Man the Todoroki Plotine truly was the greatest thing about this series a 10/10 subplot handled from beginning to end.
This is truly the definition of no one won.
Poor Shoto. His family is basically drifted apart. Natsuo getting married so young, Fuyumi working out if town and Enji basically retired for life. He's basically gonna have to rebuild his family on his own with only his Classmates to rely on. I only pray his siblings can one day heal so he can have a relationship with him.
I do worry Natsuo going Kotaros route of coping having a cynical and aloof attitude, but only time will tell where it goes.
Imagine a life without quirk. enji would have a regular life as top worker and he'd help children have fun and such if he hasn't the hellflame powering his veins and blood. he'd be a good dad but of course that's life in japan
Not to mention he's crippled now. Dudes covered in burns his eye is gone his hand is gone. He's going to need around the clock care. His life as a hero is basically over.
The only bright side to all this is that bc he own his Hero Agency he can still run it like normal. He just can't be in the field anymore.

With this chapter he confirms that Dabi is dying and has no time left, and it also did not end in a happy ending, the family disintegrates. It remains to be seen what happens with Spinner, toga, and hawks is the president
I pray Shoto can reoair things with his siblings. It's too late for Enji, but his siblings still have a chance with Shoto.

@@ulito4739I don’t think there’s any way for Shoto to repair his relationship with Toya, considering that Toya himself is on death’s doorstep, so there might not be much time for Shoto to do so, if there’s any time at all anymore.

Endeavor understood his fault and willing to atone for it.
The sons finally let their hate go and move on in new direction of their life.
Rei got her family moment together for first time.
That is no longer Dabi, literally Endeavor will come every day, he visits him in his remaining time, as well as his family.
The Todoroki family did not have a happy ending, I doubt they eat soba.

Hopefully in time Shoto can rebuild things with him reconnecting with Fuyumi and Natsuo.
I fear Natsuo is going down a dark path, but hopefully if there's a sequel ot spin off we can see him get out of that dark place

Yeah by this point Dabi, only after achieving his goal to ruin Enji's life, does he final open up the chance to mend bridges
@@bessieburnet9816it's not. Hate is apart of life, but holding onto that hate even after the person gave a true apology isn't healthy.
I speak from experience, my paternal family was extremely abusive, my father especially, years later, when I had already lost contact with them, they came up to me and apologized, I accepted their apology.
despite my best efforts the apology was frankly fake and they were using me over juridical efforts, however, I found comfort in knowing that I did my part when they asked me for a second chance, even if it was fake. In the end I did the right thing. And unlike my paternal side, Endeavor's apology was true.
While it's not a happy ending for the Todoroki Family. It is however I would describe a closing chapter for each family member as they now drift apart and move on with their lives. Bittersweet ending. Not everything has to be a happy ending
Todoroki Family did become dysfunctional in the all the past seasons
Y’know, while I can’t say Endeavor properly atoned, at this point, there’s not much more he can do when it comes to accepting responsibility. As long as he watches over Touya from now on, that’s gonna have to do. Happy to see Touya and Shoto finally talking somewhat normally. I’d say something like, “these aren’t the best of circumstances,” but like, with this family, I can’t say I’m surprised. It’s the hellish Todoroki family after all.
I don’t think there’s a 100% method to atone. Endeavor did EVERYTHING he possibly could. Accepting the emotions and hatred of his family with open arms; going along with Fuyumi’s wishes of trying to give her a sense of family again, Training Shoto only because SHOTO wanted it, Seeking help from fellow heroes to try and learn how to truly be worthy of the title of No.1, did a full self reflection of himself and became self aware of what brought him to that point, and promptly worked tirelessly to correct that part of himself; and now, facing the biggest karma of his life: Toya, choosing to stay by his side and joining him on his dance to hell, staying with him no matter what. I think that’s a pretty solid atonement journey
@@WnsloeWell, I agree that there isn’t one way to 100% atone, but I can’t act like he supremely dropped the ball with Touya. I’ve never considered him being the number one hero to be atoning, so let’s just say I’m a little disappointed in his actions throughout the majority of the series. Like, I’m not gonna cut him any slack for doing the bare minimum, but at the very least, it’s something, and he is genuinely remorseful.

