Honestly, it would've been fine for him to have a little, but I can understand why they didn't: I think it's mostly because they don't want people to see them allow children to consume alcohol, because they could get in trouble for that.

I also felt bad at how quickly those girls wrote him off, like the kid had a good point about all of them and he was a judge for a reason and they just ignored him.
I love Eugene but he definitely should've been disqualified for that reason alone
I think Jamie should have just eaten it. If it weren’t being filmed and posted to the internet for millions to see, he probably would have eaten it. He wouldn’t have gotten drunk at all. The alcohol just adds to the taste.

But technically it’s still illegal, so I understand why they didn’t let him taste it. At that point it just comes down to technicalities.
