Overall this upgrade will make your car look more modern/high end from the interior all while giving you a better driver experience. It's not that expensive to do (about $250 the most) and takes about 2 hours (what takes long is aligning the screen). 10/10 Would recommend :D

If I upgraded to the same year uconnect as the cluster and bezel would the screen fit like normal you think?
unfortunately no, you’d need to order a harness for the radio to work and to get it to fit you need to cut out part of where the radio sits so the new one seats properly:c

Dope af! I was just thinking of getting a 12-14 charger R/T ! Seen one with 88k miles for under 13k. I don't like the instrument cluster tho... this video is showed me how to swap it out for the newer cluster... which looks fantastic in your ride. . .

Here’s how to get the gear selection menu:
You need to turn on cluster swap mode through the cluster’s tazer menu in order to activate the gear selection (PRND/M)

What buttons are u pressing in order to get to see the performance page
the directional pad on the steering wheel, i use the right arrow and res + buttons together as the missing ok button
When you got the other cluster did the computer put your miles up there or did you have to have it programed before
you’ll have to reprogram for miles, or find one with similar miles then swap when it hits the exact miles like I did (:

I have one question. I swapped cluster to my charger 14, but I don't know how to change units on the cluster to metrics (mileage, temperature, fuel economy etc).
I have changed units to metric on uconnect, but it does not affect to cluster, have you any suggestion? Maybe there is any option to do it by AlfaObd or Jscan?

By tazer you can only activate wheel buttons, and change current speed to km. How about for example odometer units..?
So the odometer mileage is stored in the cluster and not somewhere else? I guess changing the cluster will reset your mileage?
When you say new bezel, would that be a bezel from a 2015-2023 charger? Also, with the tazer, do you have to do anything extra before pressing cancel & the traction control button? Or will that just automatically work once the tazer is working & you have the SRT pages?

So why after I program it and everything. When I start the car my traction control light cuts on. I can’t even take it out of park , it’s like the shifter locked up and the check engine light is on buhh when I unmarry the car goes back to normal. Like I’m just trying try the sports mode

cluster with similar milage but you can reprogram them with alfa obd

I did the cluster swap and it has a front collision warning anyway to fix that. Also my mpgs and amount of fuel is messed up. And I also did the srt and perf pages will those temps being different then my 5.7 temps mess my engine or trans up. If anyone could just warn me about the harm of this swap and how to fix things I’d appreciate it
No harm to the car from doing the swap, even if the temps show different our 5.7 are still running at the normal temps it should be at 🙂 if you want the temp reading to be accurate you can swap in a 190 thermostat. plus it’ll let our hemi run a little cooler during summer months 🔥
Have you tried filling up and resetting the mpg?
As for the front collision warning, there might be a setting for it in the cluster menu settings.

Did this change the chime as well? It sounds like the 2015 chime when you start it up after the swap. It’s not super obvious but it is noticable
i never noticed if it changed and at this point i don’t remember what the original one sounded like😅
@@EverythingBoosted350 it’s basically the same sound but the speaker is definitely upgraded on the new one so it sounds a bit more modern

Certainly, the issue I have with this mod is using manual mode. Gears only show up on big screen. Not dash

i know they have a tazer for the jeeps, i’m just not too familiar with what it enables for the jeep. I’d say if the tazer (for jeep) has cluster swap mode i’d say yes.

the cluster and bezel can be found in junkyards and ebay, the tazer youd need to order through zautomotive’s website
I changed mine and steering wheel but my gauge is stuck on tire pressure anyway to change it back to the digital speed without buying taser ? Maybe disconnect battery
unfortunately no, also i don't think the new wheel is going to work (button wise)

Can you still use the original bezel or you have to get the 15+ bezel
you can modify the original to fit the new cluster but from what i’ve read, some of the people that have done it are happy but not fully satisfied so they ended up getting the 15+ bezel to get the look they wanted. In the end you can go either way :)
Another thing so does it matter what year of the model the cluster come off of or just use the 15 work

If you got a newer screen (2017-2020) would it still be adaptable to your RB5?
no because it’s not just the screen itself but the unit as a whole. You’d need 4 things to set it up.
1 radio 17+
1 harness for the radio
1 climate control panel
1 usb/aux port from 17+ (For Apple CarPlay)

Hey bro would be nice to know how much of a headache I’m getting myself into if my intentions are to swap the cluster and dash from a 2014 srt8 challenger. I know all the work was done by yourself but how much am I looking on spending if I buy everything to swap?
best bet would be a junkyard to save on cost, i got my cluster from ebay for $120 the dash panel at a junkyard for $40 and the tazer was $280. For the SRT trims those tend to be a little pricey online. I’ve seen any where from $200-$500 depending on conditions and SRT sub trims

I was looking at this aswell for the 2010 Challenger. I think the issue is that the entire front dash is a different build and may require an entire rebuild. I'm still searching for a solution though

do you have to leave the tazer plugged in all the time for a gauges to work? you can't just go through the tazer menu and click cluster swap and it won't stay? i'm wondering because i have a tuner that has to stay plugged into my obd2 port and i can't keep the tazer plugged in all the time because i need to tuner plugged in. is there is a way to just enable a cluster swap setting then unplug the tazer?
The gauges will work regardless but if you want to navigate through the menu options that the cluster has, you’re going to need to plug it in and leave it :(
There is another tazer that you can wire directly into your harness and it’ll give you the added feature to adjust your transmission shifts and keep your tuner plugged in :) but that’s up to you if your okay with splicing into your harness v:

that’s a very good question and i have no idea 🥲 if the splitter isn’t too expensive i say try it out, if not then the tranZformer by zautomotive will be your best bet to keep full cluster functionality and your tuner as well :)

i dont know if there’s a difference between the v6 and RT clusters other than the extra 20 on the speedo. with the tazer you’ll get access to the srt features though (:

yes they do but since i didnt put the sensors in my aftermarket wheels i shut off the tpms monitoring system with the tazer so the light didn’t annoy me lol

If you need the gear P-R-N-D icon.. you should go to radio page in the new cluster and go to tazer menu (press back and cancel in the steering wheel) go to performance page of tazer you will find:
sport mode for 5 speed gear turn it on
Sport mode for 8 speed gear also turn it on
And to icon for gear will show on in cluster

Okay one more question when you plugged in new cluster did it automatically come on screen want show or gauges move any just get red light by rpm then nothing trying to figure out if I got a bad unit or if I’m making a mistake when swapping. The guy said I have to get unit reprogrammed don’t know if any truth to that tazer is plugged in
everything should work on it with out the tazer except the ability to scroll through the menus, you’d need the tazer to scroll :) if it’s not starting up like a normal cluster then there’s something wrong. make sure it’s a 2015-2017 cluster and if you have a 2011 charger/challenger, try to get a pursuit cluster
