When you put those tiny pieces of clay on him it looked like he had scales until you made it look like fur
To be honest I didn't need to do it. It was my first time using monster clay and it seemed right to build it up in layers. If you watch my making tails video I don't do it and cut straight into the First layer

Ok I was really creeped out and disgusted by the scales you put on sonic but now that saw what it did that makes a lot of sense
To be honest I didn't really need to do it. If you check out the making tales video on the channel I get the same results without it. It was my first time using the material so I found something that worked and ran with it

I had to buy it online as no one near me sold it. It was about £35 a box at the time

Lime your work but i hate MONSTER CLAY it wilts in sunlight, and is not permanent.
You're not wrong. There are 3 consistency's though; hard medium and soft. The hard stuff seems to hold it's form better and survive in the heat. My general advise would be to keep them shaded where possible. It would depend on your climate too. It's generally quite mild here in the UK, we only get a handful of properly hot days. If you're planning on casting your models, probably a good idea to work in air conditioning where possible
