I have a son who is 10 months old. I hope for a rapture before The Great Tribulation so that my son won't have to experience the horror of that time. No matter what happens, I have to trust God and know that he will protect us. And if He chooses to take our life by means of persecution, I pray I can stand on His promise that He will keep my faith from failing.

The rapture is not a return or coming to earth, it’s to receive the church to Himself in a blink of an eye. The second coming is after the tribulation when He comes again with his saints in glory and is vindicated as Lord of Lords and King of Kings and every knee will have to bow.

You know when John wrote these words, " Come Lord Jesus", he already had his eyes poked out and barely escaped death. All of the other Apostle were already killed at that time. You see the dead can say the same, so tribulation has no bearings on it. So yes, we Post tribbers, also say the same, "Come Lord Jesus". Understand the difference of God's wrath and trib is key to knowledge.

Jesus descends on a CLOUD wearing ONE crown to rescue His bride at the Rapture and we meet Him in the AIR. He returns at the end of the Tribulation RIDING on a WHITE HORSE wearing MANY crowns with His bride and touches down on the Mount of Olives. So brother, Have you read Jesus word's in Matthew 24, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, v.29.... "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, v. 30.... "And He will send His angels with the great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." v.31 "But as the days of Noah were, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man be." v.37 "and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." v.39 Then you can see in verses 40-42 that one will be taken and the other left. These are the sinners who will fall under the judgment of God (not believers). This is right, because Jesus just said it would be like the days of Noah. The ark as you know "saved" Noah, but the flood destroyed (judgment) all who were outside of the ark. Jesus is a type and shadow of "the ark". So, being caught up to meet the Lord as His believers and the return of Jesus to the earth to reign with His saints in Jerusalem for a thousand years is one event.
I agree; rapture isn’t the second coming, because it is us-the church- being taken up into the clouds to be with Him. Not Him coming down. I had to really research the answers Pastor John gives. Ever since 2016, I have found his stances to not be biblical. Very disappointing.

Robert: The second coming is at the end of the 3.5 year great tribulation. You do not want to go through that. Especially when God made a way to be somewhere else of far greater beauty and blessing.

I will walk through the fires my Lord wishes me to. I will endure what he wishes to get home to him. I will learn along the way and spread the word of his love.
I believe the pre-trib view. There is not one verse or passage that tells us when the rapture will occur. The best arguments is that the church is never mentioned on the earth during the tribulation and also Christ doesn’t come back at the rapture we meet him in the air and the saints are mentioned with Christ at the 2nd coming with judgment following the setup of the 1000 year reign with Christ. A good illustration of this happening is Noah and the ark. God kept (lifted up) the righteous class while judgement came on the earth, and after the righteous came down and restarted the earth. Same in the days of Lot. God kept them out of the judgement, God did not Preserve them inside the judgement. I DO NOT EXCLUDE ANYONE FROM THE BODY OF CHRIST WHO HAS A DIFFERENT VIEW THAN ME ON THIS SUBJECT.

The rapture can happen at any moment. 7. Revelation 3:3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Does the rapture happen near the end of the tribulation or at the end of the tribulation? I believe the pretribulation rapture. Before the tribulation believers will be raptured. There is no instruction to the church about the tribulation. If the church is to go through the tribulation there should be instructions and warnings of some sort, but there isn’t. Scripture tells us we have hope in Christ. The blessed hope. If this is a message of comfort as we wait for Christ then why would we go through the tribulation? Think about it. We are waiting for Christ not the anti-Christ and God’s wrath. 8. Titus 2:13 while we wait for the blessed hope-the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 9. 1 Thessalonians 2:19 “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?” Paul says believers will not suffer wrath. We know that during the tribulation God will pour out His wrath on the earth. If Scripture says believers will not suffer wrath and there will be a time where God pours out His wrath then that tells us that the rapture will occur before the tribulation. 10. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus says He will deliver Christians from the hour of trial. He is saying He will keep you from the tribulation. 11. Revelation 3:10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. The second coming of Christ is after the rapture and at the end of the tribulation. It wouldn’t make sense if the rapture happened at the end of the tribulation because we would go up and then immediately come back down with Christ. Pretribulation makes more sense. 12. Revelation 19:11-16 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords. In Luke 17 and Matthew 24 when it talks about one person will be taken and the other left it is talking about the wicked being taken. These passages are not referring to the rapture like some may think. 13. Luke 17:35-37 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.” “Where, Lord?” they asked. He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.” 14. Matthew 24:40-42 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. The rapture is real, but even if you don’t believe it that is not that important. The important question is where will you go when you die? If there is a rapture will you be raptured?

