I would like to add something, please keep in mind that the GFX 50S (I or II) 50R offer only contrast detect autofocus, which is fast enough but can't do any tracking, while GFX100 and 100S have Phase Detect Autofocus which is way better at continuous autofocus.
appreciate you bringing up the two hard click point. it was really one of the changes from the earlier models that I really missed! my 100 is a beast but it would literally be the perfect camera for my shooting if it had the double hard click
Great camera, indeed. But I'm not sure it's a better choice than a Canon R5 for example, if you consider body's performance + lenses range. Anyway currently I shoot with an old M262, a 28 and a 50 ; and that keeps me happy 🙂
Have to agree, there doesn't appear to be much benefit over the original 50s particularly when used in its two natural environments being studio & landscape.
I think this is the type of camera that people buy for a specific purpose. It's not a video camera and most people doing video or any video Work would just pick up an XT3XT4 or XT5 or an H camera because they will all shoot 4k.... I've seen a whole stack of reviews of this camera and people trying to do straight Photography with it. No it is not a street camera please stop trying to judge it as a street Photography camera because no one is going to buy it for that. No one in their right mind needs 50 megapixels for street Photography you just don't that is stupid okay this is a studio and landscape camera and let's be really clear on that. And yes, I teach Photography in three different places and there's no way I would recommend this camera unless you are advanced in your skills and you have a specific purpose for I've seen so many people trying to shoot street Photography with this camera and say oh it doesn't do this and it doesn't do that that's because it's not designed to do that. It's like buying a big Hummer and then expecting it to park in the smallest car park. It's not designed to do that

For me the battery grip and tilt-able evf make the original more useful to me.
