Iceland Episode 11 Day 9 Svartifoss & Eldraun Lava Field || 冰岛自驾游, 斯瓦蒂瀑布, 瓦特那冰川国家公园

Day 9 of our Iceland Trip
This morning we took a short walking trail behind Hotel Skaftafell and reached the viewing point for Svínafellsjökull & Skaftafellsjökull (2 outlet glaciers of Vatnajokull). The glacier terminal faces were magnificent & we were able to admire them on a hill top overseeing both glaciers.
Next destination was Skaftafell National Park where we hiked to Svartifoss, along the way we passed by a smaller waterfall, Hundafoss. Lunch was at Glacier Goodies and the lobster soup taste really good.
We had a quick stopover at Lamagnupur Mountain before we reached Eldhraun Lava Field, the longest lava flow in the world.The lava field is huge!
The Icelandic Lava Show was enjoyable and we took back some Lava Rocks as souvenir. We had our dinner at Sudir Vik, highly recommended & the curry is surprisingly good.
Tonight we stayed at Icelandair Hotel Vik & we also managed to catch the Aurora at Vik I Myrdal church.