Ryan, the fact that the actual word 'church' does not occur in Rev. ch.6-18 is a pathetically weak argument from silence. The word 'church' is not found in several N.T. letters, but does that mean it wasn't here?!? God himself is not mentioned in the book of Esther, so does that mean he'd gone AWOL? There are clearly many faithful, courageous believers, suffering and dying for Jesus, on earth during the tribulation: Rev.6:9-11; 12:11,17; 13:7,8,10; 14:12-13; 17:6; 18:4; 20:4. If believers are here, the church is here, and if the church is here, it cannot have been 'raptured'. And that's only one of numerous reasons for rejecting a pre-trib rapture.
The redeemed receive their glorified bodies at the last trumpet. That is when it takes place. The dead in Christ first, then those who are alive and remain afterwards. “Rapture doesn’t appear in the Bible”. No, harpazo does. It’s Greek for snatching away. Its used in the Septuagint for every other rapture like event; Enoch & Elisha for instance. It’s in the passive tense so someone is being acted on. When Jesus says he comes “like a thief”, how so if it’s mid or post tribulation. If the tribulation starts I’m going to have a pretty good idea of when it’ll happen. Even atheists seeing the antichrist will probably think “I feel like this is what those Christians were talking about, Jesus is probably gonna arrive soon???” If it doesn’t happen, I’ll deal with it. I’m going to hope.

It's pre. The trumpets are different. The first one for the Rapture while the second is part of a set of 7 trumpet judgements. There is a significance of trumpets sounding in Jewish tradition. There are no signs for rapture while there are for 2nd coming. Rapture isn't to be confused with 2nd coming as His feet does not touch the ground in the first. If you say that the rapture is post, then Jesus will be doing a bungee jump which can't be. There are other verses that stipulate the order of events.
Rapture or no rapture we should be ready at all time 💧 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. Be ready at all time 👍

I've learned thru the Assembly of God that the Rapture will take the children and believers away but those who don't go with Jesus at the time will have to endure the 7yrs of tribulation so the ones who succeed will then be lifted to heaven but not without suffering first .

Pastor John's explanation is something that I came upon on a personal study. It's good to hear that another pastor sees the coming of Christ as one great event that we are awaiting.
I also believed the whole pre-trib lie until I did a personal study as well. It took me forty years to find the truth because I didn't see any need to study it for myself because I figured that if you were a true believer, it didn't matter if you had another view, you would still be raptured pre-trib. Now I see what a destructive teaching the pre-trib view is because I believe many will fall away from the faith as Jesus warned because, in part, they will feel betrayed by all the pastors that taught them they would not endure the tribulation.

I just believed in the pre trib because we watched the movie Left Behind at church when I was still a baby Christian and that was the first time I ever heard about this rapture. As years went by I still believed it and heard others talking about it which confirmed what I saw in the movie to be the truth. I don't even remember how I discovered that there were other views, but I started doing a lot of research and reading for myself and I found that the only thing that made sense was that all people will live through the tribulation. Other Christians in generations past were severely persecuted and even killed in all manner of gruesome ways, so I don't understand why the one generation that has lived in relative peace believes we should be the only ones not to experience persecution. Why are we so special compared to all past generations of persecuted Christians???

