      For anyone seeing this in 2024, the blinking lights will come on if you have your abs or wheelie control turned off in the current riding mode you’re in. Nothing to do with the tuner.

      Thanks for the feedback, Joe! I only show a small portion of the garage because the rest is a mess! That abba lift definitely makes things easier though. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind turning over some of the bike labor to the shop but there’s only so much my wallet can handle. I imagine there are a lot of people who’d like to wrench on their own bikes but don’t have the confidence to give a go. Hopefully one of my videos can help.

    • @skwidvids
      @skwidvids  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks man! The way it was explained to me, the Aprilia race ECU is a generic map. Better than oem but not specific to your brand of exhaust. The maps created by Gabro are done so on a dyno with different exhaust and velocity stack combos to create more specific maps. One of my favorite features is that you get the exact map as the race ecu included if you don’t want to run Gabros maps or don’t have any of the exhausts in the maps list.

    • @gabroracing
      @gabroracing Před 2 lety +8

      Race ecu is a generic map made to run race exhaust safely (read it as "drown in fuel". On the side note it enable pit-limiter feature and allows to remove road gear (lambda probes, pair/sas system, fuel vent system). It is offered free with the upmap, you can flash your ecu with a the plain race map and have it transformed in a race ecu.
      My tunes are based on it, with fueling adjusted to the specific exhaust used, and tailored to all the other performances accessories fitted to the bike. One custom map of mine is also included free in the tool purchase. Plus my maps have some other tricks for making the bike overall faster and with a better rideability. Moreover, in upmap system are present tuned stock maps as well, that can work on stock exhaust giving a moderate performance increase, available in go/std shift and with/without integrated direction indicators.

    • @skwidvids
      @skwidvids  Před 2 lety

      Good questions. It doesn’t create any warning lights or anything like that. It actually resets the lights so if one comes up, something else is going on. I know there are several map options. Some of which will remove your cruise control and make it a pit limiter instead. Best thing to do is to reach out to Aprilia Special Parts directly with those kind of questions. They’re really helpful.
