I was taught as a christian to trust in Jesus because he is our savior, he died for our sins. I will always hold on to my faith. Even when it’s hard. Please pray for me. My husband passed away years ago. I’m a single mother. Both of my sons are autistic and non verbal. Heavenly Father I know you don’t give us no more than we can handle. I know I’m a spiritual being in a physical body. But Lord have mercy on me. Since covid I can’t seem to get back on my feet. I was fired from my job for declining the vaccine. I declined due to my lupus and I also have a heart condition. I’m waitressing but not making nearly enough to get by. Every month is a struggle not to end up on the streets with my children. I’m struggling putting groceries in my refrigerator. Struggling to pay rent. I have no family nor friends to lean on. I’m so tired of struggling financially. I feel alone. I’m crying out to you LORD Jesus SAVE ME and my children from poverty and homelessness. Please hear my prayers. Walking with faith not by sight. ❤
Are you part of a church family? Your church should be counseling and helping you. Also, join a Bible study. It doesn't need to be with your own church. There are also Christian women's club Bible studies and online ones. You can make connections and friends who will support you.

Thank You Lysa.... was married 24yrs, Stay awhile before divorcing. Divorce proceedings took additional 3 years. Has taken 4 to 5 years to accept that it happened. I'm humbly grateful for you speaking out the process of hurt disappointment. And still loving that the Lord has grace and a plan.😢😅❤🎉

Lisa you say it so well. We need our mental health more than being destroyed by someone we loved. I was married to an unfaithful man who when I was pregnant had someone else pregnant. The most devastating thing was one almost lived in our lives for 8 years. The day I discovered her child was his was devastating. But today I can say I am happy divorced for 26 years. I know your pain and your journey. I pray that many will understand our decision with God is the best we could do❤
You have helped me so much through my similar story. Married 28 years to my high school sweetheart who had multiple affairs and left multiple times. I’ll always be sad our story ended in divorce, but God❤️. He is bringing my girls and me out of the ashes and into so much good! HE has good plans!!

So, my name is Matt and obviously I am a man. I just turned 50 on Monday, July 17. Lysa has actually become my most favorite "Christian guidance counselor". I have been walking through the last two years of the most broken heart I ever could have conjured up. The woman I loved most on this earth, and was engaged to, decided she no longer wanted to be married. We were together a total of just over six years. So, we went backwards and continued to date and she would tell me "why do you think it's not possible for a person to love someone and not want to get married." She's a Christian mother of three children and her kids were my lifeblood. I'm still reeling in complete "hands in the air, God what are you going to do with my life now" moments. I know one question to be certain…how could any man cheat on Lysa. Um, i'll just be quiet now...

😮was married 46 years abused continually left n can’t seem to trust any one now. I stay quite alone but your site is so helpful n full of great teaching n healing n info I’m glad I’m able to know someones out there is actually good at the healing instead if pretending you can be fine after what happened to our bodies n minds. I hope I will be at the healing stage at one point.Right now I just pretend n pray n keep trying to forgive him for real instead of finding out I’m still hurtingI just pops out when I don’t expect it. I read i can have triggers I guess.

Amazing! So blessed by her. But she got divorced ? or they reconciled?
They got remarried then 3 years after divorced.
She forgave him for the affair in 2016, and they stayed together until recently. I believe he cheated again and that’s when she filed for divorce.

No, Lisa if your spouse had an affair you do have biblical grounds for divorce!
No judgement. I think clearly you stuck in there and tried to make it work. For me as a Believer the hardest thing is not having grounds for divorce while you are I would say ( dying inside). But there has to be grounds for divorce. (In my opinion.) Some people have their conscience so bound that perhaps they stay longer than they should because the don't want to upset God. (Talking about myself. no judgement to others. but this is a hard topic!)
May God forgive me but, in my experience not just us women, we often have an idealistic view of how things should go in addition to the Biblical ideal and life just does not live up to that. We can do the best we can but the other party and all humans have free will...moral agency to do good or bad. This is very disappointing. Let me say especially because of HOLLYWOOD...and the media we are exposed to from a young age. I'm sorry but it's true! Real life is not a romance movie or a hallmark movie and constant exposure to that leaves many open to great disappointment and disillusionment.
All this therapeutic talk-just stop. Jesus didn’t “process His pain” or “create space”. He died and took the FULL wrath of God on himself bc/He loved us. He conquered sin and death so we don’t have to be slaves to it anymore. When you make this about unmet desires, you diminish what the gospel is. Proclaim the Truth! That’s enough.

Yes...and truly grounds if the infidelity is unrepentant.

Thank you so much for your authenticity ❤ I too went through this. The divorce was drawn out for 2 1/2yrs and even had to endure being stalked and harassed during this and so much more. It was nothing but God during the entire process! Thank you for being unashamed, authentic, and open about what you went through and allowing God to use you to help so many other women like myself that has gone, going through, and will go through similar situations and need to hear this! 🙏🏾🙌🏾🫶🏾