The only rapture is at the second coming when the saints are caught up to Jesus as he is returning to earth. That takes place in Jerusalem and that’s the trumpet sounded by ANGELS, not by GOD as it happens when He comes at the beginning of the tribulation for His saints. What you are being taught is called REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY where basically you don’t know the difference in Bible prophecy between the jews, the gentiles and the church and put the church in place of the jews. Also, there will be newly saved people during the tribulation, those saved by the preaching of the 144,000 jews. Those martyrs are NOT todays church. The Church was conceived on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts. The Church foetus went through almost 2,000 yrs of gestation (human foetus gestation is 10 months ) & completed on 23 Sept 2017 in Rev 12:1-2 as confirmed by NASA, when the water bag burst. However, due to the long gestation, the birth or Church rapture could not happen in one day, but many months later & most probably in this yr of 2019, as supported by other converging signs towards it. No earthly bridegroom has ever allowed or will allow his own bride to go through a fiery trial just before the wedding. So, all the more God Jesus, the Church Bridegroom will surely not allow His Church Bride to go through the 7-yr great tribulation before or after the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in heaven. Oh my. I don't think you need to listen to this guy for 2 reasons. Reason 1. No one that was a preacher in the bible, called themselves a pastor. According to the bible a preacher and a pastor are two entirely different things. AND 2. This man knows about 5 or 6 scriptures and doesn't even understand them. The bible NEVER says there will be a rapture. NEVER! The bible only speaks about ONE last final day of judgment. On that last and final day, there will be no second chances. You'd think after the 1st failed rapture prediction, and then the 2nd 3rd 4th and so on of this failing people would FINALLY see there is no such thing and NEVER will be a such thing. God says when He makes his last return that he will melt this world with a fervent heat! If God, is going to melt the world and destroy it, you tell me how ANYONE could survive that and be left behind? The answer is that they can't survive it. Bottom line... When God comes back you will either be ready or you won't. The end.

@@Ears14U It would depend on how you define "resurrection." Are you talking about an individual rising from the dead or about everyone rising. If it is everyone, then there is only one. "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). If everyone rises, but it isn't the end of the world, then everyone will die again, which isn't how the world works.

I don't understand why so many are concerned whether Jesus returns pre or post tribulation. We should be ready to meet him anytime. We are not guaranteed another day on this earth. We should be more concerned about who is not saved and prepare them to meet our Lord and saviour.
Those who believe in pre trib rapture (this is not the second coming) also believe that those who were not taken have another chance to be saved after the tribulation when Jesus returns. That is the problem. We only have one chance to be taken to heaven and that is when Jesus returns, there is no pre trib rapture at all. Very false and dangerous. It is dangerous because there are people who will think they have two chances to be taken to heaven when we only have one. And yes you are correct, we need to always be ready.

The unspeakable wrath of God is about to be poured out on this world. We are not appointed unto wrath. The Word clearly says Jesus returns in the air, without judgement, to call His children home. He then returns with His bride, with judgement, and sets His foot on the Mt. of Olives. Two very different events.

As a Christian who has gone through so many trials and tribulations in my life, my feeling is this: He won't come and snatch us out of the tribulation, but protect us from the worse part of it!! He has always been there for me when I go through difficult times. Somehow He makes it not as bad as it could have been. And I always get through it (with Jesus's help), and learn something from it!! Besides why would He get us out of the tribulation and then say only the ones who overcome will inherit eternal life?!?!? That is so simple to me. All those doctrines regarding "left behind" are not biblical. But a lot of people believe it, and shame on the preachers who preach that!! It is a FALSE comfort for Christians who are afraid of the tribulation. Jesus WILL BE WITH US through it, and He will protect us......... God bless you

April read 2 Thessalonians 2 yourself and you will find out that this man quoted scripture out of context. It is quite evident that there is a "being gathered to him" event before or at the time that the antichrist is revealed, which is at the beginning of the Trib. It says that this "gathering" won't happen "UNTIL" the man of lawlessness is revealed. And then the implication is that is when the "gathering to Him" will happen. Who is the "him"? Jesus Christ. And where is Jesus Christ? In heaven with the Father. And what is He doing in heaven? Preparing a place for us, John 14:1-3.

