- Doing a Top to Bottom following Peak to Creek at Killington Ski Resort in Vermont. Trails were Bear Trax and Great Eastern. Easy Blue and Green Trail. Good for beginners to develop endurance.
Correction: 1:44 is the South Ridge Quad. Thanks Paulie Trataros.
*4.4 miles according to Google Earth mapping. We tried asking Killington Customer service but have yet to receive a response.
Riding on GNU and Libtech boards with Flow Minx and Union Force bindings.
Shot on GoPro Hero 7 then color corrected and edited in Premiere Pro.

And thanks @minrix, my board riding muse.
That was amazing! That's the kind of skiing I prefer to do nowadays. It's more coasting and enjoying the scenery and less like, "OMG if I make a mistake in the next 3 seconds I'm going to break my hip." lol
My favorite chill run I’ve ever been on. Not a better way to end your day on the mountain. It’s better when there’s some side hits people have built up to make it a little more fun
This was sublime. I'm sitting at my office desk but for 13 minutes I was right there cruising with you!
When they opened this in the 70’s, my favorite thing to do was hold a tuck top to bottom at least once a week. I had better knees and quads back then.
Been going to Killington for 16 years and it never gets old. This trail Great Eastern along with Home Stretch with the narrow tunnels is awesome. Going all the way down to the route 4 gondola is the icing on the cake for Killington. It adds another mountain underneath an already massive mountain. It why I send most of the time there on the left side of the mountain (right side going down) pure blissfulness 💯✌😎
I agree. Not as crowded as the rest of the mountain.
Wow! What a long run! Never been to Vermont to snowboard but looks amazing. 👍
Thanks for checking out my video. Visit when you can. Its a great place!
This is one of the best runs in the northeast! Looks the same as it did in the 90's 😊. Can't wait to do this run again someday. Nice video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for appreciating! Should hit it up again! Killington is always a great mountain
That was a beautiful run! Effortless…and the run is long and not crowded. Definitely, something for me to visit next season. Thanks for sharing this video. Cheers!
What a chill journey! Thank you!
The moves of Minrix are super smooth, she's floating above the snow!
Thank you!
1:42 "Bear Mountain Quad" is actually the Southridge Quad. 10:21 on the right where I'll be staying in 2 weeks. Great cinematography. Must be using way better equipment than I have. Well done.
You're right! It is the south ridge! Oops!
Wow! Nice place to stay! Great place to spend a holiday.
Thanks for the kind words, this was all taken with a GoPro Hero 7.
Awesome. This is the exact run we've done for over 20 years. Thanks so much!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Grew up doing this run when I was a kid all the time, still love to do it !! Great job.
Thank you! It's a fun run for sure
Going to Killington next week.... I will be doing this so thank you!!!
Great! Hope you have a good trip. Snow is in the forecast!
Well done. Video really captures the vibe of that run. Looked like you guys had a beautiful day.
Thanks 👍
Nice video, thanks for sharing - hope to get back up there again this year.. All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸
Awesome video man! I did this same trail when I went to Killington last year it’s unreal it’s like never ending!
For sure! Going next week! Can't wait!
This was such an awesome vid! Loved the music and editing... Super clean and chill vibe to it. I'm heading to Killington next month and this hyped me up!! 🤙🏻
I hope you get a chance to check the trail out. Nice and chill riding
@@ampao me too! Looks like an awesome mountain and some great runs
Very nice video! Nice scenery, camera work, and editing!
Thank you!
Great Eastern was always my favourite trail when I was a kid back around 1980, of course it was the old Gondola back then but other than that the trail looks similar, thanks for the memories
☘ Irish Honey Badger - I used to skip school and hitch-hike here often.
Love the little map you added!
These videos are very therapeutic 🙏🏾. Killington is my favorite moutain in VT. I can't board this year though because I'm having knee surgery. I appreciate this video more than you know. Hope you keep making beautiful videos, and have a good season ✌🏾
We wish you a speedy recovery 🙏 hope you get to ride soon
I totally remember doing this trail by accident. A lit of flats for a snowboarder. The end felt like we were in someone’s backyard. We thought we were lost😆😆😆
Maybe you did Juggernaught back in the day? Thats a trail thats been closed now, I remember doing that trail once during my learning years and that's a skier's trail. Lots of flats like you said. Juggernaught was part of their longest trail, Killington just changed that. Now it's this peak to creek.
I think you mean Solitude. Great Eastern has slope. I went last week with my daughter on a snowboard.
