I flew YYC to YYZ on the AC 737MAX, it was one of the most painful flights I have ever taken. The seat pitch is incredibly tight. The A220 is much nicer though, the seat width, aisles, and pitch were all noticeably roomier.

@@WillAviation A220 is absolutely the superior aircraft. Personal favourite, unfortunately AC doesn't fly them to where I tend to go lol
in the old days -70's and 80's, air canada used to operate an hourly shuttle between YOW, YYZ AND YUL, using the McDonnell Douglas DC9. it was called RAPIDAIR. they even served a hot complementary meal regardless passenger class. So why did you not fly direct YUL to YYZ?
They still call it Rapidair, but no more hot meals. And I flew via Ottawa because I was trying to rack up extra segments towards status

Great video. I would like to know if they were strict on the 23kg allowance or they allowed 2-3kg extra.
It really depends on the agent who checks you in! Sometimes they let it slide, sometimes they don’t. Best to have a couple items in your checked bag that you can move to your carry-on bag at the check-in desk if they say your bag is too heavy

I think it was actually a 787-8! I don’t think Air Canada operates any 777s to Ottawa these days

Yes! Extra legroom seats in rows 12 through 20
