The Flight Pod detail is amazing! They really nailed it. Though I would have preferred the seatbelt be black because the red doesn't match well to the Televiper. As for the Televiper, I'm a little more critical. Looks great overall but I really don't like the black arms. While not as bad as originally presented, it still doesn't look like a body suit but rather parts cast in the wrong color. I wish they had just cast them in skin tone or better yet, gave him proper long sleeves and gloves.
Best review of an action figure toy that I've seen in ages! The figure is really nice--love the extra heads!! The Trouble Bubble is great too! I love how the windscreen looks like an oversized Cobra Commander helmet in shape! lol Hasbro's JOE team has really gotten it together with the line! Very impressed!

They may do that so they can use the alt racial heads. there is quite likely to be "rolled up sleeves" Vipers and Tele-Vipers" in the Retro Line at some point. He's moulded with bare arms they just didn't colour them like that.

Nice review and comparison shots and framing at the end. The lineup at the 21:00 mark reminds me how I'd like M.A.S.K. figures in the 6-inch scale. The shoulder pauldron on the red clone trooper has me thinking about what it'd take to custom that fig into the hondo mcclean space-like outfit that was purple, turquoise and yellow (which was so different from just about every other figure from that line).

@@80sToyBoy I've heard it suggested that the odd layout of this one's box interior is due to the Target repaint being in open face window box but with the contents laid out much like it is here inside the box. Hasbro said there will be "at least" one Clear window box item released in late 2023 before they go back to more of that clear plastic packaging in 2024. I suspect that maybe the Python Patrol Televiper set, if it isn't then it could also be the Missile system with Techno-Viper... but that may not ship this year. I couldn't rule out that it is Mutt & Junkyard either I suppose.

That really kills our display options and now we have to get creative on how to get these up off the ground now

It might be the onboard guidance computer input for when it is operating as an arial mine, it might also be the battlenet interface computer to relay what he sees back to other vehicles or a Cobra base. I would say some wing mirrors might be useful for flying this too.
That Tele viper with Serpentor just stitch on Cobra commander and they are going after him. No wonder the poor guy can’t succeed, there are a bunch of tattletales in Cobra.

Well, well with all the information you know about the design I would swear that you actually worked on creating it yourself. If you don't work for Hasbro they should definitely look at hiring you to do their advertising.
I would guess they made for themselves more, shipped less to retail so hold more for Pulse, and also some people will wait for a sale on giftsets over $50 LIkely why Chuckles didn't sell out either yet.
Noticed you did not cover GIJoe from 2006-2018 .. IDW was still putting out content for fans .. GIJoe collectors club was still releasing figures …and JoeCon was still annual event .

Man I'd love to get my hands on at least 5, maybe 7 of these Trubble Bubbles! The fully covered tech Helmet sculpt is my favorite for the figure, definitely giving him more of a faceless drone look.

With respect, the space between the figure and the Trubble Bubble had the accessory pack, right? You could be right about the space, but it looks close to being optimized, given the size of the Bubble.

I discovered the bomb has a circle on the back that is the exact diameter as lego pieces. So with a small modification the bomb now sits in between the thrusters on my trouble bubble. If you have a gray lego piece you can't even tell you made a modification
We have the problem that it doesn't close and that is an issue in my opinion because it should close! The same problem with the python trubble bubble!!! Same side. It just closes on one side!!! Did you see this? I guess you did not realize it but one peg doesn't match. This is is my opinion the biggest Mistake. If it opens you also wanna close it right? That's the fun. How to solve it? Any Ideas? Besides that you can put the mine behind the big gut.
Is the marvel legends team embarrassed about how horrible they are handling the line and how SIMPLE it is to please the people buying the shit hence make more money. But nope they still will nickel and dime you with everything just take a look at the retro Hawkeye and cycle and we can play count the paint and deco because there’s basically none it’s just all swirly shitty plastic and comes with one figure with no limited accessories it just sucks dude. But shout out gi joe this thing is sick

I would speculate that they will do a "Retro" Televiper and a "Retro" Viper at some point with bare arms.

Good thinking there def is waisted space and since our boxes are shipped by size and weight they def coulda made this one smaller.
