- BHIMPALASI by Kaushiki, accompanied by Subhajyoti Guha on tabla and Kedar Naphade on harmonium, private concert recorded by Avinash Patwardhan, 11/08/2014 This recording though of an amateur nature captures the inherent beauty of a raag that is exposed in the most beautiful traditional style of Indian Classical Music. One cannot make this happen every time. It only happens when the artist is at peace and fully engaged with her art and audience. It is a rare occurrence. The music came from her heart with no preconditions. She sang for four hours without any hesitation. Ragas that she sang that afternoon were Bhimpalasi, Thumri in Mishra Maand; Kalavati; Marathi BHAJAN, Bengalii Poem that she dedicated to her father, and Bhairavi Bhajan. I have up loaded all these. Here we have Kaushiki at her unadulterated best the day before this she sang with equal abandon A fabulous performance in Jog; A superb Bageshri, Thumri in Mishra Pahadi, A bandish in Pilu this too for close to 4 hours.
Wow... wow... wow...! What an amazing performance it is! Kaushiki deserves to get the Padma Vibhushan award. She has an extraordinary talent in the ragha aalaabana and the niravals of the swarap prastharam. I have never heard such a wonderful recital in my life. Our nation is proud of you. God bless you my dear child Kaushiki.

Incredible singing raaga Bhimpalasl by Kausiki Chakraborty. This is indeed soulful. The audience in the live concert must have had a surreal experience when I had similar experience listening to her recital with my Bluetooth enabled Sony audio ...You are a gem!A precious treasure of our country and pride of all classical music lovers. Love you mountain loads and ocean full. May Goddess Saraswati dwell in you incessant and reinforce your creative persona..the singing being.
This is my favourite raga. And this time which she performed,I think,is her best performance. I will remember this heavenly beautiful and also something else which I can't express in my heart till my death.
I congratulate her and all concerned for this gift from God through kaushiki my daughter.

Inexpressibly beautiful
This performance stays in the temple of my memory as one of Kaushikidi's best performances to date. It shows not only the vocal dexterity that she is known for, but, it also shows her joy of singing, being on stage, and being a servant of music. That is a powerful performance. That is a powerful offering. So much inspiration and love flows through this performance. She sang for two days during this trip at the same venue and each offering was sublime. If any of you have not already, I strongly urge you to listen to the rest of these performances. Didi sang the Bengali Prayer "Ami Sure Sure," as well as a Bhairavi. The previous day, she sang Bageshri, Jog, Kalawati, and Pilu (forgive me if I am forgetting any). All of them are here on CZcams.

I never heard Raa g Bhimpalasi so beautifully improvised to cover all the aspects of this raag making so perfect and sweet. I don't remember that I have ever had listened to any other artists sofar who has given rendition of such a microfined & soulful voice. I have been left with no choice but to listen to all the voices what Kaushiki will be spreading throughout the time to come. I feel blessed by the Godess.

This is a very good Bhimpalashi. Koushikiji here is always in fine temperament. The Raga has been sung keeping intact of it's mood and depth intact. The stage atmosphere is found somewhat informal but representation is all along pure and indeed high quality. The Tabla, Harmonium and audio all are very good. Thanks to Guhaji and Kedarji for their fine assistance.