I've done a fun research and I've come to the conclusion that 90% of those who hated Endeavor in this fandom are just victims of abuse, especially those fatherless and the dad kind of abuse.
I'll be blunt, projecting said pain and insecurities towards Endeavor isn't gonna help them solve their problems IRL.

My own situation is unfortunately like, REALLY similar to the Todoroki family for reasons I won’t talk about, but like, I’m perfectly willing to separate my own feelings on the matter, and look at this as just a story with fictional characters. I have my problems there too, but that’s a whole other can of worms.
That being said, I don’t think it’s a matter of projection for some people. It’s more like, they just have a different outlook. Endeavor is a very realistic portrayal of an abuser who feels guilt, and I personally believe that deserves to be looked through a realistic lense. There’s plenty of people who have faced abuse who do like Endeavor, and that doesn’t make their views better or more worthwhile, and it doesn’t make them worse either.
@@natsuotodoroki You're absolutely right, That said, I will never understand why people act as if hating Endeavor is a bad thing. I have never experienced abuse and I hate him, and yes, there are very good reasons to hate Endeavor, regardless if one has experienced abuse or not. If people can't see this, it's because they don't want to. Also, it's perfectly possible to acknowledge that Endeavor is undeniably a great character as well as recognizing his guilt and the efforts he's made and will make in the past, present, and future, all while still hating him. I don't see how this is a bad thing.
Enji Todoroki was the worst father of his generation in MHA, driven by jealousy, greed and pride that it took him 25 years to finally let go of his lifelong obsession but memories of his abuse and neglect will never be erase so easily as Enji destroyed Shoto's entirely childhood and also Toya who became a villain for neglected him after the birth of his youngest son.
Endeavor was the real monster under the costume, rotted himself in the obsessive goal to become the Number 1 Hero, so consumed by jealousy and greed for power that the family he created fall apart at the end, so was it worth it?...
After all, Enji was only a young teen when he lost the only parent he had in his life, so basically he was on his own with no one to guide him a better life. If his father was alive in that timeline, he would be disappointed for the man his son had become... all that hard work trying to be the best or the strongest was it really worth it?... In the end his life as the Number 1 Hero burned to ashed by his own son Toya, the Cain of Todoroki Family by the Flames of Hatred.
Did they ever say what happened to his mother?
I think this was a good ending for the Todoroki family plot, in the sense that it was in line with everything Kohei has written and gone through so far, it's a bittersweet ending, Dabi is basically living on life support and will meet his end soon but while this is slowly happening the family will stay close to him something he always wanted, Endeavor will retire for good and live like this for the rest of his life while trying to at least reunite his family even if just a little with him becoming more distant, Fuyumi and Natsuo will move on with their lives just like Rei and Shoto, the other endings were good and I especially liked Gentle and La Brava's part, they are so cute together! It's love, but I'm intrigued by this end of the chapter, even more so knowing that Koheu said the story will end in 5 chapters... or 4 in this case?
MHA finally has real consequences, Dabi won't be okay, he's dying slowly, accept it. surviving the final war was the last thing and with this it closes its cycle
So long, Dabi. You made one of the admirable villains the world has ever seen.
Deku literally lost his quirk, shigaraki fucking died and most of the cast are maimed, there are plenty of consequences

Izuku most likely to tell him Shigaraki's last words. It's possible that Ochako is there too to tell him what Toga's last moments were. If not Ochako, then Shoji will be there to tell Spinner how he plans to help other heteromorphs.

