Bro, I’m in the middle of a lawsuit with my landlord after they refused payment unless I paid an extra $200 right now, just paid the court to start the process. Last Monday I had to make a rent payment to the courthouse and found out a scammer got my card over the weekend, bought $300 of IHOP and Chinese food and now I gotta scramble for a new roof over my head. All these scammers can burn in hell.

Been living in hotels that cost 3 times rent because I had to fix my credit score after the ID theft since the thieves also applied for a bunch of loans with my info. Then after I finally fixed that I found out now my old landlord is telling any place I apply to that they want me to pay them thousands for the months after the filing, 2 out of 3 I paid them so I could appeal the eviction I just found out was filed AFTER I paid them the extra $200. So I still can’t get approved until I contest that in court. Life is fucked right now.

As a person who works at a bestbuy geek squad, I had a old women come in around scam season and she got scammed outta $30,000 because she was paying 10k a month on a tech support service. The amount of defeat and realization her face made Just made me feel terrible and their was nothing I could do to help get a penny of that money back.
I hate scammers with a passion but I gotta admit sometimes, the lengths these schemers go to to swindle money out of people make it look almost admirable. Plus there are times where you just have to blame the person who got scammed especially if it's a functioning adult falling for something 9/10 people will say is fake.

Had something similar happen to me some weeks ago: I was grocery shopping and a guy came to me asking for a donation for a mute/deaf people association, and between absent mindedness and hope there's decent people around that need help I ended up forfeiting 20€. The next day I wake up and think "Was that a scam?", as you did I checked google and of course it was. Beat myself up over it for a couple of days but at least it served as a lesson and I hope I won't ever be this gullible, at least before I go senile

Got scammed recently in toronto. There was a kid who got “kicked” out of a taxi and begged me to pay for his ride so he could get home. Turns out it was a fake taxi and both the kid and driver were in on it as they distracted me, took my credit card and its information of their fake POS, gave me a fake credit card back, and then drove away 🤦♂️

Yeah there’s no doubt she was scamming lol if you didn’t tell her to stop she was going load that cart full of formula until it was well over $1000. The sad reality is most of the time when you help homeless people, they’re gonna spend or use what you give them to get drugs. A lot of them don’t bother asking for money for food anymore because people just went and bought them food and it would always piss them off. Unfortunately I’ve been scammed once too though. I was working as a cashier and when I went to give the guy his change back, the dude said I gave him the wrong change. So I checked and was pretty sure it was right, but the dude started getting progressively angrier and louder about having the wrong change so I checked it again and again until eventually he counted it one more time and left. Luckily for him I’m horrible with confrontation and my brain quits working when people get angry so it ended up stressing me out and I gave him like $20 more than intended. Every time I went to give him his change he would ask to exchange a $10 with 10 ones, then a $20 bill with a couple tens, and he repeated this (while still being an asshole about it) until I eventually fucked up and I guess he got me with a slight of hand. After he left I recounted the register, looked up the scam on CZcams and called mall security lol

I have gotten a remote control access scam TWICE. The first time actually got me because I was like 9 and didn't know what they were. I was searching up cat videos until I saw a pop-up on my screen saying that my computer "had viruses" & that I had to call some random ass number. My uncle was dumb and called the number. He had an Indian accent. Basically made me download this "team viewer" and buy $500 worth of software. I was a bit weary but didn't think much of it. And then the same number called me AGAIN to make me buy more stuff. A few weeks passed, and my uncle *finally* rubbed his two brain cells together to realize that it was a scam. Apparently, he "scared" the scammer into giving him his money back. I uninstalled Team Viewer and other stuff the scammer made me download. The #2 one happened last week ago. I was downloading porn until my cursor started moving despite me not touching the keyboard. It was a bit of a jumpscare because I didn't see it coming. I realized someone was remotely controlling my computer. It was most likely the Indian guy because there is NO WAY someone just knew the code to control my curser like that. I wanted to do a Lil trolling although I hate trolls with a passion. I decided to move my curser while he's trying to move it so he can't download any ghetto stuff again. And then he pulled up a blue screen saying that my "Computer has viruses" and to call THE SAME NUMBER. I learned a bit about remote control access scams so I used ALT + CONTROL (CTRL) + DELETE. I clicked the "Switch user" option. This meant that I technically don't have it anymore. I wanted to get rid of the remote control option on my computer. All you have to do is go to control panel and click on system and security. Then, there's this thing called "system". Next, you should see something called, "Allow Remote Control Acess". You click on it and click "remote". Last, uncheck the blue box and click, "Apply". Now dusty hoes can't control your computer. I recommend doing this the first thing you get a new computer.
I once got scammed into sending photos of yk what, and I was scared when the scammer was threatening to send to family and friends. I looked up what to do and it said to not give in so I prayed to God that would work. Fortunately, it did and I never had to worry about it again. Hope this helps for anyone
Moral of the story: Just talk to anyone online or be on sus apps. And if you are talking to people, make sure you do your research on them before you buy from them
Speaking from personal experience, the emotional damage of getting scammed can be way higher than the financial damage. I lost a phone, yeah, but I was so ashamed that I don't really talk to anyone about that particular experience lol.

Here where i live in Spain, we went to an ice cream place and every 2 minutes, random and different scammers would pass through the street. One of them selling blankets (the money would get used to get higher than an F-16), another one asking for money for gas or something, and the most outrageous one was one that said that down the street were her kids starving, so she needed money to buy food. Luckily, my parents just have this hability to avoid scammers without much trouble. They just say "I have nothing on me, I'm sorry. God bless you" and the scammer just insists and then nothing else, they just walk away without money for crack.