Great eastern/ northern are the best. Just such chill, long, and exciting runs. Go over the whole mtn, go from view to view, plan future runs
I love Killington, that and pats peak has been my home mountain to board on. So grateful, such a beautiful place
I need a change of scenery from Pats every week. Is Killington worth a midweek trip?
@@805Peej yes it is definitely worth any trip. The view is amazing and the trails are always perfectly maintained
Damn this run goes on forever!
Great video! Thanks for sharing! 👍🏂❄️☃️🙂
Thanks for watching!
I agree with Dennis, great job making this.
Killington once had a trail named 4 mile trail. The route you took is very close to the original trail. We used the Sky Peak gondola though and the top portion was known as Getz's woods I believe.
My kind of ‘endless’ scenic run.
I love Killington and always make sure to do this run at least once whenever there. If uncrowded it can be a dream with a lot of side fun.
Oh yes. I agree 100%
Going to Killington in 2 weeks and im so stoked to rip some long runs!!
Its going to be epic! Hope you have a blast out there!
This was great!
thank you!
Wheeee! I'll have to try that trail sometime!
Whistler has a trail with the same name, but much longer at 10km. Its vertical drop is 1200m, the biggest in North America.
Ooh. I'll have to check that out. Never been to Whistler. Is it good for intermediate riders?
I've done that run 1000 times, 18 years ago. Now I'm jonesin.
Maybe its time to pay it a visit?
@@ampao Maybe next season
Insane!! 🤙
I try to get to Great Eastern and Solitude for peaceful runs. Great Eastern is much better for snowboards. Solitude, while longer, has a few flat stretches that would annoy people on boards.
haha sometimes I wish i had a ski pole for pushing off in those flat stretches
Rode Solitude on 70 degree slush the other day! Might has well been a hike :) Ski concierge told us not to even try….challenge accepted
This is our favorite run every year when we go to Killington
Definitely one of the nicest runs for me
The ski resort nearby me are all so small. I can get from top to bottom in 3 minutes lol. Wish one day I can experience such a long run top to bottom.
Same. Killington is a pretty far drive from NYC. About 5 hours. But definitely worth it
I’ve ridden that! Back in 1991! Btw, at least throw down some carves! It’s a pretty tame run, and you can absolutely charge down it at good speed, so ya gotta make some fun!
yeah! Will try next time! We were too focused on staying upright lol
Nice form of transportation.
Indeed!
Very kool
Very good video. thank you so much. Is there wide slope?
Sweet run. I just started learning. I bet I would have fallen 1,000,000 times
Good luck on your journey man! Pretty soon youll be bombing these trails
I love the map!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Was an idea we had. Will try and make more for other mountains as well!
@@ampao it's a great idea!!
Great video! Can you explain how you worked the little graphic with the mountain?
Masked a small rectangle at the bottom right of the screen with the Killington Map and timed/tweened the movement with the video. I'm sure theres a faster way, but this is the best one that I could do at the moment.
Awesome video!! Do you know if this trail is usually still open first week in April?
How did u get to the top did u use a mid mountain lift or the main base???
Is this longer than great eastern? Been there twice I remember that being the longest run I had ever taken, loved every second. Great vid!
Thank you! Its Beartrax from the top to Bear Mountain then snowshed crossover until it joins Great Eastern all the way to Skyeship
This is awesome! We are going in a month. How did you do the map overlay?
Hi! The map overlay was a combination of masking and animating in Premiere
Cool video, what video editing software do you use?
Thank you. Mainly work with premiere pro
Yeww! stoke level 1000
you ready? Do you guys have Killington tickets for this coming season?
Such a sick video I have a question . Are there any marking that indicate that u are doing the peak to creek run along the mountain ? Or do u have to just kno where ur going in order to kno ur doing peak to creek
Sadly no. No markings aside from regular trail names. Although sometimes the trail signs also point to the skyepeak lodge. But not necessarily the peak to creek trail.
1:44 is south ridge quad not Bear mountain quad.
Oops! You're right!
The road is too narrow. I will definitely fall into the valley and die.
What time of year was this??
Weekday on January 2020. Still considered pre-covid
is this video recent or is it old ??
Almost 2 years ago. Jan 2020.
Can you tell me how do you merge a dynamic map onto the video ?
Its all manually added. Created a layer for the map. Made a mask on the bottom right and moved the map around according to the main video
@@ampao I see. Thanks. It looks awesome 👏
How did you add the map?
Added manually and updated Keyframe by keyframe using premiere.
Your friend almost killed like five people on the way down
