And that is how you overwhelm an Iron Dome, with thousands of dumb, fin-guided rockets. The resources needed to pull this off could have solved all kinds of other problems. But those inclined to sneak attacks never seem to take that into account. For them it's all about the shock, humiliation and fantasies of a capitulating enemy.

It's very expensive to acquire and maintain these systems, each Iron Dome cost $50 million and it cost $150,000 to intercept a missile each time. There is no definitive answer to "absolute success" when it comes to this, the more Iron Domes Israel has the more successful it'll get. 11 Iron Domes is covering the entire Israel, but they plan to have 15 units. The 11 Iron Domes are already doing a good job "countering" the rocket attacks, but there is always a way to overwhelm the system, all you can do is try to intercept as many as possible, which is what Iron Dome is doing, most of the incoming missiles are intercepted, but a few landed
