    As SUV's continue to be the family car of choice for the world, the family sedan has undergone its own very stylish makeover. The all-new 2020 #HyundaiSonata really shook the industry last year with its sleek curves and high-tech features. While the #Mazda6 has long held the title for most un-boring family car you can buy. Today, we put the newest #Hyundai #Sonata against the latest 2020 #Mazda 6 Signature to find out which of these sleek sedans is actually the best.

    Hey guys! We decided to invite Keith back for another comparison test, since a lot of you guys enjoyed having him along in our last one with the Volvo and Subaru! This comparison really came down to whether you preferred all the latest tech features or additional power. Hyundai does have a solution coming out soon with the Sonata N-Line. Sadly, the N-Line is not out yet and we have no idea when it will be available. Let us know which one you guys would prefer between these two sedans!

      I feel like bringing in guests dilutes the over all in-depth review aspects that has made me love this channel so much . In my opinion, having another person there just go like "yeah, i don't like it either", "yeah, i love them too", & "what do you think" (instead of having them have their own time to give their own opinions). I dont know, maybe I'm one of the few or the only one that stands behind not having guests as much but rather have a one person in-depth review. Also not a fan of Sofyan walking around holding the camara, the production quality has been top-notch as of late and this seemed like a step back. Just my two cents, Im still gonna love the channels just wont enjoy reviews like these as much vs a single person review.

      The lane keep assist on the Sonata is actually a button on the left of the steering wheel next to the brightness controls and brake. There are other features you guys missed like being able to use your phone (android only) as a key as well as having a keycard. The charging USB ports are actually quick chargers if you have an android phone. A couple negative things are that the passenger seat does not move up or down, just front and back and the glove compartment does not have a light.

    Mazda without a doubt. This Hyundai falls victim to the same thing most car companies are doing now which is “doing to much” or “just to much going on” design wise. Mazda knows how to execute a beautiful car with minimalist designs that age well. Not to mention the big one #1 in reliability where does Hyundai even rank? I love the tech and the pano sunroof in the Hyundai, but the 6 is such a beautiful car that, for me, it’s hard not to choose it. The 6 is the car that gets me to turn around and take another look. The 6 is a car that will look good for a very long time. This car would look at home on the showroom floor of a luxury vehicle manufacturer.

    • @krispontious7009
      @krispontious7009 Před 4 lety +10

      Mazda isnt going to do the Pano sunroof because you cant do any repairs without breaking the sunroof and there is no warranty on the pannos. And to be honest, how often do you actually use your sunroof? Makes the car top heavy, adds about 400lbs to the top of the car, weighing it down and giving you more powerloss. I cant stop you from getting a car with a pano, but theyre really not worth it, added fuel cost for the added weight, more parts to break, and impossible to repair without adding about 4k to your repair bills to replace your pano sunroof that most people use less than 10% of the time.

    The mazda looks like it could cost 20-30k more then it actually dose, the sonnata looks polarizing at best on the outside at best and looks like a cheap toy in comparison to the mazdas interior
    Sonata fanboys: "but the sonata has available adaptive cruze control at a cheaper price!!!"
    Yes- yes it is cheaper in every way shape or form and anyone seeing it drive next to a mazda 6 or accord can see that. Anyone that's sat in even the cheaper mazda 3 will tell you the sonatas cabin feels like it was designed by Fisher Price.

    • @StanleyYelnats123guy
      @StanleyYelnats123guy Před 3 lety

      The sonata has better tech, nicer interior and is more spacious. The exterior design is a either love or hate it thing. The interior is way nicer than mazdas. Better MPG, better warranty, better tech and smart park which can come handy in tight parking spots. Mazda has more power yes and a more accepted exterior design but thats about it. As a daily driver I would go with the Sonata in terms of comfort, tech and fuel economy but the mazda is definitely more exciting to drive. So no, the sonata is not made cheaper in every way than a mazda. Especially when you compare the interiors and tech.

    The Mazda 6 is a beautiful car but if you want one you're in a very, very small minority. In the first quarter of 2020 Mazda dealers in the US sold only 4500 vehicles, down 35% compared to 2019 and ranking 18th among midsize sedans (mainstream and luxury). In fact the only mainstream sedan with lower sales was the discontinued Chrysler 200. (Three sales.) Of course COVID-19 has had a significant impact on automotive sales in 2020 but sales of the Mazda 6 in the entire 2019 calendar year were down 30% to 21,000 vehicles compared to the previous year. In short, in terms of sales the current generation of the Mazda 6 is more reasonably considered a collector vehicle than a competitive vehicle. Without a major redesign it's unlikely to survive.

    You should try playing some interesting music rather than generic garbage when you're testing out the stereos -- would make your reviews more unique. Also, Mazda actually has it right when not allowing the touch screen usage while in movement. They're encouraging safer driving practices, and that should never come off as an annoyance to anyone, particularly in a review.

    Sorry guys, I disagree. The Mazda looks old, feels like a near-luxury sedan, but one that's in need of a major redesign and the six speed automatic instigates such feelings.
    Granted, I can't stand that ugly fish-mouth grille of the Sonata, but everything else about it I truly love! Plus as you've pointed out, you've compared a higher specific performance car to the top level family sedan, which gives the Sonata an even bigger advantage; being able to please both of you with its more modern transmission, strong, confident off the line performance, open, airy interior and all for a lower price!
    Then, when I add in my personal Chicago Auto Show 2019 experience with Hyundai reps always willing to answer any questions and Team Mazda's: "I've got better things to do than to deal with the likes of you" attitude, and it shows why Mazda 6 sales are so poor among even the Hyundais and Kias of the world. I think I'd rather go South Korean (by way of the United States) in this case! Just sayin'! 🇰🇷!

    I like Mazda A LOT better. Partly because I loathe the obvious heavy layering of computer tech in modern cars. The Mazda is much more unobtrusive. Then again I absolutely HATE infotainment systems-I don’t need a damned iPad on the dash while I’m driving.

    The new Sonatas look way better in person than they do in pictures. Considering it as a replacement for our YF Sonata 2.0T Limited, even if the new one has way less power.

      **Also before anyone says anything, yes I know about the upcoming N-Line, but that's way out of my budget. Also a naturally aspirated 4cyl & traditional auto sounds like a good long-term vehicle lol.

    You guys know that feeling bigger and actually being bigger are two different things ? I just test drove both and the mazda is much bigger in the back seat even though it "feels claustrophobic "....... and mazda builds the opposite of "cozy" and based on your review the mazda is the opposite of the definition of cozy....lol