Have you noticed how vehemently the pretrib rapture doctrine is attacked. Not to say that others aren't attacked as well, but the pretrib especially. It's like a fight has been picked. Paul tells Timothy to avoid speculation knowing that it causes quarrels.... so according to Word of God, 'speculation' is a strong culprit for initiating quarrels. If the church were to take a stand against speculation in eschatology, the quarrels would come to a quick halt. For example; we are often told that the raptured are changed to incorruptible..." Which seems like a beautiful piece of poetry, however it is contrary to what Paul stated. First of all, Paul called the event in this passage (1 Cor. 15:42-54), the "resurrection of the dead" (see vs. 42), which of course brings the focus on dead dudes. The term 'rapture' redirects the focus to the living. So to 'rightly divide' this passage requires the division in which Paul specifics and not some conjured ideal. Paul then (rightly) divides the spiritual body from the physical body....see vs. 44. We know that the spiritual body is the one that is present with the Lord when the physical earth suit dies.... 2 Cor. 5:8. Also when John was told, "come up here..." immediately he was in the spiritual body.... Rev. 4:1,2 Philippians 3:20,21 is the only passage that directly refers to a "glorified body", and it refers to the body of Christ. this passage shows that when we get to heaven our body is changed to be like Christ. Everyone who has died and gone to heaven has such a body. They have "glorified bodies"and they are spiritual in nature. Turn your focus on these dead dudes for a moment... The Word of God states that they return with Christ when He comes for the catching away.... 1Thess. 4:14. At this time their physical bodies are resurrected from the grave... and they rise first. Indeed, those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with the dead dudes physical bodies. ... 1 Thess. 4:14-17. The rendezvous is in the air/clouds of Earth... not Heaven. Their "glorified bodies' that they have been living with in Heaven all this time undergoes a different change at the resurrection of the dead. They are now getting their physical bodies back raised from the dead.... thus the name of the event, "the resurrection of the dead." Those who are alive and remain (raptured) are changed from mortal to immortal. This is the opposite of Adam who was changed from immortal to mortal... by sin... see Roms. 5. Corruptible is defined as decaying in the grave... see Acts 2:31. Most English versions use the term perishable... which also means that it can rot and decay. Many grab the English term "corruptible" and run away with some spiritualized consideration.... creating their own wild doctrines and imaginations. However, the term has nothing to do with the moral state of a person. Verse 52 specifically (rightly divides) states that the DEAD will be raised incorruptible/imperishable. It's not talking about the living. So when this presenter states," the rapture is being born incorruptible..." He is presenting a case of "wrongfully dividing" the Word of Truth. It's important to note that the spiritual body is not mortal, nor can it rot in the grave. The rightful division shows the passage to be speaking of the physical body only. The physical body is beneficial on a physical world. Those who were living happy joyous lives in Heaven in their glorified bodies are now getting their physical bodies back so that they can rule and reign with Christ for a 1000 years on a physical Earth. Without them they would be disembodies spirits, running around as ghosts, unable to accomplish the task of ruling and reigning with Him. Paul states that these flesh and blood bodies do not go to Heaven... see vs 50. Jesus is not headed to Heaven but to the Mount of Olives with all of His saints... Zech 14:4,5. Jesus modeled this EXACT return in Acts 1;9-14. Jesus comes from Heaven to the sky/clouds, and continues to the Mount of Olives

I have a son who is 10 months old. I hope for a rapture before The Great Tribulation so that my son won't have to experience the horror of that time. You know when John wrote these words, " Come Lord Jesus", he already had his eyes poked out and barely escaped death. All of the other Apostle were already killed at that time. Jesus is back on earth in rev 19 20 when he cast the beast and his false prophet into the lake of fire and he is still on earth in rev 20 1 3 when he cast satan into the bottomless pit for a thousand years that means zechariah 14 4 5 takes place prior to rev 19 20 so how can the living be raptured on jesus way down to earth at the second coming when the dead in christ in rev 20 4 are not reserected till AFTER jesus has returned to earth? Can you explaine this?

In my view, the rapture (a moment) will not be the second coming.
Second Coming is a different event that will be seen by everyone.
So brother, Have you read Jesus word's in Matthew 24, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, v.29....

"And He will send His angels with the great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." v.31 "But as the days of Noah were, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man be." v.37 "and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." v.39 Then you can see in verses 40-42 that one will be taken and the other left.
These are the sinners who will fall under the judgment of God (not believers). This is right, because Jesus just said it would be like the days of Noah. The ark as you know "saved" Noah, but the flood destroyed (judgment) all who were outside of the ark. Jesus is a type and shadow of "the ark". So, being caught up to meet the Lord as His believers and the return of Jesus to the earth to reign with His saints in Jerusalem for a thousand years is one event.

I agree; rapture isn’t the second coming, because it is us-the church- being taken up into the clouds to be with Him. Not Him coming down. I had to really research the answers Pastor John gives. Ever since 2016, I have found his stances to not be biblical. Very disappointing.

