- In this video we harvested our eggplant and some Red Lasoda potatoes for the first time this year. We also harvested our Betterboy tomatoes, climbing Rattlesnake green beans, cucumbers, swiss chard, and some Mammoth jalapeno peppers!

Nice harvests! How great to eat almost entirely from your own garden! There is something exciting about digging up new potatoes, like searching for buried treasure!

I'm just a little north of y'all here in Tupelo. This was my first year to grow anything myself. I wished I had as much luck with my potatoes as you did, but then again your soil looked a lot better than mine. Cucumbers and beans are doing fairly well. Didn't try eggplant, chard, peppers, or tomatoes. Love your videos.

We haven't grown them for several years ourselves because of how much space they take up and how little we sometimes get. This year is a pleasant surprise!! Glad to hear your cucumbers and beans are doing well! I could almost live off green beans, lol!! I love the peppers and tomatoes too. I love to freeze enough peppers to have them to use throughout the winter!! Thanks again!! -Lea
I pulled a potato plant from a bed I didn’t want it in... it had so many little baby potatoes on it I replanted it. I like to experiment too. Well it’s blooming so I’ll find out soon.

I love the Chinese variety eggplant better because I always get more fruit. Your chard looks beautiful. Do you prune your cucumbers? My garden is not as far along as yours but I was going to try pruning this year to see if I get more cucs.
This Chinese variety does seem more prolific than the Black Beauties we usually grow. We're enjoying them!! We have never tried pruning our cucumber plants. We only have six on the fence where they are growing now. We planted them a little farther apart than usual. I'd be interested to hear how your pruning experiment goes this year!! Thanks!! -Lea
