Heard it live because my choir was performing before them and the entrance free and holy shit that was the best thing ive heard a choir perform ever without a shadow of a doubt. I still come back to this video every once in a while to get an instant inspiration to do something.
Woooow, amazing! I can't stop listening it again and again! I love South African choirs! I'm a chorist and I live in a west African country Sénégal and I need these partitions! The firs song Mandi Sondele Knosi Yam and the second one Sang bo naani! Please
Cant believe this was 6years ago... i was also in one of the South-African Choirs that was in Riga at that time for the competition. Proudly South-Africa
Oh, WOW, the understanding of what they sang and danced permeated every motion, every song. This is as close one can get to being the real experience! Thank you for the exuberance and honor to the people of Africa!✨❤️✨
I would like to know where these students are today What did they do after school/college? I watched over 20 of these videos in one day. Amazing at the talent!!. It was very educational and. enlightening to see students from the early education institutions, to universities. We tend to over look the outstanding educational systems in other countries. These choirs and students are just above average, they are exceptional!! From USA,as a former educator, I applaud these directors/conductors of the choirs!!!!
I'm truly impressed by how well the white guys do with the gun boot dancing but its astounding how much more effortless it is for the black guys to look totally cool doing the steps. I had to do gym boot dancing when I was doing my drama degree at the University of Cape Town & all the white guys in my class always looked ridiculous. It was like watching ballet dancers trying to do hip hop. They got the steps but not the feeling. So these guys did really well in my opinion.
Can someone please provide me with the words for this song and the English translation? I always play it in my car on my way to work. I'd love to know the words so that I can sing along.
Michael Barrett thanks and congrats to you and your singers, Michael!! I hope that the admins of the World Choir Games will include the name of the choir in the title of each video and composers in the 'about' box, otherwise the vids won't show up in searches.
Michael Barrett Hi Michael, I enjoyed listening to your group!!! Will there be a forthcoming arrangement of "Manginsondele"? I would love for my choir to be able to sing this!!
I wrote my first novel while binge listening to these amazing voices😊