I will walk through the fires my Lord wishes me to. I will endure what he wishes to get home to him. I will learn along the way and spread the word of his love.
I believe the pre-trib view. There is not one verse or passage that tells us when the rapture will occur. The best arguments is that the church is never mentioned on the earth during the tribulation and also Christ doesn’t come back at the rapture we meet him in the air and the saints are mentioned with Christ at the 2nd coming with judgment following the setup of the 1000 year reign with Christ. A good illustration of this happening is Noah and the ark. God kept (lifted up) the righteous class while judgement came on the earth, and after the righteous came down and restarted the earth. Same in the days of Lot. God kept them out of the judgement, God did not Preserve them inside the judgement.
I DO NOT EXCLUDE ANYONE FROM THE BODY OF CHRIST WHO HAS A DIFFERENT VIEW THAN ME ON THIS SUBJECT.

The rapture will be in an instant.

Christ will come for His bride and take His saints to Heaven.

6. Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
The rapture can happen at any moment.
7. Revelation 3:3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
Does the rapture happen near the end of the tribulation or at the end of the tribulation? I believe the pretribulation rapture. Before the tribulation believers will be raptured.
There is no instruction to the church about the tribulation. If the church is to go through the tribulation there should be instructions and warnings of some sort, but there isn’t. Scripture tells us we have hope in Christ.
The blessed hope. If this is a message of comfort as we wait for Christ then why would we go through the tribulation? Think about it. We are waiting for Christ not the anti-Christ and God’s wrath.
8. Titus 2:13 while we wait for the blessed hope-the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
9. 1 Thessalonians 2:19 “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?”
Paul says believers will not suffer wrath.
We know that during the tribulation God will pour out His wrath on the earth. If Scripture says believers will not suffer wrath and there will be a time where God pours out His wrath then that tells us that the rapture will occur before the tribulation.
10. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus says He will deliver Christians from the hour of trial. He is saying He will keep you from the tribulation.
11. Revelation 3:10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.
The second coming of Christ is after the rapture and at the end of the tribulation.
It wouldn’t make sense if the rapture happened at the end of the tribulation because we would go up and then immediately come back down with Christ. Pretribulation makes more sense.
12. Revelation 19:11-16 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.
In Luke 17 and Matthew 24 when it talks about one person will be taken and the other left it is talking about the wicked being taken. These passages are not referring to the rapture like some may think.
13. Luke 17:35-37 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.” “Where, Lord?” they asked. He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”
14. Matthew 24:40-42 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
The rapture is real, but even if you don’t believe it that is not that important. The important question is where will you go when you die? If there is a rapture will you be raptured?

Ryan, the fact that the actual word 'church' does not occur in Rev. ch.6-18 is a pathetically weak argument from silence. The word 'church' is not found in several N.T. letters, but does that mean it wasn't here?!? God himself is not mentioned in the book of Esther, so does that mean he'd gone AWOL?
There are clearly many faithful, courageous believers, suffering and dying for Jesus, on earth during the tribulation: Rev.6:9-11; 12:11,17; 13:7,8,10; 14:12-13; 17:6; 18:4; 20:4. If believers are here, the church is here, and if the church is here, it cannot have been 'raptured'. And that's only one of numerous reasons for rejecting a pre-trib rapture.
The redeemed receive their glorified bodies at the last trumpet. That is when it takes place. The dead in Christ first, then those who are alive and remain afterwards. In the following two passages, the dead believers will be "raised imperishable" (resurrected) to receive their glorified bodies and the living believers will "be changed" to receive their glorified bodies.

“Rapture doesn’t appear in the Bible”. No, harpazo does. It’s Greek for snatching away. Its used in the Septuagint for every other rapture like event; Enoch & Elisha for instance. It’s in the passive tense so someone is being acted on. When Jesus says he comes “like a thief”, how so if it’s mid or post tribulation. If the tribulation starts I’m going to have a pretty good idea of when it’ll happen. Even atheists seeing the antichrist will probably think “I feel like this is what those Christians were talking about, Jesus is probably gonna arrive soon???”

It's pre. The trumpets are different. The first one for the Rapture while the second is part of a set of 7 trumpet judgements. There is a significance of trumpets sounding in Jewish tradition. There are no signs for rapture while there are for 2nd coming. Rapture isn't to be confused with 2nd coming as His feet does not touch the ground in the first. If you say that the rapture is post, then Jesus will be doing a bungee jump which can't be. There are other verses that stipulate the order of events.

I've learned thru the Assembly of God that the Rapture will take the children and believers away but those who don't go with Jesus at the time will have to endure the 7yrs of tribulation so the ones who succeed will then be lifted to heaven but not without suffering first .