We knew that Todoroki Family will fall apart at the end someday and now we have 4 chapters left until the series ends and now we’re going to Spinner and this is a idea that could happen on epilogue chapters will be focus the most
1. Deku’s talk with Spinner along with Shoji
2. Uraraka’s closure between Toga and will she confess her feelings to Deku unless he gets a new haircut to fix up his half shaved hair at the end
3. Find out who’s this mysterious person crying (could possibly be Deku’s dad and hoping Deku’s family finally reunited at the end)
4. Aoyama’s farewell party
5. Deku and Class A finally graduated UA as timeskip could actually happen at the final chapter and Eri plans to sing on UA graduation since chapter 420

2. Overhaul needs to apologize to Eri
Man, i know that Endeavor's children have every right to not speak to him or anything but i felt bad seeing Natsuno say he wants no contact with him but i understand. I think that Endeavor's character was handled beautifully.
Feel bad? Don't feel bad. He deserves all kids going no contact but unfortunately Fuyumi is a privileged selfish suck up. Natsuo is the only smart one understanding that a guilty conscience doesn't erase all years of abuse and trauma.

@@bessieburnet9816 I feel bad because I do like Endeavor as a character and seeing his growth has been amazing for his redemption. All things considered, I think this is a great way to end his arc. I see it as all the children processing their emotions in different ways and that none of them are more right than the other. They are able to decide what they want to do for their future which they did

I bet the person who opened the door to the room where Spinner is is Deku (remember that Shigaraki has to tell him that the villain fought to destroy until the end) or the mysterious character we saw in Chapter 425.

Wow. Just wow. This chapter was peak, and an incredible conclusion to the Tododroki family plot line, in my opinion. lol I also enjoyed the Hawks and Nagant interaction; they looked like siblings in my opinion, and I’m also glad Hawks became the new president of the Public Safety Commission because if anyone knows what needs to be done to change the commission, it’s Hawk, and at the end of the chapter with Spinner, most likely the person walking in on him is Deku, and he’ll tell him Shigaraki's last message, which I can’t wait to see.
Agreed I can’t wait for that too but what if Shoji is here with Deku cause he did has his final fight with Spinner
Between Dabi died for real and have to live on some sort of life-support machine forever, which one is better?
P.S: That was a rhetorical question. We all know which one is the better option for him in this scenario.

This is anime/manga, you can survive anything for plot. Well, that's atleast the real explination. It's actually revealed Toya all along had Rei's ice quirk, as there is no way he'd even be alive at all during the war without it. It's also canon that quirks have increased the human durability of their bodies to actually make sure they can handle their quirks. This is why OFA is damaging deku in the start (also due to largely too massive power), his body isn't used to it, while someone else like Bakugou who's litterally creating explosions from his palms

Horokoshi only keeps reminding me of how damn good his plotlines have been since day one with every new chapter, the Todoroki family is a rollercoaster coaster of tears and well written character development. I love it.
Bro the todoroki plot line is horikoshi magnum opus he handle this plot line beautifully toya 10/10 villain better then shiggy and all for one

He forgot a lot of shit, the mangas been a mess forever because he keeps witching directions, lacks framework, and then doesn’t have the spine to commit to his sociopolitically nuanced ideas so he drops them and plays 52 card pick up to see which might vaguely be talked about- meanwhile in the background he gaslights the reader into thinking Enji has done anything but feel sorry for himself while everyone else comments on how cool he is for deciding to not be an abusive piece of shit after 24 years and condemning his son to an iron lung because he lacked the spine to face him when he needed it.

