    Hi there. I live in Sydney Australia and have been trying unsuccessfully to grow dendrobium orchids. I now know why thanks to your channel. Will keep watching and hopefully next year may have blooms on my dendrobiums. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍

    Thank you Madame, I found your video very informative. I have several mature dens but also some seedlings I have recently bought. It would be good to have a video regarding the care of small denbrodium seedlings. I live in sub-tropical Queensland, Australia.

    Hi, nice info. Thanks. I am new to orchids, just bought some seedlings from a website, and 31/2 inch pots. They are doing well. I am confused on when to repot or what size pots for say about six inches long shoots? I have not started using support pots ,just the small ones.

      Thanks for watching my video. For newly bought seedlings or matured orchids, it's always advisable to let them adjust to your climate atleast upto one month approximately. By this time they grow new roots and can cope up with the repot.

      @@MyOrchidWorld It's been a month now,they have grown in size and growing new roots,looking strong and healthy. Some are more then six inches in ht. Shd I get a bigger pot. So far ,roots are not coming out of the gaps.

      When repotting orchids, choose a pot where you can fit the roots easily. The pot diameter should be same as the root ball. It should go inside the pot without force

    What do you mean by winter rest ?

    • @MyOrchidWorld
      @MyOrchidWorld  Před 9 měsíci

      Some orchid species stop all activities like producing new roots,new leaves etc as winter approaches. To minimise activities they shed leaves and go into dormancy. This is to protect themselves from the not -so-favourable growing conditions which orchids normally get during summer months.
