I looked up London Knight Chess and found a web page saying that they meet at 1pm on Sundays at London Runners 130 Druid Stret SE1. I recognised the location in this video. I went there on Sunday 25th Feb and there was no chess being played! When you next visit London, I would recommend the cafe in the middle of Holland Park. There is a thriving chess community there during summer months

Great video Anna! Enjoying the narrated format. About the question of why it seems like you move faster in rapid vs blitz? I think is because of the ratio of time spent thinking and clock time. For example, if you spend 1 minute thinking before a move in a 10 min rapid game, that only uses 10% of your clock time. Whereas In blitz, that same 1 minute in a 3 min blitz game already takes up 1/3 of your clock time. Frank seems like a really pleasant person to be around and a good sport. 8:05 actually you could have went b4, after Ne6 , Qd3 and black can't defend the rook and the knight at the same time

So if he had noticed it, would he have been able to “capture” your king and win the game? Or do you just have to put your knight back and continue from there?

It would be the end of the game right then and there. At best, they could call an arbiter but he/she would have to declare it a win in his favor. Illegal move = instant loss.

Me too. Also when you played Rook C1, Stockfish seemed not to like it. What would've the favoured computer move? (I don't know how to access Stockfish).

Not sure about rapid, but in tournament blitz, doing an illegal move is an instant loss.

What happens if someone spectating points out the illegal move? Or when the arbiter does?