Your summary of how he’s written Enji is off, at no point does the story tell you to forgive Endeavour.
How is he gaslighting the reader into believing Endeavour has done so much? It’s very clear Shoto is the hero.
It’s like AOT, just because some people loved what Eren did, doesn’t mean that’s what the author was trying to do, the fact that some people hate Endeavour, and some forgive him is the nuance of a well written character. Everyone is going to take their own personal beliefs and attach it to him, but that story is one of the better written parts of MHA.
YEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!Gentle is free baby! Gentle and La brava can now get married! I hope that happens, I’m just so happy for the two of them, they are ultimately my faves, I do feel bad for the Todoroki family that they have to go their separate ways from here, Endeavor and Dabi having their talk in the chamber room and Shoto question his older brother what’s his favorite food really moved me, the emotion and somber impactful moment within Dabi and the family felt very real and organic to me, and it sucks that Nagant decides to stay in prison, but the old saying goes”if you do the crime, you do the time!” But you know what Nagant did her thing man, she did what had to do, so I understand her choice.
Shouto is such a inspirational character for me, always looking forward and being the kind of person he wants to be.
Well, am I glad at the end of it Horikoshi still allowed Natsuo to keep to his desire to never have anything to do with his sperm donor every again. With the way he was portraying Hawks and Fuyumi's simpering kissups, I really was expecting him to make Natsuo cave and forgive his abuser because he's faaaamily and he feels sooo baaaad like that makes up for the trauma Rei and Shoto will have forever, as well as the fact that Toya will never have a happy life back. Good on him. Hope he has a happy life away from his abuser.
I remember watching season 2 when it first came around and thought "Endeavor is one of the worst fathers of all time" and many years later he finally got the consequences, while I do feel happy it still feels tragic due to how I grew up with this series since 2017

It was so sad I LOVE IT especially how freaking Endevor is alive, crippled, NOT FORGIVEN and suffering for the rest of his miserable life. It was everything I wanted for this horrible (well written but horrible in universe ) character, him dying as a martyr for the world would be too easy . Endevor was truly a bad guy in his family live, so I am happy he will have to pay for all the suffering and abused he did. Thanks for the video

Damn, the barber done pushed my boy Natsuo’s hairline all the way back 😭
Not a happy ending. Just closure for the whole family. The children (except Toya) can move on with their lives without being chained to their parents choices. Also Natsuo cutting ties with Enji is my favorite because it breaks from the anime trope of always forgiving your abusive parent. It wasn’t done out of malice. Just wanting to move on with their life and removing the baggage that keeps you weighed down in life. It’s a very mature thing to see in a shonen.
Also Enji got the perfect ending. I would’ve accepted death, but this is more satisfying

Chapter 425 must’ve been taken down but I watched the video It was about them reuniting at school and how they’re class 2A now which sounds weird. Aoyama says he’s leaving UA but is not going to stop being a hero. Shinzo shows up and says he’s now a part of class 2A (1A) and ochaco says she hopes deku’s hair grows back! Then the last scene is endeavor watching Dabi on screen dying. Also some random shows up in an alley.
I admit, the thing with Natsuo and Enji reminds me of the Bojack Horseman finale, with Bojack having one last talk with Diane before they part for good.
Natsuo has acknowledged that his father has paid his dues and is going to have to live with the shame of his own actions for the rest of his life. However, everything that has happened, from the family abuse, having to fight his own brother that he thought was dead (and is about to lose him again) and the stigma of being associated with the two is clearly too much for him so he decides to end things with Enji so he can move forward and find some peace.
At the very least, they do part on somewhat good terms, with Natsuo calling Enji his father and saying he can admire him for taking responsibility.

MHA has so many chapters but as for episodes is shorter in each arcs
im glad that touya made it this far. tbh he was the main reason why i watched this anime. he has such a great char design too
I have a feeling, the ending will be left ambiguous in some way, and My Hero will be back after a few years when he's ready to tell a brand new story. Introducing a new character with only 3 chapters left...Also is stain alive?

Same man, that’s I all I care about too, you people have no idea how happy I am seeing them together, Gentle and La brava are my number one power couple and favorite characters in the MHA series/franchise, honestly when i heard that Lady Nagant decided to remain in prison, I was scared for a moment for Gentle wanting the same thing cause I want him and La brava to be together, an I’m so glad that him being permanently in jail wasn’t the case, Now Gentle and Labrava can live happily ever after, as much as I want them getting married rafter the war was over im kinda happy with this, but I still want them to, I hope that happens at the end of the series, maybe it’ll happen before Deku and Ochaco get married once they graduate, this chapter out all my worries to rest, Horikoshi has my respect man!

