What you might not know is that cars nowadays have indentations along the frame called "crumple zones". This was to help absorb the energy of an impact upon a crash so that passengers have a higher chances of survival. Old cars did not. Anything and everybody inside absorbed impact. If an old car and new car crashed into each other 9 times out of 10 that old car will still be drivable... I got T-boned in the front drivers side of my 65 Chevelle. New fender and a frame alignment was all it needed. The S-10 was totalled. Lol.