Pastor John's explanation is something that I came upon on a personal study. It's good to hear that another pastor sees the coming of Christ as one great event that we are awaiting.
I also believed the whole pre-trib lie until I did a personal study as well. It took me forty years to find the truth because I didn't see any need to study it for myself because I figured that if you were a true believer, it didn't matter if you had another view, you would still be raptured pre-trib. Now I see what a destructive teaching the pre-trib view is because I believe many will fall away from the faith as Jesus warned because, in part, they will feel betrayed by all the pastors that taught them they would not endure the tribulation.

I just believed in the pre trib because we watched the movie Left Behind at church when I was still a baby Christian and that was the first time I ever heard about this rapture. As years went by I still believed it and heard others talking about it which confirmed what I saw in the movie to be the truth. I don't even remember how I discovered that there were other views, but I started doing a lot of research and reading for myself and I found that the only thing that made sense was that all people will live through the tribulation. Other Christians in generations past were severely persecuted and even killed in all manner of gruesome ways, so I don't understand why the one generation that has lived in relative peace believes we should be the only ones not to experience persecution. Why are we so special compared to all past generations of persecuted Christians???

Mitchell C Sorry but you are dead wrong. Learn to divide the scripture. Those gathered when Jesus returns are the jews, not the church. That takes place in Jerusalem and that’s the trumpet sounded by ANGELS, not by GOD as it happens when He comes at the beginning of the tribulation for His saints. What you are being taught is called REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY where basically you don’t know the difference in Bible prophecy between the jews, the gentiles and the church and put the church in place of the jews. Also, there will be newly saved people during the tribulation, those saved by the preaching of the 144,000 jews. Those martyrs are NOT todays church.

He uses the New Testament. Jesus doesn’t come twice. The second coming is when he actually sets foot on the ground. When he meets us in the clouds for the rapture, he has not yet come. He never steps foot on the ground at the rapture.

Apostles: Were not spared persecution and death on account of their testimony for Christ.

The Church was conceived on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts. The Church foetus went through almost 2,000 yrs of gestation (human foetus gestation is 10 months ) & completed on 23 Sept 2017 in Rev 12:1-2 as confirmed by NASA, when the water bag burst. However, due to the long gestation, the birth or Church rapture could not happen in one day, but many months later & most probably in this yr of 2019, as supported by other converging signs towards it. No earthly bridegroom has ever allowed or will allow his own bride to go through a fiery trial just before the wedding. So, all the more God Jesus, the Church Bridegroom will surely not allow His Church Bride to go through the 7-yr great tribulation before or after the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in heaven. Currently, He is preparing the mansions for His Church Bride in heaven.

Oh my. I don't think you need to listen to this guy for 2 reasons. Reason 1. No one that was a preacher in the bible, called themselves a pastor. According to the bible a preacher and a pastor are two entirely different things. AND 2. This man knows about 5 or 6 scriptures and doesn't even understand them. The bible NEVER says there will be a rapture. NEVER! The bible only speaks about ONE last final day of judgment. On that last and final day, there will be no second chances. You'd think after the 1st failed rapture prediction, and then the 2nd 3rd 4th and so on of this failing people would FINALLY see there is no such thing and NEVER will be a such thing. God says when He makes his last return that he will melt this world with a fervent heat! If God, is going to melt the world and destroy it, you tell me how ANYONE could survive that and be left behind? The answer is that they can't survive it. Bottom line... "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). I don't understand why so many are concerned whether Jesus returns pre or post tribulation. We should be ready to meet him anytime. We are not guaranteed another day on this earth. We should be more concerned about who is not saved and prepare them to meet our Lord and saviour.
Those who believe in pre trib rapture (this is not the second coming) also believe that those who were not taken have another chance to be saved after the tribulation when Jesus returns. That is the problem. We only have one chance to be taken to heaven and that is when Jesus returns, there is no pre trib rapture at all. Very false and dangerous. It is dangerous because there are people who will think they have two chances to be taken to heaven when we only have one. And yes you are correct, we need to always be ready.

