As a Blues supporter well played Queensland tonight, the better team won. That was more like a proper Origin match. The intensity was far higher than it had been in the first two games. Whilst the Blues are still a better team, QLD showed tonight that any talk of Origin being “dead” is utterly ridiculous. When the Maroons have their best players available they can win games and series, even against this excellent NSW side. Roll on next year!.
The first time I heard talk in the NSW press about Origin being dead was in 2005, coincidentally just as NSW edged ahead on overall games won for the first time ever (without having to rejig the LA exhibition). They just wanted permanent bragging rights. Funnily enough, Qld won the next 8 in a row. We started Origin; we'll tell you when it's over.

The way they’ve been talking you’d think that the Blues had won for the last 5 years. Let’s hope they’re not eating humble pie yet again this time next year. Beware Queensland after a series loss, they always come back hard. NSW have struggled to retain the Shield over the last 15 years. Origin is not dead, with how some of the QLD debutants played yesterday, next year is going to be as competitive and brilliant as ever. Bring it on!!.

@@5kforyourpatchbackg685, as far as i am aware, a penalty for a intentional knock on is a Rugby Union rule, i do not think that rule applies in Rugby League.

As an Indian I love watching state of origin since 2010 and finally I love it when NSW wins even though I am in India now but still feels like NSW my home and no hard feelings Queensland supporters you guys always gives us the tough competition cheers everyone 😊😊😊
im blues fan and i can honestly say marones deserved to win this, all the players had some fire in their eyes they were absolutely determined to win but up the blues we won the series!
With Cleary was ruled out + the Blues halves selection, I knew QLD would win. It was the best QLD squad from all 3 games.
When Freddy didn't pick walker after those pair were ruled out, I thought the same thing.

Freddy lost the game but he probably does not care, otherwise he wouldn't have lost it with the players he had. Now everyone will blame Moses and say how superior Cleary is. This is really unfair.
Fittler knew that QLD will come to play, but he did not have a winning strategy.
1. He should have used Nicho Hynes in the 2nd half.
2. He should have made sure the team played much better defense.
3. The last 5 minutes with the knock on and taking a 50m kick were amateur hour!
Fred must look at what he did wrong in game 3, even though it was a close game, otherwise he shouldn't be picked as coach.

I've been bombarded with Blues joy by a new neighbour after each of the first two walkovers, so I cannot thank the team enough for this electric win. Funny how they win one series in a row and already the NSW ads were talking of the start of a Blue dynasty lol.

Fittler and Johns have been Scoffing at the Qld Maroons Culture for the last 5-6 years...
Andrew Johns is still doing it, but these days Fittler goes quiet, or gets uncomfortable, when Johns does it in front of the camera (look closely).
Freddy Fittler now knows the importance of it and has to implement that sort of culture to build a strong Blues dynasty...
Mark my words in 2 years he will be bragging about it.

What a terrific game of rugby league. As a NSW fan I got to see a great game and NSW still raised the shield in the end. Well done to QLD winning one game out of three. Hopefully both teams are at full strength for all 3 games next year and we'll all see who is the actual better team.

Amazing what qld can do when their forwards don't give up 500m to the nsw pack and give their halves and spine some momentum to work with, Hunt/Ponga man of match and DCE very close behind, great kicking game and every time he showed and went himself he drew multiple defenders with a quick play the ball to follow, although he will never get credit because some people still hold grudges against him for doing whats best for his family and not signing with gold coast smh

That was play on when Munsters pass hit the nsw player arm and addocar nearly ran the field , player didn’t play at it … teddy ran the backs out of room and hogged it a bit too IMO , how many 6 agains did qld get ? They got lucky off errors really , good tough close game thanks to the ref ..

Watched this while eating breakfast in Buenos Aires. Hunt was great, ponga was dominant... the forwards were powerful. Welsh should be dropped for the high tackle in the 78th minute. Turned out ok though... a waste of vital seconds.

Errors cost us , clunky in attack , defended well considering the amount of 6 agains , wingers played in a dinner suit why weren’t they spreading the ball ? Teddy ran us out of options a fair bit too