It’s bitter sweet but I think that’s what it’s suppose to be. Toya doesn’t have that long to live it could be days or probably even or month or two before he passes on.
But until then at least the rest of his family will be able to talk with him for his final days and at the end he apologizes to Shoto for everything he done and how he can’t even share a meal with his younger brother.
As for Natsuo it’s not shocking for some people it’s hard to forgive someone after years of mistreatment but for Enji that’s fine even if he retired he still going to atone and go on the path of being a better man.
I think Rei might stay with Enji and Fyumi and Shoto are going to continue to visit them and hey in a far future unlike Natsuo they might even introduce their future kids to their grandparents.
As for Shoto he going to be fine as long as he got his friends because he finally figured out what type of hero he going to be.
As for spinner I have a feeling Izuku going to talk to him and rely the message Shigaraki told him to give to Spinner. With that said it was a nice solid chapter

Now that endeavor isn’t a hero anymore less than half of the top 10 is out of commission we only have Best Jeanist, Kamui Woods, WASH, and Ryukyu. hawks is the leader of the safety commission but still what will happen next

I wonder how the public react hearing Endeavor decided to retired as a hero? first All might retired and now Endeavor. pretty sure it'll be a mixed reaction some say Enji stepped down out of guilt for creating Dabi in the first place and some say Endeavor deserved it for creating Dabi in the first place regardless of what the civilians react when Dabi expose his father's dark past

At the end of the chapter, a door opens to Spinner’s room. I personally think it could be Shoji who is telling Spinner of Shigaraki’s death. It would be a great closing to the Heteromorph Discrimination Sub-Plot.

Sadly Toya had to pay the ultimate price. But it's good bcs as alive he won't forgive his family neither tje victims that he killed.
This is the best. He can die peacefully knowing his family did care for him.

Oddly enough the only time Horikoshi ever got a ship right was in Rave Master. Haru and ellie got together. They got married and had a kid. Now a days he either skips to the fucking childbirth or leaves us hanging.

He did not make an initiative for change himself, not once, and he couldn’t even give Touya the dignity of facing him when it counted, because he’s a coward.
He’s been stagnant in that he’s a little bitch focused on his own guilty emotions who runs away from his problems since day one, and that’s exactly where he ended up. Him saying he wants to ‘listen’ ain’t worth shit now, especially not since Touya is dying and had to basically hunt his bitch ass down to get his attention during the final battle.

I don’t like this ending for Toya. If I was him and I went through everything he did only for “dad” to sit in my face and tell me he wants to hear me now! My final fuck you would be silence and suicide infront of him😂
In an alternate universe it could've very much been the case. However it is very much implied that this is truly what Toya always wanted, for his father to see him, to notice him. Even then, it's way too late and obviously everyone there knows how much too late that is. That's the whole point of Endeavor's story. He literally only figured out just how fucked up he was because of the complete chance of All-Might ending his career, basically snuffing out Endeavor's toxic goal on a whim, leaving him only with the consequences of his actions. Endavor will never be fully redeemed, and forgiven, and will need to live with it in his crippled body up until his death. And he knows this, and actively chooses go with it bc he knows that's what he deserves. He doesn't look for forgiveness, he chooses to atone.
As for Toya, it's literally the same as Endavor. He got what he wanted. He got noticed, now just by his father, but his whole family actively came to be with him, to do nothing but talk to him, because they truly care about him. Shoto's question was the trigger for Toya to realize the consequences of *his* actions just like Endavor did. Nothing much he can do about it but cry. But at least on his dying moments, his one biggest struggle in life, will be all but gone, with his father at his side.