Got scammed recently in toronto. There was a kid who got “kicked” out of a taxi and begged me to pay for his ride so he could get home. Turns out it was a fake taxi and both the kid and driver were in on it as they distracted me, took my credit card and its information of their fake POS, gave me a fake credit card back, and then drove away 🤦♂️
Fuck scammers man. Hope they suffer for the rest of eternity.

The same thing happened to me in Target a few months ago. She gave me the card saying that she needed help, but I immediately told her I didn’t have cash. She says she didn’t need money, just someone to help her buy things for her child. Unlike you her cart was already packed with shit, and I told her no again.

Like 9k likes. only 20 comments that were suspiciously all positive. And the “mr beast” channel only had 17k subs. Not to mention all the other red flags. Like that the video was only 17 seconds. The actual mr beast wasn’t in the video. They were really hard to try to get you to click on a link. Etc. So honestly anyone who falls for a scam like that definitely doesn’t deserve it. But at that point if they’re that gullible they shouldn’t be on the internet because you could probably convince them the sky is falling and in order to stop it they need to give you idk 1,000$ and they would believe it.
Where I'm from, it's common for people to pretend to be homeless and beg on the streets. One guy from my hometown got caught driving his Mercedes after begging in the street all day. The car was parked round the corner from where he was hustling

I’ll never forget, when finding Baby formula was harder than getting your hands on a PS5 signed by Tom Brady, there was this one woman selling it over retail on offer up. I really couldn’t believe people were legitimately making a quick scammy ahh buck off of desperate parents and hungry baby’s. That’s when I knew society was officially a joke.
Hell, I lost my steam account abt 2 years back.

Yeah there’s no doubt she was scamming lol if you didn’t tell her to stop she was going load that cart full of formula until it was well over $1000. The sad reality is most of the time when you help homeless people, they’re gonna spend or use what you give them to get drugs. A lot of them don’t bother asking for money for food anymore because people just went and bought them food and it would always piss them off.
Unfortunately I’ve been scammed once too though. I was working as a cashier and when I went to give the guy his change back, the dude said I gave him the wrong change. So I checked and was pretty sure it was right, but the dude started getting progressively angrier and louder about having the wrong change so I checked it again and again until eventually he counted it one more time and left. Luckily for him I’m horrible with confrontation and my brain quits working when people get angry so it ended up stressing me out and I gave him like $20 more than intended. Every time I went to give him his change he would ask to exchange a $10 with 10 ones, then a $20 bill with a couple tens, and he repeated this (while still being an asshole about it) until I eventually fucked up and I guess he got me with a slight of hand. After he left I recounted the register, looked up the scam on CZcams and called mall security lol

I've read several homeless people who explained that they occasionally get poisoned with urine, broken glass etc in food they didn't buy themself so they'd often prefer not to take the risk.

I have gotten a remote control access scam TWICE. The first time actually got me because I was like 9 and didn't know what they were. I was searching up cat videos until I saw a pop-up on my screen saying that my computer "had viruses" & that I had to call some random ass number. My uncle was dumb and called the number. He had an Indian accent. Basically made me download this "team viewer" and buy $500 worth of software. I was a bit weary but didn't think much of it. And then the same number called me AGAIN to make me buy more stuff. A few weeks passed, and my uncle *finally* rubbed his two brain cells together to realize that it was a scam. Apparently, he "scared" the scammer into giving him his money back. I uninstalled Team Viewer and other stuff the scammer made me download.
The #2 one happened last week ago. I was downloading porn until my cursor started moving despite me not touching the keyboard. It was a bit of a jumpscare because I didn't see it coming. I realized someone was remotely controlling my computer. It was most likely the Indian guy because there is NO WAY someone just knew the code to control my curser like that. I wanted to do a Lil trolling although I hate trolls with a passion. I decided to move my curser while he's trying to move it so he can't download any ghetto stuff again. And then he pulled up a blue screen saying that my "Computer has viruses" and to call THE SAME NUMBER. I learned a bit about remote control access scams so I used ALT + CONTROL (CTRL) + DELETE. I clicked the "Switch user" option. This meant that I technically don't have it anymore. I wanted to get rid of the remote control option on my computer. All you have to do is go to control panel and click on system and security. Then, there's this thing called "system". Next, you should see something called, "Allow Remote Control Acess". You click on it and click "remote". Last, uncheck the blue box and click, "Apply".
Now dusty hoes can't control your computer. I recommend doing this the first thing you get a new computer.
I once got scammed into sending photos of yk what, and I was scared when the scammer was threatening to send to family and friends. I looked up what to do and it said to not give in so I prayed to God that would work. Fortunately, it did and I never had to worry about it again. Hope this helps for anyone

Moral of the story: Just talk to anyone online or be on sus apps. And if you are talking to people, make sure you do your research on them before you buy from them
Speaking from personal experience, the emotional damage of getting scammed can be way higher than the financial damage. I lost a phone, yeah, but I was so ashamed that I don't really talk to anyone about that particular experience lol.

Here where i live in Spain, we went to an ice cream place and every 2 minutes, random and different scammers would pass through the street. One of them selling blankets (the money would get used to get higher than an F-16), another one asking for money for gas or something, and the most outrageous one was one that said that down the street were her kids starving, so she needed money to buy food. Luckily, my parents just have this hability to avoid scammers without much trouble. They just say "I have nothing on me, I'm sorry. God bless you" and the scammer just insists and then nothing else, they just walk away without money for crack.
