place.
If this was sped up it would fit on a Mario Kart track in the sky. Of course, it will always be a beautiful EarthBound song before that!

The way you mixed the melodies from MOTHER 1 and 2 seamlessly blew me away, I whistle both of the game's melodies constantly, and I've never thought of combining them that way

This song is truly, one of the most beautiful pieces I have heard. Upon the first few notes gracing me ears, I could not turn away. Despite this being only sound, I felt as if it were coming alive, and the music painting some of the most vivid scenes I have ever experienced in my mind. I love it, it has that melancholic, but also relaxing vibe. I am getting a bit sad when I hear it, but in a good way that I cannot really explain. It's awesome how music can give you a feeling that even words cannot describe.

I know this is 2 months old but did you play Mother 1 (Earthbound beginnings) or Earthbound? They have two different eight melodies.
No, I started playing it at one point and then stopped playing at Moonside. No specific reason, just I had other games I wanted to play. I finally picked it back up a few months later and then beat it.

Who in the right mind would dislike this beautiful composition, this has so much color and emotion and the music fits so well when it comes to representing what the series is about. I love it so much. I also love how they implemented some Earthbound Smiles and Tears into the mix.

Earthbound is more then just a game. Earthbound is one of the Happiest,silliest,funnest game of all time! Earthbound should be more widely known then it is. Earthbound is a beautiful game that everyone should try! Earthbound haters please just do me one favor and try to beat this game at least once and you will realize how beautiful this game is. Mother 1 taught love ,mother 2/earthbound taught love for friends and mother 3 taught love for family and friends. A game has never given me such a beautiful feeling as much as earthbound has. I'd love to see a 3D Mother game. That would be pretty sweet.This series is the absolute best.
The plot is somewhat different, happening over 10 years, with 12 chapters and 12 main characters, and it was set in about 199X to 20XX. The main characters were the main party from Mother 3 (Lucas, Claus, Flint, Boney, Duster, Kumatora, Salsa) aswell as Ness, plus 2 unknowns. I think the unknowns are Fuel and Wess, but they could be anyone. Also, the story was much darker.