As a Christian who has gone through so many trials and tribulations in my life, my feeling is this: He won't come and snatch us out of the tribulation, but protect us from the worse part of it!! He has always been there for me when I go through difficult times. Somehow He makes it not as bad as it could have been. And I always get through it (with Jesus's help), and learn something from it!! Besides why would He get us out of the tribulation and then say only the ones who overcome will inherit eternal life?!?!? That is so simple to me. All those doctrines regarding "left behind" are not biblical. But a lot of people believe it, and shame on the preachers who preach that!! April read 2 Thessalonians 2 yourself and you will find out that this man quoted scripture out of context. It is quite evident that there is a "being gathered to him" event before or at the time that the antichrist is revealed, which is at the beginning of the Trib. It says that this "gathering" won't happen "UNTIL" the man of lawlessness is revealed. And then the implication is that is when the "gathering to Him" will happen. Who is the "him"? Jesus Christ. And where is Jesus Christ? In heaven with the Father. And what is He doing in heaven? Preparing a place for us, John 14:1-3.

I don't know why Piper would refuse to see the clear validity of the rapture within Scripture. I pray he changed his mind on this and comes to the knowledge of this truth. It is not encouraging, logically, according to verse 18, to deny the rapture.
Okay, Jesus does return yes but it is AFTER the Tribulation. Where does He take us? Jerusalem, the BARN. Acts 1:11 and Zac 14:4. We NEVER leave earth. Have you noticed how vehemently the pretrib rapture doctrine is attacked. Not to say that others aren't attacked as well, but the pretrib especially. It's like a fight has been picked. Paul tells Timothy to avoid speculation knowing that it causes quarrels.... so according to Word of God, 'speculation' is a strong culprit for initiating quarrels. If the church were to take a stand against speculation in eschatology, the quarrels would come to a quick halt. For example; we are often told that the raptured are changed to incorruptible..." Which seems like a beautiful piece of poetry, however it is contrary to what Paul stated.
First of all, Paul called the event in this passage (1 Cor. 15:42-54), the "resurrection of the dead" (see vs. 42), which of course brings the focus on dead dudes. The term 'rapture' redirects the focus to the living. So to 'rightly divide' this passage requires the division in which Paul specifics and not some conjured ideal. Paul then (rightly) divides the spiritual body from the physical body....see vs. 44. We know that the spiritual body is the one that is present with the Lord when the physical earth suit dies.... 2 Cor. 5:8. Also when John was told, "come up here..." immediately he was in the spiritual body.... Rev. 4:1,2 Philippians 3:20,21 is the only passage that directly refers to a "glorified body", and it refers to the body of Christ. this passage shows that when we get to heaven our body is changed to be like Christ. Everyone who has died and gone to heaven has such a body. They have "glorified bodies"and they are spiritual in nature.
Turn your focus on these dead dudes for a moment... The Word of God states that they return with Christ when He comes for the catching away.... 1Thess. 4:14. At this time their physical bodies are resurrected from the grave... and they rise first. Indeed, those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with the dead dudes physical bodies. ... 1 Thess. 4:14-17. The rendezvous is in the air/clouds of Earth... not Heaven. Their "glorified bodies' that they have been living with in Heaven all this time undergoes a different change at the resurrection of the dead. They are now getting their physical bodies back raised from the dead.... thus the name of the event, "the resurrection of the dead." Those who are alive and remain (raptured) are changed from mortal to immortal. This is the opposite of Adam who was changed from immortal to mortal... by sin... see Roms. 5. Corruptible is defined as decaying in the grave... see Acts 2:31. Most English versions use the term perishable... which also means that it can rot and decay. Many grab the English term "corruptible" and run away with some spiritualized consideration.... creating their own wild doctrines and imaginations. However, the term has nothing to do with the moral state of a person. Verse 52 specifically (rightly divides) states that the DEAD will be raised incorruptible/imperishable. It's not talking about the living. So when this presenter states," the rapture is being born incorruptible..." He is presenting a case of "wrongfully dividing" the Word of Truth.
It's important to note that the spiritual body is not mortal, nor can it rot in the grave. The rightful division shows the passage to be speaking of the physical body only. The physical body is beneficial on a physical world. Those who were living happy joyous lives in Heaven in their glorified bodies are now getting their physical bodies back so that they can rule and reign with Christ for a 1000 years on a physical Earth. Without them they would be disembodies spirits, running around as ghosts, unable to accomplish the task of ruling and reigning with Him. Paul states that these flesh and blood bodies do not go to Heaven... see vs 50. Jesus is not headed to Heaven but to the Mount of Olives with all of His saints... Zech 14:4,5. Jesus modeled this EXACT return in Acts 1;9-14. Jesus comes from Heaven to the sky/clouds, and continues to the Mount of Olives
