10,000+ POUNDS IN A TRUCK BED - F-550 Black Edition MAX Payload Test

- We make a lot of bold claims about our trucks. Our standard equipped F-550 Black Edition build sits right around 10,000lbs at its final weight, leaving roughly 9,500lbs of payload available (with a 19,500lb GVWR).
Recently, we released a video explaining just how much weight our trucks could actually carry ( • Talkin’ Payload. #elev... , and we received a healthy amount of skepticism across the comments about whether or not it actually could support 10,000lbs of payload. We are the only manufacturers in the world of factory-spec pickup beds for F-550s and RAM 5500s, and we design these beds and mounting components for heavy duty use.
As a World Class Truck builder, and a company that loves to push boundaries, what better of an opportunity for a practical application video?
We loaded up one of our F-550 Black Editions with an obscene amount of weight in the bed; 10,060lbs to be exact, and drove it 30+ minutes to a CAT scale to confirm payload weight and drivability.
The proof is in the pudding here. The truck performed flawlessly driving to the scale, and supporting the weight in total for over half the day.
Check out the video to witness an amount of weight being carried in a pickup truck that has never been seen on CZcams before, and likely the only point in your lifetime you will get to see something like this.
We may like to talk the talk, but our trucks walk the walk.

I would like to see what Whistlindiesel would do with this truck.
Hear ye
And that's exactly why I bought my truck - to haul around our heavy double slide camper!! For the first time we are finally under our legal payload and with the larger brakes feel very safe on the roads!! Thanks EOG!!
Yessir! Thank you Charlie!
One day I will buy a Black F-550 Black Edition with the Stars shining bright above my head!
Baddest trucks around, man!
Thank you sir!
Big time credit to the LiquidSpring suspension system. Nicely done EOG.
LiquidSpring for the win!
Great admiration from Australia (yes EC did a little work on my truck), you guys are just next level tho, totally wild and yet it just works.
Live big, dream big, oh America 🤩
Sweet! If I won the lotto, probably one of the first things I would buy is one of these badass trucks from EOG! My wife would probably make sure I paid our house first though!
Now that's a sexy dang truck
Great video 👍🏾
Thanks so much!
How do you get pickup beds to fit on your f550s
We manufacture them ourselves
Do you guys sell your beds you create for the F550?
Only with the truck builds, not individually.
I’m curious how how you come up with the gvwr numbers. Does the govt hame some type of formula.
GVWR is a factory rating, that number cannot change. The payload capacity is what can change; reducing weight on the truck will increase payload capacity while adding weight reduces it. These trucks come from factory with over 12k payload capacity, but with no bed and all stock components. Once our components are added, payload capacity is right around 10,000lbs.
Awesome video. I don’t like the long intros.
How can i afford this type of truck. Even if i got financed the payment would be like 10k a month.
It's such a waste though, to buy a truck like an F550 and put a pickup bed on it lol. I thought it was silly when they offered the F450 pickup bed version. When did the start with the F500 pickup versions? Even if I wanted to carry a camper, I'd still buy the C&C and get a flatbed or dump bed and rig up a mount system for the camper, this way it's still a capable truck for hauling stuff other than just a camper.
Ford does not make F-550 pickups. We manufacture a pickup bed for them. These trucks are built for daily driving, towing, carrying payload, off-roading; anything really. The pickup bed still allows great versatility, and completes the look as a beautiful, capable truck. We also build this with flatbeds and camper beds. Depends on what our clients choose for their use.
Y don't yall use Chevys
1. Their class 5 trucks (5500 & up) are only available with a base model, work truck interior.
2. Their front suspension design & geometry leaves much to be desired.
3. Frame / cab / suspension layout is not conducive to building a vehicle that is truly multi purpose.
4. The one piece cowling over the front end is ugly.
@@elevationoffgrid OK
A lot of squat unlike what you said in previous vids
A mild amount - this was with the lowest weight rated LiquidSpring strut since it is our shop truck, so we ended up actually over its weight limit. We have stronger LiquidSpring struts supporting 14,700lbs that should have been swapped in for this video, but the point was just to show that the truck can handle it.
death valley NIGHT LIFE BASH. 100$ daily admission or & day pass for 500$ maximum of 5 people per vehicle live events include bands of many varieities , motorcycle races , bikini shows , games and more.....
Haha! No police stopped you?! 😂
Nope! EOG Trucks rarely get pulled over😁
Now that’s the best reason for me (or anybody else) to buy one of your trucks! 😂
