What a beautiful love story. He was an iconic islander playing his guitar for years! It was such a happy time when our friends gathered at my bf sisters tiki bar! I had so much fun back then. RIP legend Jimmy Buffet 🎸

No, you're absolutely right,and I was going to mention the same. The old video footage used here, from 1973, was a video featuring "Come Monday," and that was his future wife Jane in it.

A couple of my best friends are lost now and they deserve to be honored why

he touched my life, not in a spiritual way and I was never a parrot head but he was about a life style that included life on the water, sunshine, the beach, the islands and key west and oh yeah...drinking.
It's sad the way that aspect of his 'message' was so heavily promoted, 'Margaritaville' is all about getting drunk, as is 'Five O'Clock somewhere' .
He's not the only one, Alan Jackson, Luke Combs & Toby Keith to name a few.
Are these guys really heroes?
Sadly, his life would have been prolonged had he been conscientious about using more SPF/Zinc Oxide.
Not highly reported but true, ironic his cause of death was skin cancer
Oh wow, so sad & tragic to hear how ironic it was in the way he lost his life.
He spent almost his whole life time in helping environmental causes & issues, the oceans, deep coral reefs, islands etc..yet the one thing he forgot to protect himself against harsh coastal weather of the relentless tropical sun, wind etc..as he's not the natural born islanders or natives wch they hv natural immunity.
It's a very silly mistake in not being cautious & taking preventive measures of caution to the tropical humid scorching sun, weather, wind & it's surrounding hot humid environment.
Also Repukes..He was a Democrat…swallow that one.
I guess the difference between dem or rep, is that us republicans will still mourn for him.
