- It's been a minute since i've done something spontaneous. this was a blissful painting session that was meant to be for my eyes only, but the process video was requested, so here we go!

- 3/4" ProArtist tape
- kitchen glass cutting mat
- R-40 cicles template (Rapidesign)
- mechanical pencil 0.5mm (Muji)
- lavender Nano Dia erasable lead, 0.5mm (Uni)
- kneaded eraser
- watercolor paints: moonglow, blue apatite genuine (Daniel Smith), brown green (Sennelier), titan buff (QOR) ** i used a mix of the first 3 colors to paint the branches **

I love Moonglow, too, but was sad to learn that it’s very fugitive. I did hear of something similar and with better staying power but I CAN’T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS🙄
@@murraycallahan3716 Mixing your own. Use PR 209 (Quin coral), PG 18 (Viridian) and PB 29 (Ultramarine Blue). You can play around with the mix to make it lean however you like. If you don't have quin coral, try another quin, such as PV 19.

I've been drawing and painting for almost a year now and I wish I could show how your spontaneity has guided me and kept me going.
Planned painting never seems to work for me. I get frustrated and want to give up. Watching you turning blobs of colour without a plan into something beautiful, has helped me immensely.

I am so glad you did post this. I to have the same way of thinking and it had hinder me to do to art. I love it and it has given me this push I needed.
I struggle with the process myself; I feel as though unless there is a point to the work then it won't be good. I promise to try to let go like you have here and hopefully, I will produce something I can enjoy during and after. Thank you for the inspiration.

So happy u r back! Just as I resolved to create abstract in watercolors….. using a light hand…. U came through to motivate me once again! My w/c abstracts end up dark and foreboding…. I really striving for light airy look with strong composition. You not plan works for me! Do it again!👏👏👏👏👏

I look better on an accident than you do on a purpose!” She was right…..and I feel this way about your painting….you paint better on a whim so to speak than I do with allot of planning! Keep it up!
