The story of where I have been for 2 months

- For the past two months, I have been fighting with my son's school, police, and school district staff. For years my son has had to deal with bullies with many incidents on record. In this video, I talk about what happened and how it was resolved. For the most part, this is a video for me to talk about it and let it go but I wanted to share it at the same time. Sorry, its so long and if I do sound like I get angry talking but it was a good way for me to release this and move on with my life.

His uncle is a 3rd or 4th degree blackbelt and he has taken some classes. My wife wants me to switch him from swim to some kind of martial arts, simply cant afford both AND the schedule will colide. My toddler is showing signs I hope that kids get better by the time he's in school .
This is my biggest fear , I don't want him to get picked on for being different.
Be there for them and always let them know you love them. I was picked on hardcore in school so I can empathize with my son but the world is so different from when I was in school in the 80's. You will do good sir, just be there when he needs you.

I think the real people who spread the lies got in trouble but being minors I can't know and they can't tell me. So I believe it was served and that's good enough for me

Thank you, it’s all resolved now but the fact they investigated to see if the could prosecute ? Wow, I am not 100% sure since they can’t tell me (the school can’t since they are minors) but I think they got punished… or I like to think so

My son had a 504 learning plan. When he went to middle school, he didn't take the change well with his ADHD and he also had to change busses at a high school. He got picked on, but he was the one that would lash out and get in trouble. In the middle of the year he got to a breaking point and he wanted to blow up the school with himself. We pulled him out of that school got him counseling and into a private school. He was able to transition better and succeed in graduating 🎓 last year. It wasn't an easy time and nothing from the school came of it because of how we handled it. I'm glad your son is being able to move forward and I hope he succeeds as well
I’m glad you found a route that worked. That’s our job as parents to figure out the variables to get the best result we can provide for our kids.
You are a good man sir. Raising kids is not an easy task when all is good and safe. Have raised three sons and have dealt with similar issues myself. Standing with your family will make all the difference in the world to them when things happen. You are right, more parents should take more time teaching their kids better manners. As for becoming a grandpa, congrats, join the club, my first grandchild is due in two months. My daughter in law is stationed in South Korea right now. I have promised to watch over my grandchild like I did my kids. The world needs to hope Korea stays safe, will invade if I have to to keep them all safe.
Manners are a dying art parents teach there kids. I mean frm what I see it seems like the world is going crazy , and I intend to raise respectful strong men.
I'm a new sub and a parent of 3 special needs kids. The schools here have a zero tolerance policy on bullying but did zilch when my 3 kids were bullied to the point where my kids were talking suicide. My wife and I pulled them out and put them in a virtual academy and they are doing great. If it gets too bad you could do virtual. Just do what you need to do to take care of you and yours.
That is terrible and yes they talk the talk “zero tolerance to bullies” but are soft to no action. I’m glad you took them out and we where going to do virtual academy but we decided to transfer to a different school and so far he’s very happy making friends. No more horror stories every day he comes home. The virtual is a last effort and we will see when he rolls into high school. Sorry to do a non motorcycle video - but I had to vent and get this out of my head.

I'm a veteran with a similar story, I left a good job and sold our house in Tennessee to come back to New Hampshire to find my son's life with his wife is really messed up, long story short "meth" so my two grandsons are living with us, not how I envisioned my life. Very disappointed to say the least
I’m sorry to hear that. I am familiar with that story. My wife’s family has several cousins that nearly all there kids are raised my there grandparents. I hope it works out and keep up hope

this is the most optomistic comment Ive read so far. If you only knew him, you would say "Hey this comment fits". hes in a new school as of a week before christmas break and already has a group of friends - kids he hangs with while waiting for the bus --- I am genuinly happy for him.
The struggles of modern public school are super intense. I'm a parent of school aged kids and I was a teacher for 9 years so I have been there. Yall hang in there.
Teachers hands are tied far as I am concerned as opposed to when I was in middle school in the 80's. That paddle and swats scared the crap out of me. Now a days kids and make stuff up and get away with it. Thank you for your time as a teacher, under appriciated and under paid. This is my last one in middle school so I still have highschool to make it though.

I was going crazy with worry my son would be branded a "bad apple" but with a "T", private schools dont admin these kinds of kids and homeschool was not a good option. Everyone says "Well you think your son is great" but hes probably bad when you are not watching. NO, he is not hes a kind kid - hes just really fast and animated when hes communicating. Thanks andy , this is helping me close out this chapter and ready for a new one.
We've had issues at school with bullying as well, nothing as serious as you, but the counselor and school did F all about it.
They'll send you tons of messages and threaten you over absences(we all know what matters more to them) but violence against the child is no big deal. It's infuriating.
They had to nerve to tell me my son was not being bullied! 2 years he was going to the school counelor talking baout it and even have it on video. Principal said that my son made a funny sound and the kid didnt like it and nocked it out of his hand , kicked and hit him... he provoked it. That was on video and yet they dont want to say its bulliing. Hes in a new school now and making friends. Not much firther than his old school but no bus service. Small price to pay for him being happy where he is at and in his own skin.

He is a tough kid and really was taking all this in like a champ. As of now it’s like he’s fitting in so much better at his new school. Thanks man for the support , it’s just crazy how mean kids can be and how much they think they can get away with.

Homeschool was a serious option but I don't want him to not learn how to be social and work with people. He's good at his new school now so lets see how that rolls. Highschool is only two years away.
Telling the teacher makes you a snitch and just makes it worse. Bullies only bully those they can. Have to stand up to them. Better to get a black eye defending yourself than allow someone to press you. Hope your son finds peace. You shouldn't feel isolated like that just cause you are different.
Thank you for your kind words. He is much better now, but still has issues from time to time but is learning to more or less walk away when possible.
I hate to say it but …. Ya can’t take the BS with out fighting! It is a natural instinct. The fist must be throw and done with wisdom! That will prevent further intimidation. It seems they may see the passive aggressive as weakness. Kids do that . They will drill a target if they feel they are winning.

In my day (80's) I got in so many fights in middle shcool for being one of three asian kids. Kid called me "Chink" for weeks and I called him 4 eyes , he challenated me to fight and I said sure. I got a few licks in , pushed his head into a urinal and after that I didnt get into a sigle fight. There is a time for words and there is a time for action. If this had ended where he got into a fight because someone was pushing him down simply because he talks fast and diffrent i would take him to get ice cream and maybe even a movie.
We live in an age where everyone gets butt hurt, points a finger and assumes whatever was said is true.

Get a lawyer. That's defamation. And consider mma classes for self defense for him. My son is Autistic and I feel he gets picked on but won't tell me. Can't stand bullies
Spoke to lawyers for hours / days and if things had gone in a way he had to go to the discipline alternative school it would have turned into a lawsuit for sure. I am happy with the outcome, not the best outcome but the best for my son.
You said your kid is 12 years old correct and you said that there was cameras in elementary schools now but you said the kid is in Middle School are we talking about multiple school years or did this all happen in one year because you said Middle School and Elementary in your story
Rumors spread by word of mouth to the other schools and if I said elementary i meant middle school . Sorry if I was confusing
Homeschool
We have him in a different middle school just as close as the old school. We also submitted him to the magnet technical school and he is 3rd in line to go there. He does love tech and maybe he will be with other kids like him.
I know how you feel Ceasar because I have ADS because in school I went to special education learning program 1-2-3 cooking sewing & wood works and JA program how to work with people in the Groups and others! 🙏
