    I'm a nurse John, was working at the beginning of the outbreak before we had ppe. I got sick, mildly. Very mildly. Had a very minimal cough, achey legs, head ache and my eyes were sore. But during it, I started having chest pain, pleural pain. And it continued for 5weeks. Apparently a lot of people are presenting with this at hospital. I went back to work after 4weeks and one of the drs advised me to get a chest xray because people were having clotting issues and having pe's. Anyway, my xray was fine. But the said I had pleurisy. I think this is very common in my experience at work now. I wonder why its not being reported. ...

Now at least another thirty percent are working from home. So a little more than half are working. And everyone here was working before the Pandemic. Although I believe another large segment is getting close to going back to work. And that's from having conversations with them. I realize that my situation is unique, because I live in a rural area and my neighbors are financially well off. This isn't a poor neighborhood. My neighbors have treated this like an unscheduled vacation. Of course if your bank account is flush, it's not the struggle it is for most people. In fact, the biggest issue for most families here is the parents not enjoying the homeschooling.

    Dr Campbell.... you should ignore people who "accuse you of this or that".
    You aren't doing this to make people happy but rather as a service to humanity to provide information.(i'm making an assumption but I'd bet I am at least partially correct)
    Please continue what you are doing which is to provide the most up to date and thorough information that you can collect.
    This is a point that should be made. I don't agree with 100% of what you tell us, HOWEVER, I do believe 100% that you are providing unbiased information from your point of view.
    I also believe that you are FAR more knowledgable than likely anyone watching your videos.
    When I say that I don't agree 100%, this is due to cultural differences as far as trusting governmental agencies to be honest and forthright with their countries population.
    Its been my experience that Brits are very proud of their own govt agencies (and I do not argue that its wrong to do so, i'm sure you have your reasons) but the US tends to be far less trusting of our own govt agencies.
    I think its important for us all to keep things like that in mind when interacting. We each have a different level of trust with our own govts.
    I do trust you providing unbiased data without reservation.....and I think any person accusing you of anything else are not taking into consideration that there are cultural differences at play.

    I've had Covid-19. After just over 14 days I appeared to have recovered. But it's becoming apparent to me that recovery is a journey not an event! I've been attempting to recover my physical condition. Each time I push myself, I experience a slight repeat of my symptoms.

Mouth swab test, antibody test, fecal test, etc. What order would one need to do these and/or other tests and how often would each need to be done to provide best results, etc. I think we could use clarification on each noted above and other minitoring we could do, how often and why a diary of some or all on the info (tempersture testing, etc) by us would be useful for our understandibg and personal responsibiliry for ourselves and others, as well as a roadmap for the Dr.. Thank you, Dr. Campbell, for an excellent report, as usual! I was wondering if you could comment/discuss updates on the Kawasaki-like syndrome (reportedly in children) and strokes/ high inflammatory markers (CRP, D-Dimer and so on), elevated liver enzymes, altered kidney function in adults - particularly...
    Why is the Kawasaki-like syndrome reported in children, yet we are seeing the same in adults?
    In those who tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 with Kawasaki-like syndrome, is this perhaps because of a prior exposure to SARS-CoV-2 and/or H1N1(2009)? and/or other virus exposure?
    I know we saw this in H1N1(2009) patients in 2009-2010 after exposure/illness, in adults and children.
    It would seem that imflammatory responses may be a concern when developing a vaccine as well.
    Also, I did see a study announced where randomized serology testing is being done in the US. If I recall correctly, it was linked to ot preforned by the CDC. It's certainly difficult at best to try to keep up with the numerous studies going on. If I run across it again, I'll post a link.
    Also, some doctors here are reluctant to preform the serology (IgG/IgM)testing because they believe that people can be reinfected and become ill again, despite the presence of what is thought to be neutralizing antibodies. It would seem the only way to find out is to have a positive test, then re-exposure? Any thoughts on this?
    Thank you for sharing your insight and wisdom with the world!
    Your video on just washing hands alone has no doubt saved lives! The other information is something you can't put a value on... it's saving lives, sparking ideas in researchers & sharing important information like has never been done on this scale ever before.

      I don't know the medical reasons, but I never travel without zinc, as some countries only sell small mg. I take 2 50mg tablets as soon as I feel something coming on and then 1 a few times a day until I feel yucky. It's always worked, even when in very close contact with someone who is sick. The trick is you need to take it at the first sign of a tickle in the throat. I do take other things with it, but there is definitely something to it.

      @keirfree senior University of Washington doctors first observed the effectiveness of zinc supplementation in cancer patients in 1985. It was shown that sucking on zinc pills can heal a sore throat. Highly effective if taken at first sign of symptoms. Take with food as zinc can cause nausea on empty stomach.

    One big problem with the loss-of-smell test is that people with hay-fever allergies regularly have a diminished sense of smell and may not recognize it if it goes away for a few days.
    This "allergic rhinitis" affects between 10% and 30% of people, worldwide, which cuts the cohort for the test significantly.

    Isn‘t loss of smell a common symptom of a simple cold too?! I‘ve had that every single time while having a cold. It usually started that way. First sign of an upcoming cold! So I don‘t think that‘s that much specific for Covid19(?)

    Why have I not heard any correlation: loss of smell is a sign of zinc
    deficiency, zinc in cells helps stop RNA reproduction, how virus
    replicate, etc, etc. Most info from your channel. No one has put
    these together yet?
    Also, on the US vaccine trial, the 8 individuals "ranged from 18-52", not a good sample group. One of your videos a few weeks ago you said on mortality, Median age 72. The IQR of 57-82. so 75% were over 57. This study gave the trial drugs to only those in the bottom 25%. Not a good sample group. Comments?

    • @andreafalconiero9089
      @andreafalconiero9089 Před 4 lety

      That's 10% of people without _known_ conditions -- or conditions not considered significant enough by the medical examiner to report as co-morbidities. Not exactly the same thing as "people without previous conditions". A lot of conditions that may contribute to death with Covid19 probably go undiagnosed, and this could easily be as high as 10% of cases.

      @patriciahoke4722 Před 4 lety

      ETA: There are also the healthcare workers who died. Were they among the 10%? In those cases, we must ask about their viral load.
