I like how you speed thru sections since most of us 'get it'. However, toward the end of the video is shows the basket bottom edge as straight across. I think you may have edited out a crucial part. Shouldn't the basket weave end in 4 points? I'm confused.

Yes, of course, If you have 3-4 mm ropes you can reduce the length of rope for the same size or you want to have a longer basket with the 3-4 mm ropes by using the same dimensions. 😉👍
Oh my, I have watched parts of this video over and over and over. When you start closing up the bottom, how many knots are you do to before moving to another corner? I continued as watching the video.....and it goes clear across the bottom.....I have torn out so many knots I can't count how many. What is it that I am missing.....I used 4mm. and started with 16 cords each color, but my basket looks so much smaller, even though there are 8 one color and another. Does the size make this difference. Any suggestions. I will watch the video that you mentioned below, see if that can help. Watching the complete closing. So....I will undo my knots, and start all over. Maybe some day I will figure this out.....I love making baskets, but hate the closing. Ha.Ha.
Hi S Neal 🤗 First of all, thank you very much for your attention 😍 I used 5 millimeters of rope in this basket. You get a smaller basket because you use 4mm rope with the same dimensions. The closing part of this basket and the closing part of the basket in the other video are different. I recommend you to continue with this video. if you try the close in the other video, you will have tied more knots and may make the sole look bigger. Question: when closing together the bottom triangles, why did you started with three pairs of rope in the middle, and gradually put them aside?
Could I just use one pair since the beginning?

Hi Jessica 🤗 To tell you the truth, I have not knitted a basket with 3 mm rope before ☺️ But since 3 mm thread is thinner you should keep it shorter. For example it can be 200 cm 👍🏻 Good luck 💙🌼💙
