Yes; make sure that when you do wear makeup, it’s for you, and not just to fit in. When you wear it do so because you genuinely want to, not because society/peer pressure makes you feel like you have to.
As a parent, of course it’s hard watching your child grow up. From sweet little children to teenagers who start to talk back. I know how it feels like even though I’m just a little kid but I hope everyone looks and is in another person’s shoe. Remember, there are lots of different perspectives and u never know how a person feels unless u actually step in their shoe. Have a nice day ❤

I love the message about being yourself. I noticed on the wall that there are people on posters that show examples of being original: Olivia Rodrigo, who's emotions helped her grow into a confident young adult, the multiple Disney princesses, who teach children about perseverance and kindness, and quite shockingly, an old Stray Kids poster as well, in which the group focuses on the theme of being original in a world where everyone tries to be the same. I had a similar experience my freshman year. It wasn’t about looks, but people would look down on me because I was different. The biggest thing that helped me was realizing that what my peers thought didn’t define me, it only defined their character.

The same thing happened to me as a teen I wasn’t into what the ‘’popular’’ kids were into or dressed like how they did or listen to the mainstream music they listen to or what they considered ‘’cool’’ and I dressed differently and just wanted to be myself I had an emo rock look with a Mohawk and played piano 🎹 and liked to watch alot of anime and listen to alot of rock songs and some kids treated me differently and some thought I was weird for it and also because I was shorter than my peers so I got bullied for that too it sucked but the people that knew me thought I was cool 😎 and for me that what really matters

On one hand Sabrina's Dad wasn't being overly controlling on the other hand Sabrina was wrong for complaining that she was being overly controlling. Yes that was sarcasm because there wasn't anything that was out of the norm parents should care with their kids wear. If a parent really loves their kids they would care what they wear and how they're presenting themselves. But yes there is such thing as overly controlling but that's not one of them that quote is cold actually loving your kid. That is also called get ready for the real world so that they can make better choices on their own. Doesn't mean they'll always make good choices but you at least are supposed to care enough to teach them. These modern-day messages from Hollywood and even this demonize parents for doing that. It's not truly but they're over-controlling they just lie in the narrative invent the truth to fit the narrative.

when i see those other girls wearing fashionable stuff, i wish my mom would let me have a cool wardrobe. Not long ago I stopped wearing shirts that said stuff like "super mom". basically next year im starting high school and im still wearing these clothes that make me look like either a grandma or a rectangle because my mom only allows me to wear that.
When I was 15, I didn't know wearing makeup and crop top became an everyday trend. At that time, I didn't know what was crop top until I bought a white and navy blue mixed T-shirt which has a translucent layer inside and half a shirt outside.
I wore that on the Singapore trip and yes, it was a semi modest crop top.
In the past, I have worn printed T-shirts because the women's sizes were too loose, which didn't fit my body shape. Despite this, nobody ever commented on my style.
When it came to makeup, except for weddings, school annual day etc, I never wore makeup to school because it was against the dress code.
As long as you were wearing makeup to those events because you genuinely wanted to rather than feeling like you *had* to just to fit in
